Strange as in „too recent to have remakes already“? Or remaking only selected elements of previous sets (like a Flying Ford Anglia on its own)? Or remaking the gimmick sets as regular playsets? Those would all be strange

According to mtdbricks, one of the sets is an „Icons“ set (as in an addition to the Hogwarts Icons set, not as part of the Icons theme). No further details, but this further supports the idea that the $100 set is the Sorting Hat from the survey leak

It is expensive, but not that expensive Personally, I think it‘s cool we‘re getting a GWP at all, which is pretty extraordinary for Marvel. The set is nothing special, sure, but you don‘t look a gift horse in the mouth, after all.

Too bad Aquaman 2 won‘t get sets, because that toy that just leaked would make for a cool-looking LEGO model It‘s a submarine shaped like a hammerhead shark

Remakes of those two plus PS Hagrid‘s Hut and the final challenge are requested / wishlisted pretty often though, so I assume the actual list features mostly unwanted remakes At least I‘m pretty sure @Brick Clicker‘s reaction to the list would have been more positive if it included remakes people actually care about

Exactly. We should consider ourselves lucky that we only had a handful of remakes of post-reboot sets in 6 years Compared to other themes *cough* galaxy far far away *cough* or even the pre-2018 iterations of HP, the low number of them is actually close to a miracle! HP must be like TLG‘s favourite child Also, as mentioned before, for me personally, Gringotts and the Death Eater were the last things missing that I absolutely needed from the theme. Everything else they release in the future, I condider a bonus

We should be expecting a lot of remakes then, I suppose Not surprised to be honest, with price points this low the sets have to be pretty basic. Still hoping for some cool minifigs, animals, and accessories at least, if the set choices themselves end up being boring

I was wondering the same thing. We usually got the HP set descriptions shortly after the SW ones, but this year, nothing, rien, nichts, nada. They're either saving it for something, there were no pictures or names included in the catalogue, or one of the insiders got busted Thanks! It's really nice to finally see all of the details Solid Brix posted his review as well, and he's showing multiple different ways to connect Gringotts to DA:

Indeed! Plus TboBF only had one set initially! I forgot that the N-1 came out in June. Thus, Ahsoka stands out even more So yeah, Ahsoka is the clear winner here. Debut waves with more than 4-5 sets are only reserved for new movies, which is okay in my book. We will get more stuff, we just need to be patient

Since when is the number of sets directly indicative of an IP’s popularity? Sure, a niche property won’t get 20 sets at once, but just because a theme gets one set more than another doesn’t mean it’s more in demand Also, you’re comparing a theme that likely won’t continue to a subtheme that will very likely do. And Ahsoka getting three sets at launch is more than every other show had in their respective first “waves”! You know you have too many sets when you spend the entire evening scanning almost 700 instruction booklets The SW ones alone took me hours to get through! Worth it? I think so, as I took the opportunity to also re-sort my instruction booklets, two porgs with one stone

Not sure how reliable mtdbricks is, but they claim that the $10 Spidey set includes Electro (the female version) and the $20 set features Arnim Zola Weird context for the first Zola figure, but I’ll take it Of course this somewhat increases the likelihood for the Thing to show up in the largest set

I think that depends on which store you’re going to and how popular HP is in your area Maybe you can ask employees if people stood in line for the previous 4 D2C sets, especially DA?

Prepare to be disappointed then, because there is no way they don‘t include at least one of them in that set I mean, how likely is an X-Men set without Wolverine?

Marvel has been doing pretty well in the mook and villain departments, until recently that is But yeah, I‘m not complaining, I know Marvel has it A LOT worse than HP theme, in many ways. Just an observation

Not sure how to feel about droid minifigs. For Huyang, it makes sense as he‘s similar enough to a protocol droid. Dark Troopers and NED-B also worked well in minifig form, given how humanoid they are. HK droids however are quite slender and more akin to battle droids, and would thus work much better with specialised pieces, in my opinion Yeah, add HK droids to the list of stuff I wanna see in 2024, along with Imperial Commandos, Praetorian Guards, and Gideon. Hope they can deliver!

It‘s not, the whip is a standard extra part It wasn‘t before, but they changed what parts qualify for extras and which don‘t a few years back. The jewel piece for instance used to not have an extra copy in each set, but now it does I wouldn‘t read too deeply into the extra hat „issue“. I doubt they‘d get rid of excess stock by giving the parts away like that.

I wouldn‘t be happy with it not being compatible with the D2C sets, but better than nothing. A playset will do A third DA D2C can be ruled out I think, as the original DA will reach its EOL well before that. Eh, not enough
