LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Same! The 5 Ahsoka sets are among the strongest for any show or spin-off movie so far Call me easy to please, but if we get Rotta, Sigourney Weaver‘s character, a missing Mandoverse character like Carson Teva, and Captain Enoch this year, I‘ll already be a happy camper ^^ -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

Pictures of Sauron‘s helmet are out there! Looks awesome! -
Indeed. I think one of the issues is that POTC Icons sets, if they continue, are prone to be ships, which could lead to some self-cannibalism since D2C sets have longer lifespans ^^ A bi-yearly schedule might make more sense financially, even though I definitely would‘ve preferred a Flying Dutchman set this year already

I distinctly remember that too. Fun times Kinda funny how there are now AFOLs that never even knew the old shades of grey and brown from their childhoods. Feel old yet? -

I wonder if we even get a regular August wave this year. After all, the March wave is much larger than usual with 8 rather than ~3 sets, and the May and June waves are also rather substantial thanks to M&G, plus there‘s that weird 14+ set in July And if Ahsoka S2 gets a similar release schedules as S1, there might be a September wave again. -
LEGO Pokémon 2026 - Rumours & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Licensed
According to @a_clay_brick, some of the Pokémon sets should be revealed this month, which makes sense considering the first wave‘s release date. However, he also implies there could be minifigs How would that work? Do the three 18+ sets come with random trainers? -

How so? You may prefer yellow minifigs for aesthetic reasons or nostalgia, but that doesn‘t make minifigs with realistic skintones useless Unless you have a giant LEGO city on display where a mix of minifigs would look weird, of course. Also, I haven‘t heard the term „fleshie“ in a while. After more than 20 years, they‘ve been normalised to a degree it‘s weird for me to think back to the times before they existed I still remember the heated discussions back in the day. Speaking of which: Time for a (potentially) unpopular opinion of mine! I despise the old greys and brown because they look as if they came pre-yellowed. Their post-2003 counterparts are so much better in my eyes -

I assume you looked it up on Brickset? If so, is there a way to factor in duplicates? According to Brickset, I have 1406 SW minifigs, but when looking at smaller themes, I think that‘s „only“ the unique minifigs, ignoring the duplicates. -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

That’s fairly realistic, sadly. Though at this point, a Batman set that comes with any character beside Batsy himself can already be considered a win -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The same source claims the D2C set is a Helicarrier, and the Batman set is one of the other three. No reliable leaker has commented on the matter as far as I‘m aware, so take it with a grain of salt -
Unpopular Opinions about LEGO

Well, yeah. Licensed sets have a built-in fanbase, whereas in-house themes either need a huge marketing push or have to stand out enough on shelves to compete, so it's an uphill battle by default. At least for action themes like Hidden Side, Monkie Kid, and Dreamzzz. Themes like City or Friends are recognisable because of how universal their concepts are There are no rumours yet, but fingers crossed for a new in-house theme to replace Dreamzzz next summer! (unless there'll be another wave after all) -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly. People immediately interpreted that as "ZOMG another modular DC set is coming!!" when it may just as well be a different Marvel D2C (like the rumoured Helicarrier) or a Batmobile -
Lego One Piece rumors and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Battlinpanther's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hope all five arcs get represented in the wave, but that's gonna be tricky when Drum Island already has two out of the six sets dedicated to it Minifig-wise, the only ones that are guaranteed to appear are Chopper and Wapol, but I hope for as many as possible! The first wave did a great job with that, honoring the missing pirate minifigs on the wanted posters at least. Fingers crossed they'll do it again! -

My apologies, I wasn't sure how long ago you've joined our noble cause Or maybe it's another M&G set after all! I wouldn't mind that As long as it's a playset with something new, it's all good in my book! -

Another one successfully brainwashed to fight for our glorious cause! ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US Can‘t wait for 75458 to be revealed as a boring remake or another Clone set Or a buildable figure, if we‘re particularly unlucky. -

Kinda crazy we still don‘t have a remake of the Vanishing Cabinet, considering the 2010-11 sets included two of them I hope they again give us two of them at some point! -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

I think a non-modular Marvel D2C set is way more likely than a DC set I didn‘t really believe the Helicarrier rumour that surfaced yesterday, but it sounds a lot more plausible now! -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
BrickBob Studpants replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
There won‘t be another Simpsons set next year according to @TandNbricks. 2027 would make more sense anyway, with the new movie coming out -
Seriously though, while I don't wanna set myself or anyone else up for disappointment, what else could @TandNbricks be referring to? I'm not aware of any other building block company on the brink of losing a license to a competitor and I doubt he meant that as a general prediction. This reads as a pretty clear hint to me

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm afraid this gives credence to the rumour of a new Helicarrier, rather than it being a DC modular -
@TandNbricks states in his IG story that a licensee having to remove their products by a deadline, showing Bluebrixx and their Star Trek license as an example, will happen again. And we already know that Area X has to remove all their SpongeBob sets from shelves in 3 days. Put this together and yeahhhhh… Could it actually be happening?!
-
I assumed that KPDH must be the unknown theme releasing in June, but upon reflection that may actually not be the case given the age ranges. 72421 and 22 are both 12+ and 72423 is an 18+ set. Not impossible, but 12+ minidoll sets aren’t exactly common, and the 18+ set would surely have minifigs Looks like our new mystery theme remains a mystery for the time being!

Just add laser cannons, slap a certain character’s logo on there, and we’re good to go Wouldn’t be the first time. -

BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
To each their own, but I think calling the sets based on those two seasons “slop” is unfair. The first Ahsoka wave is still one of the best ones in years and both follow-up sets were great, and as far Mando S3 is concerned, we got our first official Order 66 set, an awesome new TIE Interceptor, a bunch of great minifigs based on the finale, and more! I can’t think of a badly designed set (or even a mediocre one) between them, and neither outstayed their welcome in my opinion ^^ Besides, blaming Mando and Ahsoka for a lack of Andor sets makes little sense to me. They’re simply vastly more toyetic than Andor, and if those shows didn’t exist, their set slots likely would’ve gone to more OT and Clone sets, not more Andor stuff
