  1. They’re scheduled for March and thus among the final Dots products. Farewell
  2. There are accounts on IG that only repost stuff from leakers. I don’t mind them, live and let live, but they often fall for fake leaks because they don’t look into these “sources”. They just repost whatever they find. This can then snowball into more and more people believing these bogus “rumours”
  3. And yet, some of your typical repost accounts report this BS without a second thought They never learn, will they?
  4. Yeah, let’s all believe the rando with no track record Fake. NEXT
  5. This just keeps getting better!! Hope some of the other sets will have a similarly ecclectic minifig selection
  6. 100% agreed. You can make a solid case for a brickbuilt Rancor or other creatures of similar sizes, but anything smaller often looks pretty bizarre, Porgs being a rare exception in my eyes. None of the brickbuilt versions of Jabba I’ve seen look nearly as good as the 2012 moulded one.
  7. Personally, I’m fine with that. They did everything from the first two films that I wanted them to tackle
  8. Holy moley, the list is real then!! Stitch looks great Nice that they finally reuse Rio’s arms! I guess this is one of the pictures Promobricks have seen before they confirmed the list. Can’t wait to see more!
  9. Nah, most likeky they hint at one of those princesses being included in one of the upcoming sets. If there was a chase figure, they would have mentioned it in their article
  10. Sure, those themes might not be the best examples out there, but even popular themes like LotR/TH and PotC only got sets in the same year new movies were released. Well, at least they have enough confidence in the theme to release classic sets in the first place, that's more than can be said for other themes *stares at 2015 Jurassic World output*
  11. Huh, I thought 76388 was smaller than that. I stand corrected then
  12. That‘s because it‘s an existing part, originally introduced for The Penguin in the TLBM sets. I wouldn‘t read too deeply into that. Also, the catalogue was officially released, it wasn’t a leak
  13. My thoughts on all of these: Oswald: makes perfect sense as an anniversary figure, and after his upcoming debut as a BrickHead it was kind of inevitable Pinocchio & Jiminy: some of the most iconic characters of the golden era, goes without saying. Love the inclusion of the goldfish! Sorcerer’s Apprentice: no surprise, but still a welcome one! This one was on everyone’s lists for good reason Tiana & Facilier: So stoked for these two!! Facilier is easily one of my favourite Disney villains with a great song to boot Queen of Hearts: Excellent companion to the Wonderland figures in Series 1 Aurora: Finally! So nice to see them finally include animal sidekicks Mulan: Perfect choice, even though I would’ve preferred Mushu as the accessory Ernesto & Miguel: Fantastic choice, as Coco is one of my absolute favourite Pixar movie Pocahontas: Another good one! Would‘ve like Meeko though Cruella: Another one everybody expected Glad they include a dalmatian, wonder which one it is Robin & John: Classic movie, and it‘s nice to see more anthropomorphic animal representation (outside of the mice and ducks I mean) Stitch: Would‘ve preferred Lilo, but I like the idea very much! Baymax: YES Evil Queen: Perfect choice! Makes you wonder where Snow White is… If this list turns out to be fake, this will be the start of my villain origin story. My fury will be unleashed, and the evildoers will not escape my wrath. Be prepaaaaaared
  14. Exactly! However, I’m just glad we’re getting more LotR stuff, even if there aren’t any playsets
  15. Holy friggin shit, if this list is real, it’s gonna be my favourite CMF series ever released!! It sounds way too good to be true though
  16. That’s awfully optimistic LOTR technically isn’t even a theme, since it consists of BrickHeadz and an Icons set, if you look at the set number. So that one certainly won’t become evergreen. The last licensed themes to do so were Harry Potter and Jurassic World, and I doubt either Indy or Avatar are able to compete with those two merchandise juggernauts
  17. I was thinking of the April wave. There’s next to zero chance we get to see anything from 2HY, regardless of theme. You can thank those pesky bootleggers for that
  18. LTF can be safely ruled out as we never get pics from there, unless you count the outside of the stand in 2012 that gave us a first look at the Fellowship (nice memories). Nuremberg is a tiny bit more promising, but even then it’s not that safe of a bet. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t all of the official reveals since 2018 like the Great Hall and the Razor Crest take place exclusively at the NYTF? Too bad that one’s in September this year Sure, they could always reveal the sets online during one of the fairs, but that’s kind of pointless since they may just as well reveal them on a random Tuesday, you don’t need a closed-doors event for that
  19. I wouldn’t be opposed to a Hogsmeade expansion, but I’m hoping for something else for the two unknown sets, especially at those price points Expansions that are larger than their precursors always strike me as a bit odd (even though that’s what Gringotts technically will be )
  20. That could work too My personal preference would be a mixture of one or two regular playsets a year plus a yearly D2C, which could last us for roughly three years. I think that’d be more than enough to cover everything important from the 5 movies. While that’s pretty unlikely to happen, I won’t be disappointed either way. I’m just so glad this theme returns, short-lived as it may end up being
  21. Yes, there was no actual rumour about that, only rampant speculation As for this year, we haven’t heard any 2HY rumours yet. If I’m not mistaken, Promobricks tend to unveil the Marvel 2HY set lists right after the Harry Potter ones, so with any luck we might have our list soon! Then again, the HP list was published a monthly earlier than usual, so who knows what happens
  22. I don’t see the relation there. So far, no theme has been extended just for the sake of a game To be honest, I’ve taken a continuation of the theme into 2024 for granted, which I now realise would completely break a trend that has been going on for the last ten years. Movie-licensed themes either disappear after the first year (Toy Story 4, Incredibles 2, Trolls, Minions, Angry Birds, Lightyear) or they become evergreen (Jurassic World). Post-movie waves (Cars 2, Indy 2009) aren’t a thing anymore Indy doesn’t really have that much potential to become evergreen, so unless they make an exception, these two waves might be it, and this time for good That said, there is one thing Indy has that none of the other discontinued-after-the-movie themes did: an 18+ set, which tend to have pretty decent shelf lives. That might indicate that the theme could stick around a bit longer
  23. I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but I’m completely indifferent regarding the switch to boxes for future CMF series as I buy full display boxes anyway Even if I bought individual packs, I’d still prefer boxes. I wouldn’t want to buy something people have been touching this extensively, especially post-Covid
  24. While the DoD sets still have no release date attached, I think they‘re rumoured to hit shelves in June, in which case we do have 2HY sets While most licensed themes don’t seem to outlive the immediate aftermath of a movie’s release anymore (unless they’re evergreen of course), I hope Indy gets treated a bit better. The last non-evergreen theme to continue at least a year after the respective movie’s release was probably Cars 2.
