  1. Kinda funny how divided opinions on this year’s AC are. People either seem to think it’s one of the best or one of the worst (especially commenters on brickset, but those guys hate almost anything that isn’t Classic Space or Castle anyway) To me, it’s easily the best, and not just because of Babu friggin Frik. Themed and location-based ACs are my favourites (like the HP ones often are), and it’s nice to see SW giving that concept a shot! I don’t mind the microbuilds, but it’s refreshing to see a SW one devoid of them for once As for modular location sets: I don’t dislike the concept, but with SW, I don’t see the benefit of spreading things out like that. I’d rather have a complete Jabba’s Palace for instance rather than parts of it spread across multiple sets. It works for HP, sure, but Hogwarts is THE location there so it makes sense to have so many sets. Each SW location is only one of many, and I wouldn’t want a single location to hog multiple set slots It worked in 2003, but SW is so much larger now!
  2. If we’re lucky, they’ll show up again in a Battle at the Department of Mysteries set at some point! ^^ I hope they’ll also reuse the Death Eater’s head from the Gringotts set at some point. That one is pretty tricky to get a second copy of
  3. My guess is the following: A Hogwarts expansion (Clock Tower or Astronomy Tower) Chamber of Secrets. I have a feeling this one could come without a castle section on top this time, like the 2002 set. Flourish & Blotts or a small-scale Gringotts as the next DA expansion A new book nook A buildable creature (Basilisk, Aragog, Gryndilow, or Niffler) A buildable object (e.g., a life-size wand) A GoF set (first or third task) As for what I would want: I’m running out of ideas here There are some minor characters here and there that I would like to have as minifigs (Scrimgeour, Fletcher, the Carrows, the Bloody Baron, and Bem come to mind), but other than that, they’ve now done everything I’ve ever asked for. I’m at a point where I wouldn’t be sad about the theme retiring Not gonna happen of course!
  4. Somehow, I managed to miss the three set numbers that popped up on brickmerge at some point, 72421 to 23, until I came across them today while browsing brickset. All three sets are scheduled for June. Are there any rumours what theme these belong to? Can’t find anything in the usual places Has to be a licensed theme, considering how close the numbers are to the Pokémon sets (721XX) while still being far enough away to be a separate theme. Fingers crossed it’s an exciting new license!
  5. That's not just a deal, it's a steal! Must be an internal error, but legally you should be in the clear. Similarly, I got a discount of 25% on the 2006 Star Destroyer because the Swiss price on s@h was set too low by accident, just on the day the set came out They fixed it shortly afterwards, but the prices shown on webshops are legally binding in most places, at least during checkout.
  6. If that's the reasoning, wouldn't it be less confusing if they kept Radcliffe et al on the box to clearly indicate which version the sets are based on?
  7. It’s not a new print, instead it’s a clever reuse of the Fat Friar’s faceprint ^^ Magazines will most likely never have exclusive prints.
  8. … I haven’t seen the movie the meme is referencing What trap have I stepped into?!
  9. Neither is HERESY We will have our glorious TIE Avenger by any means necessary
  10. Nahhh. Netflix and TLG also have a good relationship, so I don’t see how the merger will affect anything.
  11. I won’t complain too much since we’re getting two long-requested minifigs in January and hopefully a bunch more with the M&G and Ahsoka S2 sets, but a wave with 8 sets and not a single new character between them (as far as we know) is quite impressive
  12. If Smart Greedo doesn’t say Maclunky, we riot.
  13. Agreed. A later release means they can work with actual footage rather than concept art ^^
  14. Most likely August again, unfortunately. If they came out before June, we would already have set numbers and a release date
  15. Good catch, it definitely looks like that print And Lupin’s is a new one! This one might be my new favourite of his ^^
  16. To steal from Turtle’s playbook (don’t ask if you’re not familiar with his shenanigans ): TLG hate Michael Gambon Seriously though, how come we have 30 Million Harris variants despite him only being in a fourth of the movies, and only two (!) Gambledores in the current iteration of the theme? I get that the first two movies are overrepresented in general, but there are plenty of sets where they easily could’ve inserted Gambledore. I’m glad we have those two minifigs at least, but it’s still pretty ridiculous.
  17. Neither could I, but the happy faceprint kinda resembles Cho Chang’s expression I realised, so maybe that’s what threw me off
  18. An alleged leaked image of the Zelda minifig can be found in the usual place ^^ If it’s real, that’s a bloody amazing minifig!
  19. Full reveal of the Creel House! Eleven‘s faceprint is a reuse after all, but I can‘t pinpoint which one it is exactly. Also, there‘s another BrickHeadz 4-pack with Eleven, a Demogorgon, Max, and Holly!
  20. Kinda strange the trans-pink version of the creature is not in any of the sets. Maybe it‘s from a cancelled set? Or perhaps that was an even earlier leak than we thought, since I can‘t spot the specific Ninjago plant monster from the same leak either
  21. Lex‘s faceprint for Hopper and Jyn‘s for Joyce eurghhhh Granted, it‘s a GWP and that new rubber chicken print is fun, but come on, these two prints just plain suck!
  22. Why thank you for that new nightmare fuel!
  23. Yeah, just a regular shark. Booooooooo. Also, no new pirate hat piece! I do like the recolours of the existing ones though.
