Excellent entry, the colours work well and the clean look contrast well with the gritty look of the land. I'm loving that hay, the brightness really adds something to the scene. What do you mean he looks unfriendly? Just look at that face, surely he could never tell a lie

Book II Challenge V Prelude: Wyvern Welp Swamp
The Maestro replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
I don't know what im more excited about, the the story or this build. It has a unique beauty to it in a nocturnian way. But to be so detailed and maintan such a large build is what really blows my mind. -
Thanks Legofin, the tree was a bit of a experiment and as it did grow behing the wall it is a bit thin. Thanks mate. The reason its so small was the lack of peices, so im lucky it turned out so well (pun intendid) I would have died to get a few brown flexitubes for this but unfortuantly I didn't have any so... oh well maybe next time I was all out of 1x1 rounds but im going to do a bulk order soon so that will take care of that. Really appreciate the advice. Thanks Grover. Thanks man and I guess I was going for a Dr Suees approach with the tree Yeah the well is a little small for the bucket . The wall texture was just improving what I have been doing recently and the two boys fighting were the first things I built Thanks Blufiji Thanks Slegengr, I was a bit worried about the trees colour but that was the only colour I had so... Thanks for the advice though.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
The Maestro replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Man I would love to do this unfortunately im going away soon for the rest of this month and most of next month so prepare for a period of inactivity. I would still like to do something once I get back, maybe it could be involve the retaking of eolas, which I will be resuming late January. -
Yeah, We New Zealanders can never seem to build straight Thanks so much, really means a lot having an inspiration like you like this , after all half the techniques here are yours... I would love to come up north to one of the shows up their but i'm afraid im restricted to chch and maybe next year Dunedin Thanks man, I hadn't seen loads of people try that techniques for a tower so I thought that would really steal the show too, but once when I started on the landscape I saw the potential of it and I started putting loads of effort into it, so even im not sure which part is my favorite

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
The Maestro replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Another free build and im happy to say its back in Avalonia Oh you lucky man... -
From city to city the arms master wanders, selling his wares to whoever has the coin. It is well known that the master forges a weapon like no other. Strong and reliant, a sword would last you through an age. So when Aimsithe passes your cottage be sure to purchase at least a knife, for you won't regret it. CCC XIV - Traveling salesman. Ugh I though this would be an original idea but Jaka Kupina bet me to it D: Oh well. Just a simple build that took me way to long but I tried out a new base style which I was pleased with. My next build is almost finished and should be done this week( if im not to lazy that is :P) Hope you enjoy. Some parts of the edit are terrible - sorry :P

Thanks, the rocks were really hard to achieve so i'm glad you liked them. Thanks! Yeah, at one point half the base was in the air because it was so right side heavy thankfully it didn't fall over. Thanks man. Thanks for the advice, and this thing would smash in the slightest breeze Thanks Titus, even though they took me only 10 min i'm glad you liked them Well, it wasn't easy, and i'd say it was a bit of a fluke I managed to pull it off Wow, thanks mate, I was a little perplexed too when I first stood back and looked at my work. But once you understand all the techniques its relatively simple. I will try add some detail shots but I didn't really plan on them so they will be a bit rough. And i'm sure there must be a little magic involved, the Tudor area is about the same size as the tower after all My photography skills do need improving and that tree was there for another idea which i abandoned. I guess I just forgot to remove it. I am definitely not discouraged by good advice. if anything it pushes me along more than any compliment Thanks man, I think I have a couple shots and I will try get them up. When I first had this idea it wasn't the tower, it was the landscape. Everything else was a afterthought Thanks SK, that's big coming from you. Even the most iron hearted Mitgardians can be temped by that cursed drow gold (not that im siding with them, that is).

A new moc set in your frigid land: Fimbulvatr Keep -
Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

A new moc set in Mitgardia is finally here, I promise I will be back in Avalonia with my next build Fimbulvatr Keep -
You have out done yourself here, everything is just amazing and i love all the little details. The rock work is my favorite part.
-
The snow wall is a great idea and perfectly executed, but the sled really puts the cherry on the top
-
That snot floor is excellent, and your architecture style screams Kaliphin. The detail is immense
-
The dragon is so realistic looking but its the landscape that truly blew me away. The rock work is just so natural and that green works perfectly

The trees..., The landscaping..., The Architecture..., All of it is just so awesome although you might want to break up the olive with some other greens, but that is just my opinion

Fantastic landscaping and the elvish architecture is blowing my mind. The colours are just to good...

AoM Phase II - Mitgardian Archery Practice
The Maestro replied to Garmadon's topic in Guilds of Historica
As I said on flickr the colors are great and base are great. yet I agree with every one about the tree, I think the leaves just remind me of palm trees too much. Other than that a great moc and I can't wait for more build like this.- 13 replies

Guilds of Historica New Member Guide

Thanks en_zoo, very helpful. The update seemed to muddle everything up for me but now im set -
High up in the Mitgardian peaks a small village thrives on the freezing environment. To protect themselves from raiders they built a small castle to keep (pun intended but still not funny :P) watch. The castles position makes it a hard place to take and easy to defend. No siege could last in this frigid environment. This weather does not bother the inhabitants of the village as cold is all they will ever know. So life carried on in the isolated village of Fimbůlvatr, that is until the drow missionary came. Not soon after did the Nocturnus resistance have a new enemy to fear... CCC XIV - Ice castle (or a castle built in the snow) It's here at last, after a build time that took way to long and three photo shoots I am finally ready to post one of my best creations yet. The round tower was loads of fun to achieve and the rock work was incredibly difficult to get right. The landscape itself probably took up half the build time. The Tudor work was challenging but it came out alright imo. For some reason I have been putting off building this and I now have a large collection of spaceships in my room I didn't edit it because when I did it looked rather awkward so i thought it better to just leave it as it is. Also my first entry for the CCC with more on the way. I know this will be up against massive and amazing entries (cough cough SK) but I had the idea and knew I had to build it. Hope you enjoy :D Sorry for lack of commenting, its becoming a habit

Nocturnus Minichallenge III: Pie Contest!
The Maestro replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
"The nocturnus resistance and the forces of the black spire are forced to set aside their differences and unite against a new more powerful faction: pielandia. Filled with the most gruesom savage pies they are swiftly conquering nocturnus in a matter days" -
This is just too good to be true. The detail leaves me speechless and your style in this area is unrivaled (IMO). There is too much detail to highlight in a comment Definitely my favorite build from you and is one of my favorite Kaliphin builds ever
