LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While they are very similar, the new medium brown and the old one (now renamed “light brown” in the bricklink nomenclature) are not the same: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp?utm_content=subnav Actually, I wouldn’t mind getting another Bo-katan. Her live-action armour is not exactly the same as the one in TCW, so it’d still be a worthwhile figure -

I wonder if the Fang Fighter set includes Moff Gideon with his recently rumoured The set will come out after the season has ended, just like this year’s N-1, so it wouldn’t be out of the question. And while they’re at it, they could use the new medium brown colour on him -
Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
…how exactly would that work? 1 episode with the Dursleys, 2 episodes of introduction, 5 episodes of random school nonsense, and then the season finale? I don’t think there is enough material for an entire season, unless you want to see full school classes I really hate the current trend of turning everything into a streaming series. So much filler. And good luck to the poor saps that would have to measure up to the likes of Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane. The Internet would eat them ALIVE -

Indeed, that is definitely may favourite thing to come out of FB! And having minifigs of the core cast at least is nice too. Would‘ve liked to see more of the eponymous beasts though, but alas… At least we will continue to get HP sets -

Looks like the FB franchise is toast. That’s definitely it for more sets too (as if it wasn’t blatantly obvious already, I know ). The itention of WBD’s dunce-in-chief to produce more films set in the WW has me worried. If they announce a CC adaptation or HP remakes, I’m out -

Never heard of that alleged leaker before… Are we sure they didn‘t just drill holes into a helmet themselves? -

Or non-TCW style versions of Jedi we got before (Even Piell, Eeth Koth, and Shaak Ti in particular). While that would be an amazing thing to get in minifig form, I can‘t see them ever producing a new part just for a background detail like that. The closest thing we’ve had before was the helmet in the Mandalorian Forge, but that was just an unprinted version of the normal piece -
LEGO Ninjago 2022
BrickBob Studpants replied to Gangikhan448's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yeah, that was weird. For a theme with so many different characters for each faction of antagonists, that wave really stood out in a negative way with so little variation between the snakes (and snake villains being overdone in general) Excited for that weapon pack though! I‘m not much of a Ninjago collector (only buying a set here and there), but these assorted weapons are always interesting -
Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion

Both of these sets are things they haven‘t done before, so I don‘t think they‘re running out of ideas anytime soon Good point about the complete zodiac though, there are quite a few left -

Tough sell for a kids toy though, sounds more like an 18+ set idea to me Granted, we got Unkar Plutt’s shop and the Armourer’s forge as regular playsets, but those had more to offer in terms of minifigs -

I think Luthen’s ship is the only good choice for another set, especially if Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera were to be included Unless there’s another interesting ship featured in the next three episodes of course -

Both sets look great Interesting how they‘ve repurposed the bigfig Thanos head here. The new rabbit mask looks a bit creepy though -

At this point it‘s just laughable we still don‘t have a Saw minifig. This guy has shown up in a movie, a live-action series, and 3(!) animated shows, and still NADA Not sure what‘s keeping them back. -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Also, Raymundo is first and foremost a collector of prototypes, oddly coloured parts, and misprints. Sometimes he gets ahold of leaks (like that new plant part or Tonks‘ hairpiece early this year), but those are usually prototypes as well. It could still be from an upcoming set, but since that hammer piece is not exclusive to Marvel, it could be a random weapon wielded by a Ninjago antagonist or a greebling detail in a bigger set to name two examples -

Hm. It‘s nice they‘re celebrating the 20th anniversary of CW, but won‘t a lot of people confuse it with TCW, which „only“ turns 15 next year? I definitely wouldn‘t mind if this resulted in a Durge minifig somewhere down the line, especially since he‘s canon again -

So far, nothing has struck me as set-worthy except for the Tac-Pods and Luthen‘s ship The show just doesn‘t lend itself to any toys, neither in the vehicle nor the figure department as 99% of the characters are ordinary humans in rather ordinary clothes or common Imperial uniforms. Why would I want minifigs of characters I can easily kitbash out of parts in my collection? Also, this is a show that features brothels, cold-blooded murder, the good guys taking a 12-year old kid hostage, people getting tortured to insanity by , and a concentration camp - like prison complete with Kapos. The perfect source material for sets! I enjoy the show more than I used to, but it‘s just so dark and bleak, LEGO sets are the last thing I think of when watching it -

What a surprise, it was just a ploy to advertise the MOC It‘s admittedly a nice MOC (despite my utter indifference towards the game), but I don’t get the fake leak angle -

I love all of them Very colourful builds, appropriate focus on the amazing sea creatures, and a very good minifig selection! Really glad they gave the Metkayina a different skin tone. Also, lots of interesting recoloured pieces! The purple carrots and turquoise bananas are hilarious
