  1. Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I'm currently working on sorting all my new LEGO and It's basically
  2. Hey @Offroadcreat1ons, thanks, I'll try that. P.S. I've not got tons (actually lbs ) of lego technic, but no wheels that are larer than those one with the smooth tread, and small rims.
  3. Hi, I'm trying to make an offroading truck with full suspension, but I only have 3 springs (2 9.5L soft, and 1 6.5L Normal), and am trying to figure out how to use them to make my vehicle full suspension, requirements. One axle must steer, and the other drive. If it uses universal joints, it can only use 4L ones ( I don't have an 3L ones ) Can't use frames. Thanks in advance. -XtremeBuilder
  4. really nice truck @Offroadcreat1ons. I just got a large tub completely full of gears, pin joiners, axles, etc, and am gonna make my own truck (I'm going to be stuck with tiny wheels though ) but I have some springs now!
  5. With modern motors yes, but with micro motors http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78696...
  6. Exactly (if you have any 36 tooth would also look nice)!
  7. No I mean were you have the pulley pieces as hub on the wheels.
  8. That's too bad. :( I'm budget limited, but have access to a whole boatload of stuff.
  9. That must really suck, well you better check your local equivalent of craigslist, maybe some In search of ads on some face buy + sell +trade group.
  10. Could you fit a black 20 tooth gear for a hub on each of the axles? I tried it on my latest MOC, and it looks quite nice in my humble opinion.
  11. Get an arocs instead O' the porsche then (It has PF). :P
  12. Great looking truck. One slightly off topic question: Is it just me or are the colors in the photos a bit off?
  13. Thanks, I only have one NXT, I made the european semi truck a month or so ago, It's long been taken apart, I made the american semi truck a few days ago, though It's already in pieces. :)
  14. OK, well the American Semi truck is a very recent MOC, but I made the European one quite awhile ago, and just never got around to uploading the pics, so.. ....here they are. European Semi truck specs: Front wheel rack and pinion steering rear 4WD only uses 2 motors, so you could build a trailer and add a/some motorized function(s) Pictures Here is the overall model Here are some pics of the front, and back. And some pics of it without the studded assemblies hiding the NXT brick. And that is it, now for the American style semi truck, and... ... the trailer with grabber Specs of American Semi truck, and trailer (with grabber) [Truck] Rear 2WD (It's on not the back axle, but the axle before it). [Truck] Opening hood. [Truck] Ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance. [Trailer] Motorized grabbing arm controlled by button hidden on either side of the trailer. [Trailer] NXT Brick right, and left buttons control steering for the truck. Now the pictures, truck first. Front view of the truck View of the hood opened revealing the steering motor. Close up on the grille. Back view of the truck (revealing that the NXT brick is in the trailer, to keep the truck smaller so I would have more pieces. And now on to the trailer. Birds eye view. View from the front of the trailer And that it, I'm working on a tower crane now, if anyone wants to geve suggestions one what vehicle to build next I'm fine with I welcome that.
  15. I know I'm a bit off topic, but...I'm getting the 24 Hours race car from bricklink as a parts pack for my meager technic collection, but till then I'm going to try to make a tractor MOC, with PTO, and some attachments.
  16. Just shows that liecensing is quite expensive (I'm Canadian and LEGO technic prices - even used, is too high).
  17. Did this MOC can abandonded? As it looks/looked like something pretty cool.
  18. Thanks LXF. I use windows, linux, and os x, so I should find something.
  19. Use bricklink to find the set, and then click on "Set inventory" and find it their.
  20. Well, as the title says this is a MOC "Treek", I've called it a treek as the features are that of a truck, but the styling reminiscent of a jeep. Anyway, on to the good stuff. Features: 2WD power by one NXT motor with the driving axle having a 1:3 gear ratio. Front wheel dependent suspension. Front wheel steering via a NXT motor. Manually operated front winch. Opening front compartment (I use it store somelinkages that hook onto the hook of the winch to pull objects). 2 Wheeled back dumping trailer powered by the last NXT motor.* So here is a link to the high-res picture, and the low-res pictures below. *I'm sure you noticed that I used the NXT brick to build the dumping bed, I did so because f limited space in the frame of the "Treek" One other note is that, it might seem there is a long time between my MOC's, but it takes time to upload pictures that are 40MB each, and I make many MOCs, but most I don't find "big enough" to put up here, I actually have one finished, just waiting to be photographed.
  21. I'm hoping to get this set for a parts pack, as the main model is meh, but it has pneumatics, LAs, and PF, so . Not anymore, Merceds-Benz Arocs 42043 FTW!
  22. Why are there no friction variants of the half pin? This has bugged me as the blue ones should have friction, but don't. (call function = rant over);
  23. Funny you posting this, as I'm doing suspension in my next MOC.
  24. I've finished the log skidder, and have put fresh images in the original post. P. S. Jim, could you please take "[WIP]" out of the title, and put in "[MOC]" instead please?
