  1. This build really shows your personal style but I can also see the influences of other builders. The Tudor work is amazing and not using the normal white is on all of them is very effective. The wooden house is probably my favorite. The detail is awesome and the various scenes going on are a great addition. Can't wait for your next moc
  2. Thanks Leonardo, the trees were hard to get right but they came out looking great Thanks MassEditor Although im not sure on the landscaping the house and tree designs are probably my favorite part of the build.
  3. Later this week... (or next week depending on if I want to rebuild a section or not )
  4. Have you checked with the guild leaders or the map maker(s) (Are there map makers?). Thats the only way I could think of finding them. On a totally different topic lugbulk has come up and im not sure whether to use it or not. And I don't know how it works. Some advice would be much welcomed. Thanks .
  5. hey guys, could anyone tell me how to edit a signature. I seem to have forgotten how . Sorry for being a little inactive, I have a massive moc that I have been spending all my time on lately. It should be up next week.
  6. A bit late too the part but here is my first moc in the Lego community, and was not posted on eurobricks. It is only about 6-7 months old but i've still improved drastically in my opinion. Druids perch by Jed cameron, on Flickr And here is my first for the guilds (some may remember this) I would also say this is one of my worst but I thought it was pretty good for my time. Avalonian watchtower by Jed cameron, on Flickr (pro editing skills) And what 7 months of advice and looking at others builds equals: Ol' Colby's Cottage by Jed cameron, on Flickr
  7. Wicked build LegoFin, Gives off the real barbaric feel. I was about to use almost the exact same wall design in my upcoming moc Great minds think alike. awesome build, this story is getting really interesting and cannot wait for the next segment .
  8. To upload images from my flickr to Eurobricks I use the BBC code. To find it you need to the image you want and click on it. Right below the image to your right you will find 4 Icons. click on the arrow which is pointing right. Once you click on that there will be 4 options along the top of the box: share, embed, email and BBC code. Click on the BBC option and the images BBC code should come up. Then it is the simple matter of copying the code and pasting where you want the image and the eurobricks page. It will first appear as text but once you post the page it should be a image. Then edit the post and delete the text and links that appear besides the image. I tried using my phone when I first started on eurobricks but it will not work, you have to use a computer. Hope this was in anyway helpful, it took me a while to get the hang of it too. Can't wait to see your mocs
  9. Thanks guys, Even though it was a tough build it was amazing to have on display. Yep, smaller plates I think would do it. Unfortunately I have a very small supply of small green plates and I will definitely need to bulk order some soon. Yeah, the rock work was not strong in this moc, I think If I had of used smaller pieces it would have looked better. My next moc will make up for that though... As I said with Henjin, I believe smaller plates are the answer. I guess a a couple of plates could of helped too. Thanks Blufiji, I will try to blend better in my next grassy moc. It would look much better instead of the smaller patches that I used. pff, taters are for hobbits, carrots are for men I've been using GIMP but I haven't got the hang of it yet so I will try the "free select tool" next time. I unfortunately have a shortage of brown slopes and had to improvise. Your trees were a massive inspiration though. It seems like everyone agrees on one thing, more small green plates are need. Better get onto that brick link order... I've been trying to cut back a little with the grass stalks (and not succeeding). I ended up using all of them so that is why there wasn't more. I might try friend flowers next time though. It is a rather simple process once you see how its done. The secret for me is ball joints, the rest is trial and error.
  10. My new moc (and one of my best yet in my opinion) is up. Ol' Colby's Cottage Haven't been too active recently but im busy building a whole load of mocs i've got lined up.
