Thank you very much for the information, nesquik and 1974! This is good and bad news both at the same time: I really like to hear that there'll be a new Christmas train since I regrettably missed the one from several years ago! But that it should only be four studs wide is really too bad! So you won't be able to use it as a real train put on PF rails and you won't even be aible to let it drive by adding PF stuff to it. You only could use this train like some small train on the road for tourists to drive around - but for Xmas that really doesn't fit imo. Plus I really don't need all that kitsch with santa, elves and reindeers - better would be to get more real minifigs and more additional stuff or a bigger building with more interior! From TLG's point of view, 4 studs wide is even much less profitable since these costumers who normally would buy PF stuff and rails in addition to the train won't do so - so less money for TLG. Plus disappointed (train) fans. So well, let's see! If it was really only four studs wide and then maybe even the station only a train stop and no real building, it's highly likely that I'll pass this one like I did with the Santa's Workshop set. Thank you all very much for the links, info and pics! Here a short comment about the summer sets. I do only care about the amusement park sets, so I won't somment on others: Rollercoaster The flagship set is a huge disappointment! The top spin is a bad joke. And the rollercoaster is even more to laugh about. The gondolas look like if they were put with toothpicks to the rest of the ferris wheel. Instead of having three bad designed fairground rides, TLG better should have concentrated on one ride or maximum two! The only two nice contents are the popcorn cart and the new quarter melon piece. I'll try to get these things seperately via Ebay since I for sure won't buy the whole set! Spaceride The ticket booth looks bad. But the ride is nice - only a bit too much of purple. I only wonder how the passengers can get into the spaceships since they are much too high to climb in. The ice-cream cart is a nice addtion. Hot Dog Stand This one looks superb! Only some stairs to the top would have looked better and more realistic than the ladder. Arcade This is my favourite set ot the whole subtheme! It has three different parts which all look brilliant and very realistic! I'm already excited how the hot dog stand and the arcade will look next to the Creator Fairground Mixxer and the Creator Ferris Wheel! Thank you all very much for the links, info and pics! Here some short comments about the summer sets: Volcano Research: This theme is not as bad as I feared, but nevertheless it could have been done better. Nearly all sets are senseless and boring since they all include the same a mineral drill and a massively big vehicle although that is all already included in the flagship set. The minifigs are very well designed. The only pity is that the most interesting figure - namely the great suited guy - comes only in the biggest set. The Base is really ok. The volcano is "bigger" than I thought and the vehicles are - apart from that the truck has nearly no interior for its huge size - nice. And the starter set includes a nice quad. Airport: The flagship set - mainly the passenger terminal building with only one floor big and nearly no interior - is really a shame! Apart from that the whole theme is really great! The VIP plane with limousine and "follow me"-vehicle looks really cool! And that a cargo plane could in this small size looks very decent I would never have thought before! The starter set with the postal heli is cute! And - although I would have prefered a really closed hangar and the two red planes to have not both the same colors - the Airshow is a great set! Civilian Life: A new gas station was since long overdue! And the wait was it really worth! This is next to the one in 10184 the best one TLG has released so far! That the red car misses car doors and that the seperate promo sign is only one-sided are the only two things I've to criticize. Apart from that the set is simply perfect! I especially like the small dining erea and the shop display and the new, small road sweeper! As well as the gas station a City minifigure collection pack was all the time overdue! And this one is absolutely stunning with twelve completely new and amazing torsos, some new faces, a decent wheelchair and a lovely baby minifigure! The only thing to criticize is that the hot dog cart has no bbq. I'm really looking forward to the two civilian sets and the smaller airport sets! Klaus-Dieter

Hello everybody! Here I'm again with a new review, the Creator 31050 Corner Deli: First of all, the front and the back of the box: There are five bags with bricks and one bag with three instructions: The three instructions are for three building alternatives: But I only built up and therefore only review the first alternative - namely the one shown on the front of the box. So here are the two minifigures - a male store keeper and a girl as customer: And now some shots which show the building from its four sides and its top when closed: The interior is - especially on the first floor - very minimalistic: But I especially like the gas stove: Here you can see the small terrace: You can add it at to two locations at the buidling - depending on whether you display the house as a regular house ... ... or as a corner house - which imo looks much more attractive: To come to an end, here an overview over the complete set: More images can be found at http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=561596 (when folder is public). I personally like the set, but there are a lot of things to critizice. So for me this set is only average and I give it a 4 out of 6 points. Con: - set name is unfitting since it's a snack bar and not a deli - boring architecture on the first floor - weird looking chair on the second floor - terrace does ony have one chair at the table (if there are always only that less customers, I fear the deli has to close) - ladder from the first to the second floor (either stairs or better nothing!) - nearly no interior on the first floor Pro: - good minifigure selection - antenna and bird are lovely addtitions - gas stove is really nice - fits very well with regular City sets - perfect addtion to the last two Creator house row of houses - corner style - brilliant architecture of the second floor and roof Despite my critics I hope that TLG is going on releasing minimum one of these houses in the Creator line every year since these fit the gap in the City theme with more ancient styled and even two floors big civilian buildings! Although the pics aren't of the best quality, I hope you liked my review! Now vote, too! A review of the Heartlake Cupcake Café will follow - but at the earliest at the next weekend. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the review of the sea hut, just2good, and for the news, BlockLogo and Fritzy! The Holiday Destinations sets sound very promising. For 70 Euros I'm curious about what'll be included - esp. which buildings. Klaus-Dieter

