Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wish somebody would finally just come forward and tell us what it is No idea why there is this much secrecy surrounding it compared to every other D2C this year -

Which is funny, because the previous Sanctum was also designed by him D2C set or not, Ramsden working on Gringotts would be amazing! However, there are plenty of other great designers too, so I‘m sure it‘s gonna be an excellent set no matter who ended up working on it -

I thought they were just talking about the Hogwarts Express, but you‘re right, this could indeed refer to the $500 set If so, the AT can 100% be ruled out. Maybe it really is an icons collection or something -

Seems quite uncharacteristic of Bessa to just give away that a Gringotts set is in the works. He usually played more coy when asked about upcoming stuff Whatever they end up doing (D2C, 100$ set, multiple smaller ones), I hope they do include the Ukrainian Ironbelly. Minifig-wise, there‘s not much I absolutely need to have here, except for some Goblins (like the one on the store mural, who’s probably meant to be the head goblin from PS), Ron‘s Dragomir Despard disguise, and an updated Bellatrix (preferably involving the head from CMF S2, torso from the Burrow set plus a new printed dress piece). And maybe a guard or two? -

I’ll only get excited for it once we have rumours I’ve gotten my hopes up for nothing three years in a row now That’s seriously what people complain about? Epilogue Ron and Hermione being absent is a valid point of criticism, but this is pretty laughable. 90% of these characters just wear regular pants, so what kind of printing do they want? Intricate denim details?! Pointless shoe printing? -

Between Ironheart Mk 2 and BP Shuri, no wonder they haven’t revealed the fourth set yet! And even though she’s not among the leaked minifigs, I still hope Namora’s included. Would be a huge shame if she wasn’t, really like her design -

That shouldn‘t come as a surprise, the minifig on the boxart didn‘t have that either after all. Also, I‘m not convinced M‘Baku‘s colour scheme is actually olive green. Might just be the quality of the picture. This is „the dress“ all over again -

I don‘t think Hogsmeade station ever stood a chance against KC. I know they included it in the 2004 set, but in terms of sheer iconicity, nothing it can offer even comes close to platform 9 3/4 -

Just opened my delivery and inside was… the Anniversary Castle. Dang it, first time I ever was disappointed by getting exactly what I had orderded! -

Turning the wheels I suppose? Also, turns out there are no secret minifigs included... So we’re either never going to see two thirds of the epilogue trio or they might take valuable spots in a third CMF series, if we ever end up getting that. Oh well. -

From what I’ve heared, the issue seems to be confined to New Zealand and Australia. I hope it‘s more widespread than that As much as I want the castle, I wouldn‘t complain if I was greeted by this in the coming days -

It‘s certainly possible they included Ron and Hermione as secret figures, but if so, why them? Harry and Hagrid made at least some sense as they were the first characters to enter DA, which also fit perfectly with the plaque. What do Ron and Hermione specifically have to do with a HE ticket? -

I for one am very glad it‘s a Crocodile style display model Much easier to display, compared to a huge rail setup as I initially feared! I love pretty much everything about this set except for: Lack of epilogue Ron & Hermione Lack of space to display all the minifigs on the exterior without it being overcrowded Not everything being visible at once (e.g., the back of the platform) unless you display the set on a table or desk The fact this got made before Gringotts, should‘ve swapped places -

Exactly. So wouldn‘t it also make sense to sell that building located in London in their huge store in London? I wouldn‘t be surprised if customers asked about that set every single day once they see that display -

Turns out, it‘s wall decoration found in the reopened Leicester Square store: https://blocksmag.com/first-look-inside-the-worlds-biggest-lego-store/ *Putting on tinfoil hat* A Gringotts goblin illustration complete with new mould next to a huge Gringotts model including the dragon? Would they include this in the flagship store if they didn‘t have any plans? 2023 may finally be the year -

A BD BP would be incredibly pointless nowadays The 2007 one at least introduced SBDs in a new colour and made them available for the first time since the OG Gunship. Now they’re so widespread it’s comical -

I refuse to believe that Batgirl was so bad it couldn‘t be released on any medium. I mean this is the same studio that merrily gave us such gems as Suicide Squad and Justice League Regardless of quality, this easily would have made its budget back and then some, at least if it was released theatrically. -

Maybe they thought they‘d have to include their kids as well? In that case, I‘d gladly sacrifice all of the kids! …don‘t use that quote out of context -

Looks good! Now that the minifigs start leaking: I know it’s unlikely, but I still hope that epilogue Ron and Hermione will somehow be part of the minifig line-up. Omitting them would be a dumb move IMO -

How would that even work? I assume that merchandising partners would be absolutely furious and demand hefty compensations. Even if the film was cancelled before the set(s) entered production, a lot of money has already been spent on designing the product(s) -

I was referring to the Hulkbuster. The Sanctum got released everywhere on Aug 1st and is thus not a D2C set
