DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
We don’t and never will, as TLG don’t reveal sales figures for individual themes, let alone specific sets. Anecdotal evidence exists but is highly unreliable. It’s possible we might see another one at some point, but I guess 2026 will be Marvel’s turn again -

Not likely. We still know very little about the March wave and most of the May and June sets are based on M&G, and details about sets based on new movies tend to leak later -

A new Batman villain would be a bold prediction at this point. Predicting a year with more Soup sets than Batman ones which even 2013 didn’t have isn’t just bold, it earns you a free stay inside a luxurious padded cell On a serious note, while you’re right that Superman did pretty well (alongside its merch), it’s still too early to tell whether TLG will ever be on board with the DCU. Supergirl and Clayface will surely face uphill battles and Superman’s success was nowhere near the level of other franchises that were skipped but did get sets based on later instalments, so they might still be hesitant in 2027. -

I know we’re all jonkling here, but you have to be a member of the High Council of Jonklers to believe we’ll ever get a DC set again that isn’t based on Batman Hell, not even movies actually featuring Man are safe bets after The Flash (which, granted, had more to do with Ezra Miller’s whacky criminal high jinks, but still)! The Soup mech this year must’ve been an accident. -

Thank you, I almost choked on my breakfast This is very unlikely to be a new character, let alone a non-Avenger. -

There’s gonna be a new Avenger-centric DK book next year with an exclusive minifig! The blurb at the bottom about “unlocking the mysteries of the Marvel Studios multiverse” implies it could be based on the MCU, but who knows The Ultron shown on the preliminary cover isn’t the AoU version, for instance. Probably a new Iron Man or Cap -

Yeah, I’m aware of the absurd price on PAB, but it will surely lead to a red fox, hopefully appearing in much cheaper sets!- 5,858 replies

Awesome set! Though I still have no clue how the connection between the saucer section and the rest is supposed to be stable! -

Yes, but this was originally supposed to be a separate set, in contrast to the A-Wing vs TIE Advanced that was released instead ^^ The cancelled version had different colours in places and featured a ladder (probably as part of one of those small assistance vehicles) -

Someone on Brick Tap unearthed more cancelled sets based on set inventories using a comparison tool on Bricklink. This includes the following: An A-Wing in 2016 A Death Star Cannon in 2018/9 A Yoda vs Dooku set for the 20th anniversary in 2019 A TCW version of the Bad Batch shuttle with Republic Crosshair in 2020 UCS Landspeeder in 2021 Of course the Yoda vs Dooku set just had to be the only one to get canned for good, while all the others were actually released in a different form Personally, I’m more bummed about the shuttle though! Sure, it made a lot more sense to base it on TBB rather than TCW, but Republic Crosshair would’ve been so much cooler! -

It’s Batmanised Jonkler tho, not Jonklerised Batman The theme is called Batman, so everything has to become Batman. The locations. The vehicles. The villains. The sidekicks. Innocent civilians. Nothing will be safe. Run. -

I thought we already did! Batman is his own best friend, the villainous colourful pieces are all hidden inside the Batmobiles, and the Batmobiles are locations too since the Batmen can easily live inside of them -
Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

I’d say there’s a good chance they’ll continue with this version of Hogwarts until 2027 at least. Sure, they’ve been working in 3-year cycles so far, but there’s no reason to assume it has to stay that way. Those patterns aren’t set in stone. Just like we assumed they’d continue with DH sets in 2021 after the previous 3 years were each focussing on two movies, and ended up with a reboot of sorts instead, and only a year after that we started to get DH sets after all If the show does get sets (which I still doubt), it might actually work in our favour. The show is set to release at some point in 2027, probably later than sooner, meaning they’d have to have at least one or even two movie waves beforehand if the show premieres in late autumn for instance. Why introduce a new system that gets supplanted less than a year later? Of course they could introduce a new system in 2027 with movie sets first, and then switch to show sets within the same system since the minifigs will likely be the only difference. Doesn’t seem particularly likely to me though. -

This increases our minifig variety next year from five Batmen… to six Not sure whether to laugh or cry about the very real possibility that all of next year’s DC minifigs are Batmen. This was supposed to be a joke, not a prophecy! -

I’m kinda indifferent about the game Could be fun, but only having seven or so playable characters is a huge bummer. Sure, seven might still be a lot in comparison to other games, but for a LEGO game, that is laughably low. I’d also rather they stuck with each film as it was, instead of the strange amalgamation we ended up with -

A picture of the Doc Ock vs Spidey mech is out! Not much to write home about, but I do like the new faceprint they have for Doc Ock and the Spidey mech is inspired by Iron Spider, which is something I guessed ^^ -
