  1. In the lifestyle images, they suggest using it as a pencil holder So that’s what they meant when they said DOTS (or the concept at least) would live on And if you really hate Star-Lord, you can use it as a toilet brush holder!
  2. Hopefully I’m not setting us up for disappointment, but reveals could be imminent as the first GotG set scheduled for April has been unveiled. Granted, there are still sets scheduled for March we haven’t seen yet, but I’ll remain optimistic
  3. Excellent Fingers crossed the other GotG sets get revealed soon too
  4. Over in the Disney thread He says the pictures look convincing, but also recommends remaining sceptical If it’s a hoax, it’s a very elaborate one. Like a sting operation. Nobody creates fake leaks just to try and convince a mod on EB, they’d usually proudly present them on IG
  5. Yes. It just means that some of the set numbers belong to DC rather than Marvel
  6. I'd be more than okay with that. Don't get me wrong, Rivendell is amazing, but Barad-dûr would make for a much cooler $500 set
  7. Nice to hear DC ain’t dead after all
  8. I meant the immediate pipeline, as in this year Of course nobody except them knows what's coming in future years. Sure, there could be playsets in 2024 or beyond, but why start with an Icons set and Brickheadz?
  9. I just hope they don’t get cancelled as a tax write-off
  10. Where did you find that? Edit: It‘s a custom set by fourstud, formerly known as CM4Sci I knew that sounded familiar!
  11. According to @Brick Clicker, the $160 castle set may include minidolls. If true, my interest in it will drop to zero Just like the Frozen set two years ago
  12. Out of all the rumours emanating from the alleged survey, the HP sets are the only ones I actively dislike. A $250 Burrow is the pinnacle of pointlessness. We already have an amazing set at half the price. Who needs this? Let alone that wrinkly old shabby hat If this is true, the 2023 wave will drop HARD in my ranking
  13. Long story short: he‘s the moderator the leaker has shown their pictures to. While he‘s sceptical too, he says they‘re the highest-effort forgeries he‘s ever seen, if they‘re fake that is. He also points out how little the leaker gains by lying, which is true. I‘m very sceptical too, but we will see if there is something to this story. Or maybe it‘s all an elaborate sting operation masterminded by TLG
  14. Just to clarify, @Clone OPatra vouches for the recent rumours, so there might be something to it after all I‘m still taking it with the biggest non-lethal dose of salt imaginable! Actually, I‘d much rather have a Barad-Dûr as opposed to a Rivendell set, but maybe that’s just me
  15. Except for the two Harry Potter sets, those would be pretty pointless Some of the others would be incredible, if true!
  16. I‘d be surprised if LOTR was anything but a pure 18+ line (plus BrickHeadz) The fact there‘s nothing else in the pipeline is a pretty clear indication. Had they planned playsets, why wouldn’t they release them before/alongside the big D2C set? And the fact said set is part of the Icons theme speaks volumes too
  17. Their source might be this thread though
  18. It’s obviously Adam Warlock, they even managed to perfectly capture Will Poulter‘s magnificent signature eyebrows!
  19. @Clone OPatra: Thanks for clarifying! I still find those rumours extremely hard to believe (including the idea that TLG would ever conduct surveys like that), but if those rumours turn out to be true, I’ll have to eat humble pie and apologise for poking fun at @JeanGreyForever. My reaction may have been overblown, but can you really blame us with all the fake rumours we have to deal with on a regular basis?
  20. The Adam Warlock minifig has leaked in the usual place!
  21. That story has so many holes it‘s not even funny. A survey about D2C sets? What would even be the point? The only things you could assess this way are the concept and the look/scale of the model. Wouldn‘t building experience be a much more important factor? Why ask random people online if you could recruit people to give feedback in person at the LEGO House? And let them sign an NDA? Then there‘s the secrecy. The same company that managed to reduce leaks to the lowest point we‘ve been at is now fine with letting people see prelims of licensed D2C sets? And the people conducting the survey are okay with that info being shared? They must really hate their jobs then And why would they conduct a survey so late in the game? Something tells me they wouldn’t alter or cancel a set a couple of months ahead of release based on survey results, so the survey would be entirely pointless to begin with. Or is the plan to hope for as many lucky guesses as possible, and the rest will then be explained away with „they must‘ve been cancelled due to bad feedback“? How convenient. Also, the „rumours“ haven‘t spread to IG. If they‘re not credible enough even for them, that‘s saying something
  22. These all translate very well into BrickHeadz form, except for EVE‘s 1000 yard stare perhaps Also, I can’t wait to see all the monstrosities you can create with those 2x2 BrickHead eyes
  23. It’s definitely up there, but my 1# pick for most unbelievable rumour of the day is the Zelda set Indeed. Even with the upcoming continuation of the animated show, I doubt they’d tackle the team before they are firmly established in the MCU. A small set here or there is plausible, but a big D2C set can safely be ruled out for now
  24. Since when do we need the permission of a moderator to post rumours? If this were true, they easily could have named the moderator. Why hide it? The lie would only be found out once every single moderator denies this, which buys the “leaker” some time Have you seen the other “leaks”? They’re all ridiculous on their own, but combined, it’s even worse. No set numbers, huge price ranges, do not fit in with what we currently know, prelim pictures of sets it doesn’t make sense for, incredibly wish-listy.
  25. The Mask of the Phantasm has its 30th anniversary this year, but that doesn’t make the rumour any more believable. MotP is a fan-favourite, but wasn’t it a pretty big box-office bomb? Doesn’t exactly scream “$300 set” to me
