    Except for a number of as yet rare elements like the landing pads, half-circle tiles, engine elements, and the Classic Space tile, I have build the 10497-b version completely from bricks at home. And since the printed elements of 10497 are now available too in Pick A Brick, I don't see a reason anymore to purchase a second copy of the set.

    I'd say the highlights are the back of the smithy, the Chief's longhouse, and the cave underneath the watchtower. The bridge is a bit tricky, but definitely fits the aesthetics. And the 6x6 roof plates on the watchtower don't snap completely on the hinge structure. I removed the 4 cone bricks underneath it to have them fit as they should.

    Looks perfect for a short lunar hop from the habitation dome to the manufacturing cave/tunnel... Or is it a manufacturing dome and habitat tunnel on the Moon? I always forget... The one thing I regret on this little craft are those openings around the canopy. For the rest: perfect.

    You know what would be funny? Majisto's Workshop as a tack-on to 10305. And instead of Majisto (he's included with the castle anyway), a dragon knight like in the original set.

    *applause* A traditional "arrr" might be out of place. Looks like none of the winning sets were focused on pirates themselves, but rather on Islanders or Imperials. Maybe something the LEGO Group should keep in mind whenever a new round of sets in the theme sees the light.

    Just wondering, do you plan to show this MOC on some event(s) the next year or so in the Benelux? Would love to see it for real.

    To me it felt more like he's going for a swim unaware of the skeleton shark underneath the boat. Probably just the gleamy eye and glistening teeth on the shark that gives me this impression.

    It is beautifully made, and with a lot of functionality. Although I have my doubts about those floating elevator platforms. ;)

    Ah, retailers will have this set from the start too? Good to know. Thought I might wait a bit to see if an interesting GWP comes up.

    That's quite the special build. Deceptive lighting in the first picture. For a moment I thought you used flesh-colored bricks for the top layer.

    Nice-looking set. Will definitely go on my Wanted list. The Chief's House is a little gem, the ore-cave under the tower a welcome view of the more mundane side of Viking life. I can already tell the tomboy miner/smith will be my favorite character in this set. Since it appears it will be quite easy to expand the set, a dock module (boathouse with a pier or something) will be inevitable. One could dock JonassKramm's excellent Karve on it.

    Grand effort there. Are your custom parts handmade, or 3D printed? Or do they come from a third party seller, and you paint them up (splendidly I may add)?

    You have your work cut out for sure. That access bridge to the main tower does really draw the eye. And seen from a defensive view is a good idea too. Very exposed so defenders in the tower can have easy targets on invaders using the bridge.
