Lego One Piece rumors and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Battlinpanther's topic in LEGO Licensed
The new trailer shows that even more members of Baroque Works than expected will appear in S2, with more already confirmed for S3. I wonder how many of them will make it into the upcoming sets! The Unluckies probably stand next to no chance, as much as I’d like to have them -
Star Trek - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Yperio_Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
I‘m not much of a Trekkie myself, but I also think ST isn‘t as popular of a franchise as it used to be, despite having multiple shows on air ^^ There‘s a reason they picked TNG over a newer show or TOS. That said, there‘s still plenty of set potential, but like LOTR, they will most likely focus on 18+ sets. I definitely want minifigs of the original crew at least! We‘ll see how well the Gollum film will do, but I‘d say the LOTR movies are also timeless classics in their own right. That‘s what the sets are based on, after all -

Is that really the case though? Of course that depends on what you consider to be specialised, but in my experience, there are fewer highly-specialised pieces than in the early 2000s, for instance. New slope and wedge pieces are incredibly versatile, sometimes by accident, like the slope piece initially developed for the Porsche which then worked perfectly for Toothless‘ ears Outside of minifigs, I‘d say you rarely find new pieces that work only for one specific purpose. Especially in the context of buildable figures and other 18+ sets, new parts are an exception rather than the norm. -
Lego Minecraft 2023, leaks, rumors and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Lemerbrix's topic in LEGO Licensed
We have some additional set names: 21592 Chicken Rider Desert Attack (428 pcs) 21593 Surviving the First Night (301 pcs) 21597 The Ghast Station (754 pcs) I suppose the names are translated (from French, if it’s the same source as the other recent leaks), since 21592 should be a Chicken Jockey, no? Unless they purposefully want to avoid the meme 21593 sounds like a remake of the 2014 set, but 21597 definitely piqued my interest. Fingers crossed it comes with a Happy Ghast, or better yet, the entire lifecycle from died Ghast, Ghastling, Happy Ghast, to harnessed Happy Ghast! -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think a mistranslation or other misunderstanding is to blame here, as minifigs being included never made sense when the sets are either large-scale display models or smart-brick-enhanced buildable figures Someone must’ve thought the Pokémon Center came with minifigs, not realising it was a microscale Insiders bonus set -
Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
BrickBob Studpants replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have another one: I never really liked either colour and was happy to see them be permanently replaced by trans-bright green and trans-orange Every time I saw them in a set after the new colours were introduced, I just wished they were their non-neon counterparts instead. Wish granted! Even as a kid I didn’t like them because I was a sucker for transparent parts (still am) and didn’t consider them to be truly transparent. Also, trans-neon green in particular ruined green lightsabers for the longest time and I will never forgive them for the trans-neon green crystal in that Power Miners set that should’ve had a trans-yellow one!! -

Yeah, that’s in the eye of the beholder Opinions are definitely divided, but personally I think they nailed the designs and I can’t wait to build them! -

BrickBob Studpants replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
That’s an awesome detail to include! I always appreciate customisability options ^^ Sure, the scale is arbitrary, just as it is with Star Wars UCS sets, but the starter trio wouldn’t look anywhere near as impressive at a lower piece count -

Could be a coincidence, but the first-ever pre-orderable GWP being a Pokémon one is suspicious They’ve probably seen the horrendous videos recorded at Costco and decided not to subject LEGO Store employees to this madness -

And we have a picture if the Pikachu & Pokéball set! Pikachu looks a bit chipmunky, but it’s a cute model and I like how dynamic the pose is! -

That’s an awesome GWP, but I seriously hope the TCG scalpers don’t catch wind of it. The poor LEGO Store employees have no idea what madness awaits them otherwise -

The list hasn’t surfaced yet, but I suppose it’ll drop soon since we’ve seen the 2HY lists for most themes now. Animal Crossing for instance is also missing ^^ -

I think they‘ll want to keep some of the minifigs exclusive to the Baratie, so Mihawk is pretty unlikely. Fingers crossed for Smoker and Tashigi! -

Not much traffic in this thread, but still Two of the 2HY sets are 21594 Skeleton and 21595 Ender Dragon ^^ Another Ender Dragon already? Meh. The skeleton is probably a statue in scale with last year‘s Creeper -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Not that I’m defending them, but how is it a swindle? People get what they pay for, no? If someone pays $100 for a minifig they could get in a currently available set, that’s kinda their problem Sets geared towards kids between 2012 and 2014 when new movies actively came out didn’t do super well, while sets geared towards adults a decade later without any new movies being around (ignoring RoP and the upcoming HfG) do really well. They could still release smaller sets later on, but there’s an easy conclusion to draw from the above -

Finally some set names: 75644 Giants of Elbaf (shouldn’t it be spelled Elbaph?) ($70) 75643 Tony Tony Chopper ($70) 75646 Garp’s ship ($170) Interesting they went for Garp’s ship specifically. Makes sense though, with the iconic dog figurehead ^^ Hopefully it still comes with some S2 minifigs! Glad to see Dorry and Brogy getting their own set! -
