LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just as a heads-up: A EB member is currently spreading obviously made-up rumours in all the licensed threads. Don’t be surprised if they barge in here, claiming to have seen pictures of a Jedi Temple or Petranaki Arena set -

As I said in all the other threads you posted “leaks” in, this is extremely unbelievable. Pics or it didn’t happen -

A BTAS set for $300? If you want people to fall for your rumours, you have to try a lot harder. This is beyond parody -

Come on people, haven’t we learned anything? Do not believe rumours unless reliable leakers can back them up -

Um, no. After all the other ridiculous rumours that were just spread in other threads, I‘m not gonna buy into a single of these -

Come on, an X-Mansion, a Batman The Animated Series set, a Zelda set, and now another LOTR rumour? Nice try, but none of these are even slightly believable. Try harder -

He’s right though, @Ashnflash’s model is superior Feel free to disagree, I just think the minifigs are much better designed and the colour scheme and building techniques align a lot more with official models -

I do wonder what happens if they approve one of the Shrek models. Would both creators get credit as well as a cut of the profits, or would they simply pick the model they prefer? As far as I’m aware, this hasn’t occurred before. The Office set had at least two different entries, but they only picked the resubmitted version of one of them (which sucks for the other person who didn’t try again). -

While I agree, this is a pretty pointless change Good thing this theme has a substantial budget, otherwise this would be rather wasteful -

Ah yes, the most trustworthy source of them all: the Youtube comments section Yeah, this sounds like utter hogwash. Another Great Hall after only two years? Get outa here If you‘re lucky, you may find them towards the end of February. Some shops do break street dates -

Since when is Boushh’s helmet not iconic? Virtually everything in Star Wars is instantly recognisable -

No. Andres from Zusammengebaut was there as well and nobody’s allowed to share anything. He said maybe at a later point, which probably means once the official pics are out I assume they had to sign an NDA or something of that nature -

Does that rumour come from a reliable source? Because a fifth DC game sounds rather weird, considering the current state of the theme. Unless this is supposed to mark some kind of comeback -

Honestly, they may be dead Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the Endgame pack we got last spring was the last one and there aren’t any rumours for any theme -

Yeah, I’m not overly fond of that concept. Depends on the execution However, as long as we have the following ingredients, it has potential to be a great Indy film: a scene with lots of critters (maybe the eels from the trailer?) a temple/vault/grave with imaginative booby traps chase scenes the main antagonist getting killed by the McGuffin the muscular henchmen getting accidentally killed in a gruesome yet hilarious fashion snakes Funnily enough, all of these scenes and elements can easily be recreated in LEGO sets too The death scenes only indirectly of course, but still -

True, but why would the list only be partially correct? Since we also know a lot of the accessories, somebody must’ve seen pictures, which means it was already too late for changes in the production schedule. Theoretically the informant could’ve confused some characters for others, but that strikes me as very unlikely too, given how distinct they are. The only semi-realistic way was if the informant saw the same minifigs Promobricks did and simply made up the rest of the list. Sure hope not though, this has to be real -

Huh, really? I always vastly prefered the other two acts, but maybe that’s just me My favourite scene is the one with the siafu ants. Muscle-bound henchmen dying gruesome deaths is one of the staples of the series, after all (with the exception of LC, of course). Hope they keep that tradition up in DoD, but the casting of Olivier Richters tells me they will Speaking of which: I hope we get as many of the new characters in minifig form as possible With four sets, this should be manageable! -

I like both of these, but personally I would‘ve preferred Cody‘s more iconic phase II helmet Either way, it‘s refreshing to finally see some PT-era helmets Hoping for ST-era helmets next year. A Kylo Ren helmet in particular could look interesting, especially the cracked version seen in TROS -
Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I really don‘t get why it‘s so hated. Sure, there are some ridiculous scenes (nuking the fridge, Mutt doing a Tarzan impression), but it‘s not like the previous films didn‘t have scenes like that either, it‘s part of the charme to me Then there‘s the aliens/interdimensional beings which draw a lot of contempt for some reason. I think the concept fits perfectly into the era (alien conspiracies, area 51, the Cold War, mind-control and all that) and I don‘t see why they are supposedly so much worse than all the other supernatural encounters Indy had. I mean, some of the books/comics/games feature stuff that‘s so out there it makes aliens look quaint in comparison I think the ant mould might still be around, so a set featuring them would work After all, the ant piece was used in a different colour in 2015 for the Ant-man set -

Same. I don‘t need a remake of every single one of the 2008 sets, but new versions of all the main characters plus minifigs based on missing characters (Mac and Oxley) would have been great -
