  1. There were other themes that only got a single, small wave. Lightyear, The lncredibles II, and Toy Story 4 come to mind. Also, didn’t TLG sign a new type of licensing agreement last year in the form of a general Disney contract (including Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, etc.) instead of having individual ones as they did before? Indy must’ve been part of that too, in which case the “it’s too expensive of a license for just three sets” argument goes right out the window
  2. We‘ve seen weirder stuff. They got the PotC license back in 2017 just for a D2C set and two BrickHeadz, or the Stranger Things license for one D2C set, a BrickHeadz two-pack, and a keychain Which we‘re not gonna get. We‘re just stuck in limbo
  3. No. If they had any news, they would advertise it. The only topic they seem to be covering is the start of the season at LEGOLand. This particular version doesn‘t have enough screentime I‘m afraid. It‘s possible, but far from likely
  4. If they still came out, we would‘ve heard about them by now. After all, we already have information concerning sets scheduled for November! And I still haven‘t heard a compelling explanation for how a wave of DoD sets can be reconciled with the fact that TLG is absent from the list of licensees and that no retailers have any information about them whatsoever. All we have is the Promobricks post from last July, where they assumed that those four numbers exist and guessed those might be for DoD. The most simple explanation is that they planned only those four sets from the get-go to cash in on nostalgia. All other explanations require a ridiculous amount of mental gymnastics Sure, not releasing anything based on a new release and instead solely focussing on older entries in a franchise is unheard of, but that seems to be what‘s going on here.
  5. Either cancelled or never even planned to begin with. After all, the set numbers 77016-19 were just guesses. Probably the result of a game of telephone
  6. Am I the only one who‘s really pumped by the Batcave being based on Returns? You guys sure are funny. The DC theme is finally being restored to its former glory with multiple playsets and a location-based D2C set, and yet I see nothing but complaints We don‘t even know the layout of the set yet nor the full minifig selection! While I agree that a $450 set is kind of overkill, I would‘ve thought so about ANY Batcave. And don‘t tell me you would‘ve been happy with a character like Clayface or Mad Hatter being paywalled behind it
  7. This is excellent news!! Hope it covers more than just 89 and Returns, but even if it‘s just those two, there are plenty of options
  8. That leaked Penguin is based on Returns, isn‘t it??
  9. Also, there is a rumour floating around that Disney wants Lucasfilm to solely focus on Star Wars from now on, hence the cancellation of Willow. If that‘s true, then we‘ve definitely missed our last chance for more Indy sets Granted, I‘d rather DoD be the last film than having a pointless reboot, but still. Shame.
  10. Same. I will not forgive them for how badly they butchered this „revival“ with the cancellation of 77014, ignoring of 3/5 movies, and lack of new parts besides the hat/hair combo piece. Giving Sr the same shitty pith helmet as 15 years ago is just inexcusable. Comparing it with the effort they put into random throw-away licenses like Trolls, Minions (and presumably the upcoming Gabby‘s Dollhouse) makes this even more embarrassing. That said, I‘ll just move on. They effed it up, it sucks, but there‘s nothing we can do about it. Once I‘ve built the sets, I‘ll give my attention to other themes again.
  11. It‘s been cancelled. It’s easier said than done, but we should just forget that this set ever existed and move on.
  12. I just did, in my previous post. Lucky Bricks has a pre-order offer with 20% off. Another shop named Brickmo also sells them with a 19% discount: https://www.stonewars.de/angebote/lego-indiana-jones-vorbestellungen/
  13. https://www.promobricks.de/lucky-bricks-april-2023/159301/ Probably only in Germany
  14. Obviously not, we‘re not making this up The original account must‘ve deleted it.
  15. Indeed, as expected it looks much better from a different angle!
  16. The BrickHeadz 5-pack just leaked Wicket and R2 are my favourites
  17. No. He usually just reposts other people‘s scoops, has been banned from a leak subreddit, and has no track record of his own as far as I‘m aware. Probably just an educated guess on his part
  18. Flippin finally! Wonder what took them so long No idea who the minifig could be, but if the DC books are any indication, it‘s likely either a variant of a popular hero or a sidekick/successor. My top choices however go completely against that: Odin, Kaecilius, Hank Pym, Agatha, or US Agent would be my picks. It‘s not gonna be any of them, but let a man dream
  19. Some rando in a comments section of a YT video, I think. The most reliable of sources! Top men indeed
  20. Or whenever they use the term „leak“, but instead it‘s either baseless speculation or official reveals Guys, if a set is on s@h, it‘s not a leak Maybe the YT algorithm dictates that „leak“ is a more engaging term than „reveal“, but it‘s silly nonetheless. Speaking of reveal: no Mando reveal today, which means Promobricks were (obviously) correct, as always
  21. Ohhhh! Looking forward to it, especially if minifig info is included
  22. Exactly. I‘ll buy the three sets on April 1st, build them, happily put them on display, and never think about additional Indy sets ever again I‘ll just treat it like any other one-and-done licensed theme. It’s a real shame given all the potential, but I‘m grateful for what little we‘re getting.
  23. That‘s all we‘re gonna get, I‘m afraid. I highly doubt that TLG would ever issue another public statement addressing this set again as the first one was already pretty embarrassing for them. Time to move on
  24. Jay said this in the comment section below his article: „This came directly from LEGO. As you can imagine, this entire thing has been a nightmare behind the scenes. From LEGO’s perspective, it’s a little awkward to have to acknowledge a set that was never really confirmed or announced, hence the ambiguous corporate statements. I’m just here to provide a definitive update that this set isn’t launching. It’s a funny situation that we’re all in because of that one leak. If that hadn’t happened, this would be a complete nothing burger.“