  11. Passed down from father to son, carrot farming ran in Colby's blood. When he was a boy he used to eat them every day. Stewed, boiled and even mashed, it didn't matter how ya cooked em, Colby would eat it. When he had inherited his fathers cottage he had been overjoyed. It sat on the edge of the woods beside a small stream. The perfect environment for growing carrots. The house could do with a bit of a fix up, but as long as there were carrots, Colby was happy. So here it is. I would have posted it earlier but as this is my first time editing, it took me a while to get sorted. A couple tips on how to improve my editing would be welcomed. Over all I think I nailed the build, with the rock work being the only thing that annoys me. I love the leans, the Tudor work and stone work. All were inspired by DC and LD. The weather vane (yes, that's a weather vane ) was a nod to Legonardo's moc "house of chaos" which helped me build this, it's meant to be a chicken but I don't have any chickens so I used a brick built one. The trees were fun to try out but the roof was not as rickety as I would have liked it but eh, its OK. I am also going to be putting my saga to the side and focus on some different builds over the next weeks. C&C needed and hope you enjoy.
  12. Thanks Blufiji. The angles were hard but I think I acheived what I was aiming for
  13. Too many details!!!! The amount of little things you have fit in this moc is astounding. The only things I would change slightly is the street texture as Henjin said, and give the stone walls some more texture. I thinks all it needs is maybe some 1x1 studs like I did in brofendurs kitchen. Apart frome those tiny nit picks this is a amazing moc. Can't wait for that winter castle
  14. This puts me in the mood to build Awesome story and build, I love the colours.
  15. Thanks LJ, Im just releived it came together, yet alone looked good. At least when something breaks i try make it 10 times stronger when I rebuild it, so its almost a good thing it fell down when it wasn't complete. Thanks, the rock work is defiently my best to date. A brick border would have looked way better but as you said, I was kind of low on bricks oh well, next time I will try. It was fun to take a break from all the nocty and avalonian build I was doing so mitgardia seemed the perfect place
  16. Thanks MassEditor, Im happy that you think I captured that crowd feel as thats exactly the mood I was going for. Glad your not tired of them yet, postimg a very exciting moc soon amd then im going to get the saga out of the way.
  17. Thanks Mypromaxos, the bridge was fun to work out but the rocks were a pain in the neck to get right Thanks Garmadon, although I originally meant the black water to be a very deep abbyss similar to the dragons pit in Brofendurs Kitchen, I like your idea just as much Otherwise im glad you liked it
  18. Welcome fish sticks to not the best guild (Avalonia). This looks to be a very interesting story and I can't wait to see where its going
  19. First minichallanges, now this Great collection of builds, glad those minichallenge winning builds were put to use. But what will come next? The suspence is too much. The Maestro might just have to march into nocturnus to find out himself...
  20. Thanks Puval, the story was really fun to write and im glad you think all the elements work together I really wanted to give it the real dwarven feel as usually I just build more human structures. The dragon was loads of fun to create, tryin to get it to look natural and all.
  21. Im glad that you have started building for the guilds, and a pretty awesome first impression for some of us new(ish) guild members . The dragon is amazingly natural, and the landscape is great Although the stonework on top is not common it looks really nice, and is a change from the standard style. Can't wait for your next builds
  22. This makes me want to order bulk dk green and dk tan. The landscape is defiently my favourite part, looks so natural and the change from dk green to dk tan looks so incredibly natural. The stands amd play features are also pretty amazing
  23. Well we all know mitgardians make the best pies (besides Avalonians). Alot of your work really inspired me do this build and the wooden sections were mostly your design. Thanks for being inspiring Haha yeah, It defiently is more complex than it looks, and the rock work is easily my best so far. Thanks Legofin, the dragon head was a peice of last minute advice which I incoperated. And the pie was lots of fun to experiment with.
  24. I'll order 100 of those pumpkin soilders, but do they come in cabbage? Great story, very funny. Amazing pumpkin soilder, great use of parts
  25. Yeah, at last I had the courage to write a story As every one knows dwarves are the master of pie making Thanks Henjin, this stone work was very basic as I had to build alot of it, I agree with you on the crane, probbaly should have been a little stronger. Thanks Titus, I some how achieved the exact look I wanted with the rock and snow work. The dragon was really fun to make as well. It is defiently my best build to date but that may soon change... Thanks ZCerberus, glad you like it. I love those windows aswell and as I said the rockwork is my best to date. Now I think about it a vegetariam dragon does seem rather strange, I can just imagine it grazing in a paddock
