Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
It’s morbin’ time! Looks like a decent line-up overall! Didn’t expect Infinity Saga sets in January, but I‘ll gladly take them! But where is the Quantumania stuff? -

Thanks for the news video! Pretty unexpected crossover! These could include some interesting new printed tiles -

Calling a Leviathan a vehicle is a bit of a stretch though I‘d love to get a proper one, but that could easily be realised as a much smaller model. X-Men sets have already been ruled out -

Now I’m wondering even more why they bothered with that new boxart for the 4+ set. I can’t imagine they created it just for this set, there simply has to be more to come at some point. Perhaps there were other sets planned and then delayed along with the Flash set, even though they‘d obviously be comic-based? Sucks that it will be a good while before we learn more. In all likelihood, the leaked set list will once again not differentiate beween the two themes, after all -

My point about ignoring the sets based on The Batman is that they can technically be viewed as 2021 sets, since that‘s when they got released in the US and Canada. The sets themselves are awesome though, ranking among my favourites in the entire theme! If you do count them, then DC 2022 is pretty much on par with HP 2011 with 4 sets -

No, you only get spare hilts. 4L bars are not included as spare parts, only 3L ones -

Now with the D2C confirmed as a Marvel set, this has to be the saddest year for any theme in the history of TLG. Ignoring the sets based on The Batman, the Art set, and the encyclopedia, we have a whopping one set, and a $10 4+ one at that I can‘t think of any other theme this has happened to before. If it weren‘t for the Flash, I‘d have expected the theme to be discontinued next year -

Come on, it can‘t be that bad! …right? Anyway, the recent hints have confused me more than anything. How can it be a vehicle celebrating the franchise if all the candidates that come to mind have already been ruled out? -

A $500 D2C set based on a movie that‘s not even out? Hulk‘s left foot has a better chance of becoming a set than that -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Because they must‘ve started to work on the sets in early 2021 for the initial 2022 release. The final delay of the movie was only announced last October, after all -

I‘d quit being a sort-of-completionist on the spot if that was the case. No chance in hell I‘d dish out $500 for something that has no business being anything but a 4+ set (And I know there was the buggy in the Bugle, but that was just a sidebuild) Also, I know I shouldn‘t judge the set yet, but they‘ve already failed I feel. A $500 set needs to be something so iconic that most people on the street would be able to recognise it on the spot. Marvel just doesn‘t have that with their vehicles Unless there‘s something I‘m overlooking here -

Oh. Well, a vehicle it is then Unlike DC, iconic vehicles aren‘t exactly Marvel‘s strongsuit. Can‘t think of anything iconic enough to deserve a $200 D2C set, let alone a $500 one. -

I know, but isn‘t that just based on the statement that the idea of a Quinjet was „on the right track“? There‘s other ways to interpret that -

I know it‘s Goyle‘s death scene, but A) they don‘t shy away from death scenes for villainous characters and B) including the Fiendfyre without the dummy that cast it would be a tad silly -

@Salix meant in the RoR scene in DH part 2 I think they were there, locked in a cage! -

Usually, I‘d agree. But with delayed sets, you never know if pictures haven‘t started circulating sooner than they should‘ve, like the Eternals catalogue pics -

Also, nobody has outright confirmed it to be a vehicle, have they? I‘d prefer a Thanos statue over a vehicle with 4 femtoseconds of screentime any day -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

…this is a $500 set. Why are people suggesting vehicles with only a few seconds of screentime?! Even with Star Wars they‘re very selective about what deserves a set at such a high price point -

I can think of three scenarios: Classic sets in January, Indy 5 in April Classic sets in April, Indy 5 in June All sets in April While I‘d vastly prefer the first option, the second one is pretty likely too, considering that’s what they‘re doing with Avatar (classic sets two months before the new movie, sets based on the new movie shortly before or after release) -

Yes. That‘d be perfect! Also, I hope they include a shark head for Krum, like in the 2005 set. Also hoping for some marine wildlife to be featured -

This sounds great!! Finally a proper DH part 2 set! Not what I would‘ve picked, but it‘s a good scene YES. The second task is long overdue! That new grindylow sounds amazing Not sure what to expect from the new gimmick sets. Hopefully you guys are right and they include the house ghosts -

That wouldn‘t make any sense though. As big as BP is, it‘s not „$500 UCS set depicting vehicle with limited screentime“ big -

Jedijacpenguin is hinting at a Cruella De Vil Brickheadz set next year I‘d prefer a minifig of course, but this is gonna be a cool addition regardless!
