ahhhhh, this has to be my favourite castle build in a while, and not only because of the superb texturing but the trees are also incredible. I think you definitely won it for us, and it is definitely my favourite Also I think as other people mentioned everything kinda blends together, which is a fault mine also suffers from. I guess these are builds that look better in real life I really enjoyed your advise and having you in our team, hope to see you next year again.

The South Gate of Lleidr Castle
The Maestro replied to Henjin_Quilones's topic in Guilds of Historica
Even though you had very limited time, you still managed to pull something amazing out of the hat. The texturing is great and so is the landscaping and little details I love the angling of the walls and it was a blast having you on our team- 13 replies

wow that dome is incredible! But it is really the plants that brink this to life and the flowers really make it pop. The towers are excellent and of course, brilliant cheese use

Haha, or maybe you could all take a holiday to New Zealand In all seriousness though, I would love to head to North America or really any other big show in the world in the next few years. I am hoping to go to one while I am on a exchange to Germany which should happen sometime in the closeish future

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
The Maestro replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
And to complete the trio here is my addition to the winning team: Also for the Summer Joust my contribution to the other team I was lucky enough to be a part of: And another freebuild will be up in the next day or so -
This is the south gate of Lleidr Castle, a ruined fortress of central Avalonia, nestled in the eaves of a forest that has slowly grown over it. A band of outlaws has made it their abode, calling themselves the Merry Men of Lleidr. No one knows the history of the castle, as all records of it have vanished, and the bandits themselves do not care. They have repaired certain parts of the castle just enough to serve as living quarters and storehouses. They did not do an especially good job of repair, though; if they had been capable of an honest day's work at a building trade, after all, they would not have become bandits. A build for the Summer Joust 2017, Castle Collaboration category. My teammates, and fellow Merry Men of Lleidr, are @Henjin_Quilones (with his build The South Gate of Lleidr) and @ZlatanXVIGustaf (and his build(my favourite of the team) The Western Wall of Lleidr) . It was a lot of fun to make and I was surprised how large I could make the stone sections. The build may be a bit grey in places and I wish I did have more brick to make somethings (eg texturing) better but overall I am very pleased with it and I loved working within a team of other great builders. It was also amazing that we all agreed to do a castle that was right up my alley . Oh yea and the edit is pretty bad, I still haven't got the hang of it Hope you enjoy and C&C invited

Thanks kai Thanks alot garmadon, I think red and dk green looks great too Thank you Thank you Gunman Thanks Titus, it was a pleasure. Haha thanks you ME, not all Avalonia is bright and frilly, infact nocturnas is not the only dark stormy place Yea, I tried to use some blue but it looked just too cartoony. Maybe dk blue would have worked? I had just received a large amount of it so I was glad to get a chance to use it! Thank you Thanks you Blufiji, I was suprised how well the landscaping came out as well as the water. Yes that would have been perfect! Next time then. Thank you Oh, I like being shortend down to TM, it has a nice feel Thanks so much HQ, and I did love the fact we all showed differend weather. I am flattered that you thought to borrow from me, but then again I did kind of set the standard Thank you! Yes, it seems like a daunting task yet I also completly forgot so I guess its just lucky it turned out well.

As always, brilliant work. It may not be the greatist, and I feel a second tower on top would improve it. However still very cool and I love the landscaping.
-
Really cool texturing and goodness thats a load of turbans! The greenary really adds to it aswell. Cannot wait to see more
-

As I have already said, I love it. The rocks are great, all the buildings are excellent And of course the detail is overwhelming.

Love the teeth and awesome detail! The wall looks great too, great texturing Also wow you have a heap planks

TÃre Keep is one of the most valuable strongholds of Avalonia. Though it has never been occupied, it's real advantage is the lighthouse: Avalonian ships are ensured they will not get lost the Great Western Ocean. My second entry for the SJ castle collab. My team mates are @Henjin_Quilones and @TitusV and it was great working with them. I like it, it looks good but the Tudor work ruins it unfortunately. Make sure you check out the other teams entry, which will all be on the guilds soon. Hope you enjoy and C&C needed.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
The Maestro replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Finally! I can't wait to see some builds Interesting sig fig, almost everyone goes for some form of royalty themselves so its nice to see a different approach. I have mind to change my sig fig to a similar position to you in book III. @Legofin2012 You must have spent too much time in the snow! Up Avalonia! -
This is a great SJ immersive entry, the houses are fantastic and the light blues really bring it to life. There are some awesome little scenes as well and I love the mountains.
-
Great work LJ, you are really mastering Kaliphin! The clean with contrast well with the landscape and as always the other colors choices compliment the moc further Good job
-
An empty lake... you have me intrigued I agree with all said so far, especially adding a minifig. Still I really like this and think you did well, the landscaping looks pretty natural too
-
Nice, I agree with Titus, the tower has to be my favorite part too, the wooden is great and the skull is even better Great foliage as well.

The Exetrius Saga (15): Refreshment at the lavoir
The Maestro replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Awesome vig Exetrius, and the story makes me very curious. I like how the photos never reveal the masters face Anyway awesome detail and great kali atmosphere. -
As everyone else said, great vig! The road is ingenious and once again I love the snotted base For texture maybe add one or two grey 1x1 studs in the light tan part, just to give it a bit of wear. But other than that great!
