  1. Going by the last couple of years, don‘t expect any leaks for the August sets anytime soon The June sets however will likely be revealed at the end of April or beginning of May. Not much of consolation given how uninteresting that wave is, I know
  2. Watch them pull a TBOBF, and release a set based on the Ahsoka episode from Mando S2 instead. Or better yet, her appearance in TBOBF Granted, I wouldn‘t mind that at all for a regular set, but a tie-in set to a show should, well, be based on that show
  3. In my opinion: yes. But from TLG‘s perspective, 5 years is enough of a gap for a remake. Sadly. I do hope the two unknown sets are more interesting than that. The only 2HY sets I’m currently looking forward to are Gringotts and the BoH, so these two better not be remakes of anything we‘ve already seen in the reboot
  4. Glad a lot of people seem to be happy, but this one just mystifies me. Why do so many people care about a musty old background fodder temple? And before anyone makes a ToD comment, the Indy temples actually have important, iconic, and fun action sequences that take place inside of them. The temple on Yavin might as well just have been a cave We shall see about that. TBOBF also featured some great characters like Krrsantan, Cad Bane, or Cobb Vanth, none of which have appeared in any sets.
  5. Those Ahsoka sets must be amazing then, because nothing we‘ve seen or heard of this year can hold a candle to the 2020, 21, or 22 2HY waves Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think any of them are outright bad. They mostly bore me
  6. That is indeed a hot take No way a wave filled with mechs, the physical manifestation of a meme, a boring temple, and other random mish-mash can beat the excellent TCW and Mando range we got back then! While saying 2023 is the worst LSW year ever is a bit hyperbolic, I have to admit it definitely ranks among my least favourites so far. Those Ahsoka sets better be good
  7. Agreed. While the show itself is aimed at young kids, the set does have potential! Probably the most interesting minifig selection we have all year In terms of brand-new characters, I mean. The Ahsoka sets will likely feature some desirable minifigs, but they‘re still just variants at the end of the day
  8. Personally, I like they way they‘ve been handling new waves since 2020, for the most part. I don‘t mind the scattered releases as it gives us more to discuss and more reveals to look forward to What I don‘t like is the imbalance between waves. In 2021 and 2022, the 2HY sets were so much more interesting than the 1HY stuff, it wasn‘t even funny. This year is decent overall, but nothing has REALLY managed to grab my attention so far. Hoping for the unknown ones to turn the tide
  9. While I don‘t like that Jabba‘s Palace is seemingly cancelled, it doesn‘t annoy me nowhere near as much as the ToD‘s cancellation did. Why? We haven‘t seen a picture of Jabba‘s Palace. It could still come out in 2024 or another year, for SW is eternal Another opportunity for Jabba to show up is in the foreseeable future. The 2012 versions of the characters are not outdated. It wouldn‘t have included new characters. There‘s a ton of other sets coming.
  10. Yeah, have to agree here. Obsessing over the set will only result in more pain
  11. A new hairpiece for Luke and a new faceprint for The Senate? Sign me up While both sets are pretty light on minifigs, they do look gorgeous
  12. Well, an unknown, unseen set getting cancelled is not really comparable to one with finalised pictures floating around Of course people are more upset when it was so close to releasing, only to be cancelled last minute. The set including 6 exclusive minifigs with a ton of new prints, recoloured pieces and even a new part didn‘t help either
  13. Jay isn't referring to the first, public statement shared by most LAN members, but a second, internal one, which allegedly unambiguously states that the set is cancelled. Feel free to believe him or not, but I don't see why he should lie about this. Nothing to gain here
  14. Not the most exciting selection in the universe, but I‘d take it
  15. Not sure how that would work. The 2024 range for all themes is being worked on as we speak (most likely some 2025 stuff too already), so I doubt the sales of the 3 Indy sets will have an impact on ... well, anything. And depending on the reasons behind the cancellation of 77014, good sales wouldn't change their minds in the first place. Btw, have you seen @Ashnflash's video about his ideas how to update the old ToD minifigs? Too bad the turban piece doesn't exist in black and the Wonder Woman hairpiece is not available in bright light yellow yet, otherwise we could easily kitbash good-looking modernised versions of these minifigs!
  16. Yikes. Well, looks like future King variants will look a bit different then.
  17. Agreed, except for the Mando sets, those are pretty cool. The remaining rumours however are just boring to me. They still have some potential, but to me, there‘s nothing exciting on the level of the last couple of 2HY waves on that list
  18. Jay said the info came straight from TLG, so yeah, it‘s cancelled.
  19. Price, piece count, which movie it‘s based on, the basic structure (it being enclosed), and one of the minifigs Not all that much, but also not nothing
  20. Hehe, good one Sure! Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling anyone what to think. Just pointing out how unusual a second wave would be, as much as I would love to see one.
  21. True, but them getting the license (which might have been part of the new Disney contract from the get-go) just for three nostalgic sets to accompany the new movie without any further plans is still the least convoluted explanation Every other option (more sets in 2024, a secret wave, etc.) requires mental gymnastics that put Olympic medal winners to shame. Besides, there is precedence for them ignoring a new movie from a franchise they have an active license for. Secrets of Dumbledore was the canary in the coal mine, and almost nodody seemed to care
  22. I see. Not impossible, but there hasn’t been a single case where they were able to keep an entire wave secret for so long. They don’t even manage to accomplish this for D2C sets these days! And even if they did, what’s the point of keeping the mere existence of sets a secret from retailers? Codenames didn’t suddenly stop working, after all Maybe there is a counterexample I’m forgetting, in which case, I’ll gladly be corrected
  23. I also want a new Rex minifig and minifig-compatible gunship, but for a different reason: so people can finally stop bringing them up Then again, the fandom will most likely find another clone commander and / or vehicle to latch onto and complain about endlessly
