I like the way you’re thinking! A giant statue of Thanos and/or Iron Man could make for a badass set! Though I‘d definitely prefer a Thanos statue. We already got a buildable Iron Man this year and then there‘s the upcoming Hulkbuster Mk II, which is also a buildable Iron Man (sort of)

Except for Trouble on Tatooine Not a bad set as such, but incredibly disappointing they didn‘t include Cobb Vanth. Also, Beskar Mando predictably was only exclusive to it for a couple of months. At least it‘s still a cheap way to get Grogu

Not really. There is only one PT-era playset, no sets based on stuff set between the PT and OT (Andor, TBB, Kenobi), no ST sets, no TBoBF set. Bet that stuff will come in 2HY, just like the last two years. As I’ve said at the end of last year, I just wish they balanced things out more. Now, 1HY seems to be mostly OT remakes with a couple other sets sprinkled in while the 2HY waves go all in with actual new and exciting material. For instance, this year they easily could‘ve released Obi-Wan‘s Jedi Starfighter in January to spice that wave up a bit! Same goes for the minifigs. Just compare the last two year’s 1HY selection with their 2HY counterparts, it‘s night and day!

As cool as a new Bomber is, the currently known minifig selection is megablocks. The pilot is an obvious inclusion, but what are Vader and a Gonk doing here? I seriously hope the final version includes something more interesting. The often suggested Ozzel isn‘t exactly the most exciting character ever introduced in SW, but I‘d prefer him over Vader #435 any day

Don’t forget the music! The funny thing is, I 100% agree with you there It is hands down my favourite scene in all of SW and the main reason why ROTJ is my favourite film in the franchise (RO being a close second). HOWEVER, I still think the diorama is pretty pointless. If it wasn‘t for the 2020 version, I wouldn‘t mind as much. It‘s just too soon for another one for my liking THIS. Andor is now the FIFTH project to feature Saw, and still no minifig. Plus a TBoBF set featuring those spoiler characters would be bloody amazing! When people were hyping up how good this wave was, something like this is what I had in mind!

Because they don’t offer any new minifigs and the scenes have been done before too Of course they’ll look good if this year’s dioramas are any indication, but do we really need another Death Star duel so shortly after the previous one, with the exact same minifig selection again? Granted, there isn’t much to be done in that case. Except for going with, y’know, a different scene altogether?

To be honest, this was pretty overhyped A new TIE Bomber is cool, but its alleged minifigs are nonsense, the dioramas are again supremely boring OT-fests, and no Andor sets. The highlights are definitely the BP and the Mando sets!

By “new” I mean something we’ve never had before, like an Incinerator Trooper or Purgetroopers, not clones we’ve been getting since 2002 I don’t count a slightly tweaked torso print as “new” Sounds promising! Not a particularly high bar to clear though

There could be, but after this year‘s mediocrity, I‘m not really that excited for more Unless they include something new this time, of course! If there even are any new ones in the first place, that is. Second half of the year Btw, there is a rumour that one of the two helmet sets is Rex (Phase II). That‘s what y‘all have been waiting for, right?

I wouldn‘t place too much stock in the guy that gave the world Honey Boo Boo Not too much hope left for DC, neither the films nor the sets. Hopefully they surprise us next year, but my gut says the DC theme is toast

When I first saw that list, I got really excited! …until I realised that we once again only get three sets in January And the three larger ones near the bottom of the list are surely more OT dioramas. While I hope there’s still something interesting among them, I’m definitely more curious about the 2HY stuff, based on the last three years. That’s where it gets exciting!

I don‘t blame you. The last two years have melted into one in my mind. If it wasn‘t for the LEGO release schedule, I couldn‘t tell them apart If the first wave gets released in January, which I hope is the case, they‘ll be revealed in late October/early November anyway, as that‘s when we see official pictures for most of the January releases

The final delay from July 2022 to June 2023 was only announced last October Still early enough to easily adjust set production though. I certainly hope that‘s the case! If Minions and Trolls deserved a fancy announcement, then so does Indy D23 is right around the corner, but I doubt we’ll get an announcement there. At least we might get to see some new stills from the movie plus an overdue title reveal! At this point, I‘ll take anything
