Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
As others have pointed out, stickers don‘t take that long to be designed The Lofi girl reference that @bricksandabear has pointed out comes to mind, the references in the upcoming Office set, and all the references throughout the videogames, if those count -

Wait, people hate the 2008 movie? I thought most people were just ‚meh‘ on it Now the 2003 one, that one deserves some vitriol Shredded Morbius arrives in his Morbmobile!! Get ready to get morbed! Hope the set references the memes somehow, even though it’s comic based. I love it when TLG acknowledges memes, like the Spidey picture in the Bugle set -

The costumes of what I assume are Phoebe Waller-Bridge‘s and Mads Mikkelsen‘s characters would make for some cool minifigs! Too bad we won‘t get to see the snippets of footage though -

Ah, I see! But they don‘t usually comment on why sets get rejected though, so them accidentally spilling the beans in that manner is not very likely -

Nobody knows at this point. Could be the $500 set, one that got cancelled, or there was some sort of mix-up (BP bust D2C + minifig-scale Hulkbuster in 2023 = Hulkbuster D2C ) -

I think you did a phenomenal job with the set Can‘t wait to add it to my collection! Expensive, yes, but people probably don‘t realise how enormous that model is. I‘ve seen some mockups on IG and it towers over the helmet sets! -
Disney Properties 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Soupperson1's topic in LEGO Licensed
Interesting. Never realised it was just a rumour started by KH fans, I thought there really was a rights issue behind it The first time I heard about it was back in 2016, when a fake rumour list for Disney CMF S1 was shot down, on the grounds that Tarzan and Jane were included. Good to know they‘re stil on the table for the upcoming series, even if very unlikely -

In light of the bust, I still don‘t get where that rumour came from. The leakers seemed so convinced and provided so many hints, and yet were completely off the mark here Unless there actually is a second BP D2C set, which would be sheer madness. No movie has ever had two D2C sets dedicated to it in that quick of a succession -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
My point was that it‘s going to be rejected 100% simply because TLG brought the theme back. A rejection thus won‘t hint at anything Enforced or not, I can‘t see them ever producing an Ideas set based on an active theme -

Thinking back, some things still don’t add up. Didn’t people say that the minifigs in the $500 set would be its saving grace? Assuming it’s the Hulkbuster - Ockham’s Razor and all that -, what would that translate to? IW versions of some characters? I mean those should be included in the small one coming in January Perhaps this is all the evil doing of TLG‘s leak manager -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Doubtful. Didn’t they claim the Hulkbuster was twice as tall as the previous one? If true, $350 would never have made sense, now that I think about it. Doubling the height of an object means 4 times the area and 8 times the volume, so it should be a lot more expensive than roughly double the price -

I’m really confused now. So there’s three options here: The Hulkbuster is the $500 set and the “BP vehicle” doesn’t exist We indeed get two huge BP D2C sets and the Hulkbuster rumour was false We get all three sets, which is a ridiculous notion. 3 Marvel $300+ sets within a month or two, two of which are BP-related (or all three, since it’s supposed to be the IW Hulkbuster)?! -

…what This not only has the Hulkbuster’s rumoured set number, but also its price! So the Hulkbuster must be the $500 set -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Highly doubtful. They don’t allow Ideas sets based on existing themes, which IJ already is, internally at least -
DC Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
They capitalised on it by selling the show‘s unborn sibling to the highest bidder Don‘t know why anybody expected a bunch of reality TV garbage hacks to be able to handle scripted TV, movies, and animation properly. Plus the comic department of DC. And merchandising. Classic example of failing upwards -

Received the latest DK book with the Percy minifig, but his hairpiece is broken, with a very noticable dent in the plastic Won‘t be easy to get a replacement piece since the hairpiece is currently exclusive -

BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don’t think that’s ever been an issue for them (case in point: the 2015 and 2016 X-Wings) These two sets might share some similarities, but one is an unlicensed hotel and the other a licensed bank, presumably with the Ironbelly resting on top. They don’t appeal to the same target audience -
