He kinda has to be, after being absent for so long. The last one was the golden anniversary version in 2021, and DA before that Not expecting much out of these two besides Hagrid, the trio, Fred and George, Ginny, and a couple of students.

I do feel bad for hammering this in as I don’t wanna destroy people’s hopes, but it just ain’t looking good. Trust me, I would sacrifice A LOT of sets in other themes in exchange for more Indy stuff, so it’s not like I want the theme to be discontinued. But crafting flimsy theories why more sets must be coming won’t magically make that a reality. These are the facts: TLG is not on the list of DoD licensees. They have never before released the first wave of sets based on a new movie after its release, and especially not the following year. (Avatar TWoW doesn’t count as some shops broke the street date and the Ant-Man figure is a result of a shift in release schedules) Spoilers don’t matter as Hasbro releases a ton of DoD products and even No Way Home got tie-in sets. No movie-licensed theme that only got three sets in its first year continued further. Follow-up waves for non-evergreen themes do not exist anymore None of this means it’s impossible for there to be more in 2024. But it’s incredily unlikely. Applying Ockham’s razor, I think they produced these three sets to tie in with the movie and that’s it

They better hurry up if they still wanna report their scoop Last year‘s sets were officially revealed at the beginning of April, after all! The fact I‘m only excited for one of the June sets is pretty sad though. Even 2021 had more to offer!

My thoughts on the individual sets: Swamp speeder: Not the legion I would‘ve picked, but it goes nicely with the previous S7 TCW sets they‘ve released. I don‘t have high expectations for the speeder itself, but it could be a decent (albeit small) model. Yoda‘s Jedi Starfighter: YAWN. Just as bland as expected. Republic Gunship: No new characters, but at least ones we haven‘t seen in a while! I like the colour scheme of that particular Gunship version too. The Ghost: Sounds neat, even though the minifig selection could be more exciting. Jacen is the main standout. T-6: Glad to hear Huyang is included! Definitely among the most exciting minifigs here. Unknown Ahsoka set: Ezra and Thrawn are nowhere to be seen it serms, but it still has potential. Venator: Unexpected, but I‘ll take it! Still need to figure out where to put it. A TCW UCS set of that caliber throws a wrench into all of my plans Uh oh. Now that the hunger for Cody and Rex has been satiated, I see there‘s the next target on the rise

You do realise those are 1) sets based on classic movies that stood the test of time, whereas DoD could suffer the same fate as KotCS, and 2) were released close to the release of a new movie? Or do you think they would‘ve brought the theme back if it wasn‘t for DoD? If TLG actually thought the sets didn‘t need that boost, they would have kept the original April 2022 release date. Out of curiosity: what are you going to do with all of the bricks and minifigs? Create XXL versions of all the models?

This is one of the very few instances where the screen accuracy they‘ve been going for in the reboot is a detriment to the set. OotP Death Eaters are near the top of my wishlist, but they most likely won‘t include one here since they were all unmasked for the battle. I know it‘s symbolic of Voldy‘s take-over, but it‘s still a bit silly to completely remove the intimidation factor. It’d be like Stormtroopers running into battle with their helmets removed So the pool of potential baddies is Voldy, Bellatrix, Scabior, Narcissa, Lucius, random unmasked Death Eater (booooooooo!!!), and Fenrir. Hope it‘s the first three

Not gonna happen, but if they released 77014 and DoD sets after all this kerfuffle, I would buy enough copies of each to build a coffee table out of the boxes

Not gonna watch a single second of that. Why is EVERYTHING being turned into cheap streaming shows now? Are they really that financially viable? And if they do sets, I’m not gonna buy them. I might be a completionist (sort of), but I do have standards too

Disney reportedly told Lucasfilm to focus purely on Star Wars from now on, so yeah… More sets in 2024 is unlikely in general. DoD sets in 2024 is next to impossible. No kid is going to care about DoD sets so long after the movie leaves theatres. Also, TLG is not on the list of licensees, which would certainly cover future tie-in products too. You can hope for more classic sets next year all you want, but there is no way for DoD sets to get made. Even if they were THIS worried about spoilers, they would have found a way. Hasbro will still release stuff. And even No Way Home got tie-in sets, loosely inspired as they were

He never said that. On the contrary, he said he won’t know about 2024 sets until Autumn, just like the rest of us I did. I’m not hoping for any additional sets anymore

Minidolls and minifigs look awkward next to each other in a collection. I didn’t mind the ones in the TLM2 sets as it was on a meta level, but here it would just be inconsistent. Also, as a completionist (sort of), I cannot justify getting this while ignoring all the other minidoll sets from the last few years. I have an all-or-nothing mentality when it comes to collecting, for the most part
