  1. Beautiful scene. Those orange roofs really pop out well. The temple's green roof feels dim in comparison. Talking about the temple, nice composition on the walls, the place looks quite tranquil. My favorite parts must be the zigzag pattern on the sawmill's roof and the little pond just north of the fishing village. By the way, how did you achieve that tumbleweed look for the village huts? It looks like you used *alot* of flex ziplines (27965), but how you attached them (and to what) can't be seen on the pictures.
  2. You know nothing, Don. 😁 As SP89 already said, the southern coast area is still temperate. You get more snow in the winter throughout early spring compared to us though. And of course its darker in winter.
  3. Sorry, but . Though I admit I've downloaded the instructions to study the design (mostly for how the aft castle was made), and someday may make my own version of it.
  4. Ah, now I understand what you meant with locking into place with clips. I thought the 'limbs' of the craft simply held into place because of the rigidity of the joints.
  5. The 'hanging sailor' from the bridge must be my favourite display.
  6. Very reminiscent of a Lowlands castle. I like the bailey, especially the top 'wooden' part and the horse statue below it. The hanging banners on the smaller tower, the color scheme of the house, and the defensive entrance layout are a good touch.
  7. looks like you succeeded on all accounts, Danth. This color scheme ... what shall we call it? Bleyzure? ... works really well. Functions and greebling looks fine. The driver/pilot sits in a comfortable position to steer the craft. And is that a 3x4 transparent red panel on the back of the cockpit? Maybe if the bottom part of that transparent panel was covered by a curved slope or something? But perhaps there's no room for that in 'plane mode. Perhaps the thing that distracts me the most of the model's overall look are those black stripes on the danger stripe tiles. But that's just me. Nice work.
  8. I hadn't commented here yet? Smooth build, fits wel with the landscape. Infact, I'd say the pod is even beautiful. Not words normally associated with Blacktron of whatever kind or type.
  9. Cool. Have you tried them on?
  10. Looks pretty neath. Especially the 'dark alley / gatehouse' effect when closed.
  11. That's a very smooth build. I like how you have an odd width of the carriage, makes the overall dimensions feel just right.

There were diffictult choices to be made. Congrats to all participants for their efforts.
  13. That's a hefty ship for the amount of pieces necessary to build it. It looks nicely rounded. There's a couple good uses of elements one normally doesn't see in scifi builds, like the curved window frames for the exploratory ships. My favourites among your design choices must be the effort of putting engine details in the housing, the guns/transmitters on the cockpit's sides, and the propulsion units on the back of the exploratory vessels.
  14. I'm getting mixed up with all these color name differences used betwedn the LEGO Group and Bricklink. Is 'bright green' the same shade of green used for the Space Mech LEGO Ideas set from a decade ago?
  15. Heh. The "falcon" on top of the tower, ready to manipulate the buttons of the control panel is nice. My favourite must be the angled thrusters on the shuttle. It looks like it means business, ready to lift off to whatever task is required.
  16. Except for the guns, everything looks so... complicated. I can't even imagine how it all sticks together, this is a very intricate build.
  17. You definitely made the cut with the bulldozer and scoutship. The gang is pretty flamboyant as well.
  18. Ye be annoyed to have ye chests drained.
  19. I'd be callin' this iconic. The framing with the cabin walls makes it look claustrophobic, but the setup is actually quite wide. Who's the poor fella on the floor? A landlubber officer? The former Master of the ship?
  20. Thanks for sharing! Changing out the white parts (to yellow for instance) goes a long way to make the design in line with Blacktron I.
  21. Those pop-up 'eyes' in the fuselage, they're hilarious! Nice touch there.
  22. Hi MontyMatte. I've purchased the plans of the tower in the meantime, and sofar I'm impressed with it. I like the modularity as of how one can incorporate their own wall designs if they want. The pillar support structure of the design nicely allows that. Waiting for the arrival of an order of 1x2 door slide plates now to finish the ground floor, and, continue to the next level with that interesting staircase.
  23. Nice concept. The base has some good nooks and attachments, and is very much in the classic space style. The only thing I'm missing is a hint of the 'extreme environments', whether it be the surface features, or alien lifeforms around the base.
  24. I like the way you did the. hull bow section. A bit less convinced on the method used on the midsection, but making the vessel wider is definitely a good thing for a merchant ship. The stern (especially the cabin) is superb. No frills, just a reliable design that gets its purpose done. Again, good thing for a merchant vessel.
  25. The... picture doesn't show?
