LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Looking at the prices, that‘s pretty unlikely That would definitely be controversial. Personally, I would really be disappointed if that were the case. We need some balance! -

Maybe. As far as I’m aware, RoP merch doesn’t exist yet due to rights discussions, but once that gets settled, they might actually do something for S2 -

Excited to see how many sets it’ll be Three would be great, but I’d rather not have another 4+ set -

Pretty big, I would guess. TLG have opened a ton of stores in China recently, and the themes geared towards the Chinese market (Lunar New Year and Monkie Kid) seem to be doing well -

That would be my guess. There are a lot of small sets on that list, after all -

Yes, because you‘ve seen only their names I‘m still convinced you know more than you let on What would a Hogwarts Grounds set even include? Some grass? -

Do they just "think" that or can it be taken as confirmation?! The phrasing is a bit ambiguous -

Maybe? But they reiterated in the same IG story that none of the leaks are guaranteed to happen, so that'd be a tad inconsistent -

That‘d be the absolute best-case scenario for me! I‘m not expecting in to actually happen though. We need new Joker and Harley variants instead!! -

GWP sets don't feature new parts though, which the Witch King would require An exclusive print or two is all you can expect there, at most! Also, wouldn't we have heard about a GWP set by now, if there was going to be one? We knew about the delayed GWP that was supposed to be released alongside the Jazz club modular months in advance (the one that leaked today). -

The only ones he guessed correctly were Avatar and Indy, which were both VERY obviously getting sets. Broken clock and all that I have some secret insider knowledge too: CA:NWO and Thunderbolts will get sets! Incredible, right?! Hey, Dune is pretty popular! I don’t know how well a LEGO theme would sell, but the recent two-part adaptation is excellent IMO and well-liked. B2T: Still not sure what to make of that X-Mansion. Some of the minifigs shown here would be cool to get, but the model itself needs some serious work. If this was the only leak, I wouldn‘t believe it was real -

Um, no. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great piece, but it doesn’t fit the Middle-Earth style of Orc at all, in my opinion. Looks more like the WoW orcs with their tusk-like teeth -

That Sailbarge set is definitely one of the few among the survey leaks that could still reasonably be released this year. It would fit in perfectly with the 40th anniversary of ROTJ and the alleged Max Rebo leak Then again, it looks decisively less polished than a lot of the other sets and as has been pointed out before, TLG is notoriously nonchalant about celebrating anniversaries Exciting times either way! -

The theme codenamed “Sparkle” is allegedly based on Gabby’s Dollhouse, a Netflix show produced by Dreamworks. Never heard of the series before, but it features a lot of cat characters, so we might get some interesting new cat pieces here- 5,876 replies

LEGO Gabby's Dollhouse 2023 Discussion

Exactly. We’re definitely not the target audience for this, but the cat pieces could be interesting! This would mark the fourth Netflix collab then, after Stranger Things, Camp Cretaceous, and Queer Eye -

Exactly! I’ve seen comments that this set should only be $300 or less. Come on, this is 80cm wide, at least 40cm tall, and pretty deep too! I think the price is justified, especially with the piece count and number of minifigs in mind Edit: It’s actually either 11 or 12 Hobbits tall, depending on which one you pick as a reference Hoping for the former, would save me a headache -

I was surprised too! It doesn’t look that tall, but the tower on the left is 12 Hobbits tall …I hereby propose to use Hobbits as a measuring unit. You’re welcome. -

I hope they only slightly tweak the old faceprints, as they were all pretty much perfect In general they’ve been really consistent with faceprints for the last 10+ years, so the 2012 ones wouldn‘t look out of place at all. Heck, they’re still using the 2012 Bruce Wayne faceprint! Pretty stark contrast to the dark times (pre 2010), where nothing was consistent and every theme had different styles Btw, is my estimation correct that Rivendell is roughly 42 centimeters tall? I found some shelf space, but if the model is any taller, I’m screwed -

I was too busy gawking at the other leaks to pay proper attention to the Rivendell one. Man, this is such a gorgeous set! I was expecting a microscale model with 3-4 minifigs, so this by far surpasses all of my expectations! Not only do we get the entire fellowship, but so many other cool minifigs including the long-awaited old man Bilbo. And the build itself is phenomenal! Amazing colour scheme too. The choice to restart the theme with Rivendell felt weird to me ever since it was announced, but after seeing this, I have to say they made the right call. Can‘t wait for official pictures Hope the leakers are right and we get to see it next week. And then there‘s Barad-dûr. If this doesn‘t get released, I will personally lead an Orc army into Denmark -

On top of that, as others have pointed out before, including Rivendell would be an incredibly boneheaded move if this was all just a troll. Why purposefully include a set that will reveal the truth in less than a month? Had Rivendell not been included, we could’ve stayed in the dark for an entire year! -

Nah, look at how detailed and massive some of these are. You don‘t design something like that in just a couple of days, this must at least take months! Sure, the X-Mansion looks pretty rough, but all the others look like they have a lot of work put into them
