Thanks Grover, I am glad you like the scene. Thanks you SK, a standard ballista seemed not fearsome enough so doubling the arms was really the only thing I could do Thanks alot Legofin, I was hoping the landscape would portray nocty enough. Well you know what they say: "The bigger the better"

Im loving this rough nocturny look you've got going here. The wagon is brilliant and my favourite detail would have to be the painter -
Sweet man, great to see another entry for the spire. I love the landscaping and the seige weapon is wicked. The use of chains is great

A little teaser for something in the future: A statue forgotten -
Standing lonely in the sea, a sight forgotten sailors once yearned to see. Seeming destined to be lost forever. Until now... A little teaser for a future build. Not sure when it will be built though, either soon or closer to the end of the year And I will do some more builds leading up to it. The Base style was inspired by the talented Jaaxaap. It was a fun little build to through together and I liked experimenting with the texture. C&C wanted and Hope you enjoy.

Book II Challenge V Cat. B: Katoren Siege Workshop
The Maestro replied to LittleJohn's topic in Guilds of Historica
The architecture as usual, is spot on, the archs and domes look awesome I love the cluttered look inside the workshop, and the dark brown/black goes really nicely with the landscape colours and the tan. The suttle use of the seed part is also very affective- 15 replies

Thanks Faladrin, i'm glad this helped Thanks Titus The dead trees are a favourite of mine too, and I would find facing this beast in battle would be very menacing indeed. Thanks Dankyee, The rock was a fun challenge and I also enjoyed making the ballista. Thanks En_zoo I agree, the tree is my favourite part too. Thanks Narbilu Yeah I agree, I wasn't quite happy with the dragon head in the end but it still serves its purpose. I do love creating action scenes, so thanks for noting

Nice little viggnette, and it includes a lot of detail for its size. The figs are awesome, I really like the bottle

Again, that snoted landscape is brilliant, and the depth is better. Unique take on a farm, I really like it

Nice one man, that snoted landscape is great The use of cloth is also very effective.

**Book II Challenge V Official Announcment**
The Maestro replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
My entry for Category B: Preparing to besiege -
In the forest that ringed a Black Spire castle, Lord Maestro's men busied them selves constructing siege weapons. Prepared in modules back in Avalonia, soaring siege towers and devastating were slowly being pieced together (almost like Lego ). Today Lord Maestro surveyed a new contraption. Adapted from an ordinary Ballista , The Maestro's architects swore it was twice as powerful. To show their allegiance was to Avalonia they had fitted it with a Dragon head, the emblem of our their guild. A close up Looking down the barrel of the beast Entry to challenge V Category B, this was an interesting build. I have only done something like this once, and you can probably see the resemblance I hope the Dragon head looks ok to you guys, because im not completely satisfied with it. I think the landscape turned out good though, that red stuff is meant to be moss/grass. Should have Cat D up soon, C&C needed and hope you enjoy

**Book II Challenge V Official Announcment**
The Maestro replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
I had the same problem, so I used it to my advantage. I just tried to make the biggest, badist (in a good way), deadliest generic seige weapon out there
