Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, not fully trusting this info unless a reliable source corroborates it. Killian would be cool to have if he’s more accurate than his 2013 precursor -
Have you ever found Lego pieces outdoors?
BrickBob Studpants replied to SpacePolice89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've found two pieces in the middle of the street, a 2x2 yellow Duplo brick in good condition and a badly scratched Minecraft sword (not on the same day and in different locations) I took both of them home and cleaned them thoroughly -

Okay, I should’ve specified I meant in the way some people expected, i.e., a dedicated wave of playsets TPM was indeed treated well if you include 18+ sets, the GWP, and Brickheadz. -

Exactly. The lull in new content next year should give them plenty of space to catch up with some shows they neglected or outright skipped so far I wouldn’t expect too many ROTS sets though. It’s been WELL established now that the movies’ anniversaries don’t matter. At all. S1 had one single set. I don’t see any reason for them to release more than a veeeeery small handful for S2, if any at all I doubt S2 will be more appealing to younger audiences, even with K2 finally showing up -

Two spooky Ideas sets getting launched in two consecutive years is not enough to establish a pattern, especially with Ideas being the wildcard it is. That said, I wouldn’t mind a Halloween counterpart to the Winter Village subtheme, but I doubt these two sets are the start of that -
Well, he got put in the corner for the unsavoury stuff he said (and likely refused to change or even insulted the mods, resulting in his subsequent ban). All the other nonsense he said that people now make fun of were not bannable offenses, so I don't see an issue with having a bit of fun here Of course it shouldn't be pushed too far

He's making fun of a former member who haunted the DC thread mostly, spouting nonsense (and some unsavoury stuff) before getting booted recently. Now he's the butt of many jokes -

I'm starting to believe you're not actually possessed by the t̵̪́ͅu̶̳̝̍r̶͇͐ͅt̴̟̺͗ĺ̵͔͒ẹ̶̅. The real one would never post in the Marvel thread. YOU FRAUDULENT FRAUD!! Maybe not, but TLG had at least enough faith in the IP to release 3 CMF figures last year, a remake of one of the allegedly worst-selling Marvel sets ever, and a huge D2C set -

I completely forgot they only revealed DA one day prior to its release Crazy. Fingers crossed they don’t repeat that! -
Comics are pretty niche, all things considered. Way more people watch movies than ever read a single page of a comic, so this development is hardly surprising Comic-based (or generic) sets sell because the movies popularise the characters. Without them, few people would care. Just look at Iron Man, he was a C-lister at best before the MCU started

I think that's already been ruled out, hasn't it? Exactly, it's not time to get worried yet. We barely know anything about most of the March sets except for a small handful of Marvel and Star Wars sets, none of which even have numbers yet, as you correctly point out. -

This set performing well is a foregone conclusion. TNBC is a merchandise juggernaut, not only around Halloween or Xmas. I experienced it first-hand last year when I cosplayed as Jack at the MCM in both London and Birmingham. Never before was I asked for that many pictures, and people of all ages recognised the character, even 4-5 year olds! -

They won’t touch that with a dirty rusty shovel, even ignoring that the sets are 95-99% based on the movies Something tells me a set depicting a magical school employing slaves that are happy to be slaves wouldn’t go over so well. The filmmakers were wise to cut that particular subplot And the be whole Winky thing was just needlessly convoluted in the book, so her being cut was a good idea as well in my opinion. -

Good point. Since the movie‘s scheduled for May, any potential sets should be released in March I‘m still hopeful though! -

I really like Ghost’s new helmet from the leaked trailer, hopefully she’ll be included in a Thunderbolts* set next year! Not too sure about Taskmaster’s new gear, but it’s something US Agent’s new costume would also make for a great minifig. Fingers crossed they don’t decide to skip the movie altogether though! -

With the TNBC Ideas set revealed, I believe the Burrow and the GWP are the final sets scheduled for September that have yet to be officially revealed Can’t be that long before we get some juicy high-res pictures -

Love the set! I knew the moon would be included in the set proper since it can be seen in the “blueprint” on the back, but I’m still not sure how they’ve done it. Seems to be made of cardboard? And yeah, it’s definitely Dumbledore’s hairpiece on Sally. Weird. -
I can try! Behold the new me, legosponge!! *clearing throat* ”Guys!! We all need to buy the Wicked sets so LEGO can stop hating DC! They have the Mad Hatter in disguise, green tower is obviously villain hideout in Gotham and Elphaba is clearly new Batman villain. Also, I will not watch Wicked because [insert rant about wokeness].” … Never mind, I can’t do it. I’m not jonkling mad enough to pull it off

Giant Man is already included in the CW airport battle set, so it’d be redundant to have him in both sets (especially since he’s brickbuilt), and Iron Patriot is rumoured to be included in the upcoming Hall of Armours set Agreed about the repetitiveness. It feels like we’re getting the same figures over and over again, but at least they’re updated versions -

While I would’ve preferred new suits, updated versions of these two will be cool to get I guess the third figure is Tony (either in a suit or a shirt), so fingers crossed for a new suit as the fourth figure! -

Figure-wise, an Asgard set definitely has the most potential. I mean, 80% of the missing Infinity Saga characters people frequently bring up are Thor-related Even on my list, 8/11 are! (Odin, Sif, the Warriors Three, Heimdall, Malekith, and Kurse, the others being Kaecilius, Kraglin, and Ego). The build would be a bit trickier, given how large the place is. Maybe some forced-perspective trickery could help? Or making it microscale to begin with -

Oh, I didn’t realise what kind of ship Zeb was piloting Interesting. Yeah, seems likely that one of the sets will be a new Razorcrest then. I wonder what happens to Din’s N-1 then! Also, more Anzellans! Maybe this is finally our chance Skipping Babu Frik is still one of the biggest injustices in the 25 years of this theme in my opinion, closely followed by the cancelled bounty hunter chase remake
