  1. They‘ve finally added more information about the Indy sets on the product page: https://www.lego.com/en-ch/themes/indiana-jones/about They finally acknowledge DoD, but also make it clear that these sets are meant to tie in with it. If you scroll down, there is even a small FAQ section specifically about DoD. BRUH
  2. We‘re getting Kang in CMF S2, so that‘s something
  3. Part One gets released next November
  4. I usually give new shows and movies the benefit of the doubt, but not this. The movies are near and dear to me and a blatant cashgrab like this is unacceptable. Especially when it potentially jeopardises the current HP theme. Heck, I have way more respect for the live-action Disney remakes. As soulless as they are, at least it‘s a different medium Sure, on the same day they stop making X-Wings and TIE Fighters
  5. Not really. Allegedly, they‘ll be revealed in early May. The only reason we saw them so early last year was due to the release of SoD Also, I don‘t think this is off-topic as it directly concerns future sets
  6. That‘d be pretty confusing for customers though. I doubt putting the new actors on the box is enough Granted, we‘ve never had a situation like this, but I cannot imagine putting sets from two versions of the same thing on shelves, especially when they end up using the same designs. It‘s gonna be one or the other. Or better yet, neither I got what I wanted out of this theme, so please let it die with dignity.
  7. Since this is a remake, I doubt sets based on both could co-exist. Sure, the Ghostbusters reboot set was on shelves along with the HQ from the original, but they looked distinct enough. This however wouldn‘t work. WB would probably force them to focus on the show instead of promoting the movies. In the best case, TLG just drop the license once they‘ve completed everything And if they don‘t, I‘ll simply boycot the sets.
  8. Yes, because then you don‘t have to fight an uphill battle. I can‘t think of a single remake of a beloved movie that was actually well-received, and none of them were as high-caliber as HP. It’s like remaking Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, or The Lord of the Rings. Dune doesn‘t count, because the original movie is very divisive, so much so that the director disowned it. Maybe The Magnificent Seven (2016)? But even then, the original was more than 50 years old and it was itself a remake of Seven Samurai. And it was just one movie, not seven. Or it‘s just sideplots that don‘t lead anywhere and were cut for good reasons. Pacing is crucial for adaptations to work. Just look at ROP. Not a single one of those cheap actors holds a candle to their LOTR counterparts. And yeah, they will definitely hire cheap actors as they want this rubbish to last ten years And it probably will last that long, as people will undoubtedly hatewatch it. Not me though. I have already given it way more attention than it deserves
  9. We’ve had some really cashgrabby remakes before, but this is by far the most worthless and unnecessary of them all. Even Robocop, Total Recall, and Ghostbusters at least tried to put a new spin on the story, which is not possible with an adaptation like this. I have more respect for the upcoming Eragon and Percy Jackson series since their respective movies are not exactly held in high regard, and they only managed to adapt the first instalment and first two respectively. Can‘t wait for the Twilight and Hunger Games remake series this will inevitably inspire. Streaming is just the worst. And I keep hearing „oh, they‘ll include everything from the books“. First off, not everybody cares about these books. I for one am strictly a fan of the movies only. Secondly, more isn‘t always better. A lot of this material is complete filler at best and monoric at worst. And finally, who guarantees that any of that will be included and if so, if it‘s well adapted? Also, no matter what they do, they have to compete with classic, beloved movies. Every tiny bit will be scrutinised and compared, and it simply stands no chance. You cannot compete with nostalgia. How can the cheap unknown TV actors they will hire compete with the likes of legends such as Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Richard Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane, etc? That said, from now on I will ignore this show and everything related to it. I just hope TLG does the same
  10. It‘s one of those repost accounts, and so far nobody else has commented on it, so my money‘s on it being fake. What a waste if it‘s true since we‘ve had all of these characters before, and most of them multiple times
  11. More of the same you mean I hope TLG is not as creatively bankrupt as those WB hacks and will finish the theme beforehand. Seriously, first the whole DCEU debacle, then the Batgirl desaster, the cancellation of so many shows, and now this poo. I lost all respect I ever had for WB. Good thing TLG isn‘t affiliated with them any more for future LEGO movies.
  12. Good one Wonder what happened to that early rumour… Then again, it was Fulcrum who brought it up, and we know his track record
  13. Maybe the plan back in the day was always to release four waves? If there were sets planned for 2010 that then got cancelled, I’m sure we would’ve heard about them at some point
  14. This episode really delivered, one of my favourites so far of the entire show! Some aspects DEFINITELY need the LEGO treatment, especially
  15. Good one I’m so glad we’re getting Gringotts this year, which is one of the bigger gaps to fill
  16. It's being adapted as a two-parter Gah, I hope they reveal the new sets soon to wash the stench of the awful news out of my mouth
  17. Are you being sarcastic or not? Because if you aren't, boy, do I have news for you
  18. Actually, as much as I hate the plot of CC, a movie adaptation of that would’ve been preferable. They could’ve made anything, a Hogwarts Legacy show, something set in Medieval times, a Marauder film/show, but they went for the single worst option possible. What next? Remakes of the LoTR movies?
  19. @Whovastron: Every shameless soulless cashgrab remake of a beloved franchise has been utterly horrible so far, so why should this be any different? Or name one good remake, besides Dune. I’ll wait. Also, can’t wait for that slavery subplot in GoF I hope TLG will give us all of the missing stuff from the movies before this travesty unfolds.
  20. The second they make sets based on that trash, I quit.
  21. Huh. I fully expected this to be a minidoll set, so that‘s a surprise! Looks pretty cool. Also, interesting that they brought the old mermaid tail back!
  22. Pretty exciting trailer! Definitely hoping for more minifigs than just the main three, but you never know with this theme Goose would be cool to have too, especially with the tentacles. The build they included in that SDCC set was pretty neat, but a „proper“ version is overdue. Also nice to see other Accusers and Ronan’s type of hammer return! Not that any of that ever stood a chance of being included in our sole set, but it‘s still cool
  23. Just pre-ordered the four regular retail sets First time I pre-ordered something without having even seen it The website neither has images nor descriptions by the way, just names and prices
  24. That Rita Skeeter minifig is fantastic Maybe I‘ve been a bit too harsh on the June wave before. Sure, there‘s nothing as exciting as 12 Grimmauld Place or the MoM on the list apart from the BoH, but so far we can cross three pretty important characters off our list of missing characters this year And we already got two excellent playsets in March! Depending on what Gringotts is like (and how good the minifig selection of the two other playsets turns out), I can see 2023 rising in my ranking after all
  25. @Legofan2001: You do realise that's a spoiler, right?
