DC Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don’t think they can just rebrand a set like that, unless they have DC’s full blessing. And would they really want merch that was clearly intended to advertise their new movie to instead be a generic Flash product? -

A new Flash torso appears to have leaked Interesting, I thought the set was delayed until next year well before entering production… -

Finally seeing a physical LEGO Balrog will be bittersweet. While I‘d prefer a minifig-scale one, the Brickheadz set will do Excited to see where they‘re going with this! Can’t overstate how surreal and mindblowing it is to me to have new LOTR, Harry Potter, and Indiana Jones sets in the same year. All my favourite themes that aren’t Star Wars! It‘s like having Christmas, Easter and one’s birthday on the same day -

Not sure about that. Rumours about an N-1 appearing were swirling around ages ago (although people assumed it was for Mando S3 rather than TBoBF), so it isn‘t a stretch to think that TLG received the according concept art in time Or did the designers say it was fast-tracked? -

Looking good! Nice that we seem to get some additional hairpieces The two we currently have are great, but we do need more variety. Interesting that they’re already teasing the new sets, as they’re supposed to be released in January -

He‘s a ray of magical sunshine, don‘t you agree? He has way more than 516 followers (I‘m sure posting his account details should be fair as he exclusively reports about prototype parts and misprints, which sometimes includes prototype leaks)- 5,875 replies

It‘s not an animal part of course, but where else does it make sense to discuss it? Anyway, the prototype of an interesting new plant part leaked on IG Hope it shows up in a lot of sets (and in different colours too!)- 5,875 replies

The ships we see in the trailer don‘t look like Z95‘s to me though (assuming those are the pirate ships the set is based on) -

Nah, that would take way too long. As @Mandalorianknight points out, it’s extremely rare that sets get rushed out and the film’s current box-office simply doesn’t warrant such a reaction. If they had faith in the movie’s licensing potential in the first place, we would have seen sets in August And yeah, I definitely would have liked to see at least one set based on the movie. Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and Black Adam himself would have been excellent minifigs -

I wonder what we can expect out of these two sets figure-wise. Din, Grogu, a pirate (hopefully a new species rather than another Weeqyay, Nikto, or Klatooinian), a TIE Fighter pilot, and a Mandalorian to pilot the Fang Fighter are pretty much guaranteed (unless it’s Din piloting it). Personally, I’m hoping for that rumoured , Bo-katan, Greef’s new outfit, and Christopher Lloyd’s character on top of that Oh, and a member of Babu Frik’s species! Or is that too greedy? -

Out of all the potential Hagrid’s Hut remake ideas, this is my favourite, mostly because we’d then have modern versions of both incarnations of the hut plus the creature potential of a PS version would be the highest bar none We definitely need Norberta and Fang! Ok, we the former was technically included in the 2019 hut, but come on This would also be a good opportunity for a regular Hagrid fig to appear in a set after a two-year hiatus! Although my most anticipated Hagrid-related set idea would still be the Battle of the Seven Potters. After this year, it looks more likely than ever! -

Not really. Shrek‘s ears are very distinctive and iconic; so much so that they’re part of the logo. The Skrull ears are too far removed from that in my opinion To think that we could’ve had a Shrek minifig had Dimensions continued for a third year… -

Apparently, it isn‘t. From what I‘ve read, the viewership is ten times lower compared to the other shows, which isn‘t surprising in the slightest Doesn‘t bode well for more sets, which for once doesn‘t bother me too much. The only characters in this show I want minifigs of appear elsewhere anyway -

Not sure those books really are an indication of a new Voldy minifig. One of them gets published in Q2, so right when the 2HY sets are released, and books like that don‘t usually include minifigs that are this recent. Then again, the minifig being blacked out is curious… Maybe it‘s the one from the new AC? -

Didn‘t they announce last year that Vidiyo would return in 2023 in a new form (which is speculated to be Dreamzzz)? I‘m just a bit sceptical that the leaked parts belong to the cancelled 2022 wave Wasn‘t the cancellation announced well before set production would have started? And why do they leak now rather than last autumn? Then again, both parts fit the leaked set names, so maybe they really were catching dust for a year in a factory somewhere