Hello everybody! Firstly a good new year! And here's my review of the 41118 Heartlake Supermarket: At the first the front of the set's box: The back already shows which different food we get in this set: There are two instructions, three bags, two plates and a sticker sheet: A closer look at the sticker sheet: Here you can see the minidolls (which I never use): The instructions show a building-up-process in three steps: So let's have a look at the shopping cart and its "station": There is even a shopping list added to the shopping cart. And the shopping cart's "station" has a sign: And now the "table" with the newspapers and the flowers: The supermarket itself from the exterior with its big emblem on the top and the double doors in the middle and the display and the bow with the half melon and the pineapple on the left: There's a very detailed interior with display, cashpoint, bakery, fish, vegetables and fruits, meat and milk products sections plus a perfumery section and some sweets at the cashpoint: To my knowledge the following pieces are new: sushi piece, "eye" piece, chocolate (all three printed!) and green flower pot. There's a huge fund of spare parts: Here's an overview of the complete set: And now showing the supermarket in a regular Lego City: For more pics, visit http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=561425 (when folder is public). To come to the end, here's my rating for this set: All in all I give this set a 6 out of 6 and say that it's outstanding. Already now, it's one of my favourite Friends / City sets so far! Con: - would have prefered a (more expensive, but then even) bigger supermarket - regular doors and no sliding doors at the entrance - light purple floor - apart from the chocolates no sweets Pro: + fair price point + nice architectural design + a lot of food stuff + very decent interior with different sections + new, amazing sushi, chocolate and "eye" pieces I hope you liked my review! You surely formed a view on this set, too. So come on and vote for how you rate it. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the news, Fritzy, CM4Sci and just2good! I don't care about that horse stuff. But the amusement park theme sounds really interesting! I wonder how the rollercoaster will run - suerly not with PF stuff since that would be too expensive. Is the arcade a small shop? Whether I'll take into consideration to buy these sets or not will depend on how detailed they are and mainly how they go with the two Creator fairground sets. Thank you very much for link to the picture, Soupperson1! The cupcake cart does look really nice! I hope that it'll be available regulary! You're right. But possibly it's a building in similar size to the juice bar / café / ...? Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the news, Fritzy and just2good! The vulcano research sets are exactly what I was expecting (judging from the set names). I am only curious about how the "base" itstelf will look like. On the one hand I'm really disappointed that the park set will be that small. On the other hand it for sure will nevertheless be a great addition to our cities - since for around fourty euros there can't be only minifigs and otherwise nearly nothing. It's great to read that we finally will get a new gas station. For 80 Euros it can't be only the gas station itself; that would be too expensive. So maybe there'll be even a small garage inside? But that wouldn't make much sense since there's already one in the City Center from last year. There for sure won't be another City Center since the last one was firstly released last year. But a harbor might be possible - let's hope so. Sure is that there'll be two Exclusives (when you take the Brickset list and look for the missing set numbers): 60125 - I bet for a vulcano research Exclusive 60133 - other Exclusive, maybe something harbor related Klaus-Dieter

I have to correct my opinion towards the ambulance plane completely since I watched the second review on youtube and there it is shown that there actually is place for the paramedic inside the plane - great! Ambulance Plane  - no medical equipment inside the plane (even not stickers) - no tires under the stretcher + grandios exterior design (with the stickers) + three minifigs + motorcycle and two injections + perfect price ratio performance (I edited my first statement with this) Yes and no. It'll depend on how big the set will be and how much it'll cost. In a big park set there for sure would be some vehicles e. g.: playground, small lake with rowboats, river with bridge, kiosk with terrace, taxi or bus with bus stop, civilian car, street sweaper, service vehicle for gardening and garbage, benchs, trees, flowers. But if the set was only around thirty Euros, I can't imagine us getting more than one car. The number of minifigs namely does not necessarily say something about the size of the set - e. g. we have starter sets with four minifigs for only ten Euros - so ten minifigs could theoretically be in a set for 25 Euros. LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for your review, IGRION! Here my thoughts on the Carbon Freezing Chamber: - function with the carbon block doesn't make any sense - too small - carbon block doesn't move up and down (like in the first exclusive CC set) + perfect price ratio performance + finally an Ughunaut + great characters + realistic and excellent design for its small size + stairs can be put upstairs So all in all I have to say that this is a cute little set with which you can replay this scene with some nice details at a fair price point. The bad discovery I made is that there are no hinges or other things (like in the last Jabba's Palace set) which let us conclude that this set is part of a bigger set - namely a modular CC! So a modular CC is absolutely unlikely - oh no! Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for confirming this, Lordofdragonss! Here is which things I could imagine being included in this theme: - big volcano with lava-throwing-away-function - mini vulcano - mobile lava drill - (unluckily only very minimalistic) laboratory - mobile laboratory - truck and excavator - vulcanologist with pearl grey torso and legs and the hazmat's helmet in pearl grey - helicopter with winch - quad What do you think? Since it'll be a Vulcano Research theme I highly doubt that we'll get a storm chaser vehicle and a weather station. I guess TLG will give us a huge vulcaone as main set and in addition three or four medium sized and small sets based in the vulcano research - like in nearly every subtheme. Thanks for this information, CM4Sci! I can't imagine a forklift to be included in the Volcano Research theme. In the park / playground set it can't be. And that it'll be part of the the rumored cleaning sets is highly unlikely, too. Maybe it comes with the rumored garage which may have a tire depot? Or will we get a set or theme of which we haven't got any clue yet? Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this information, CM4Sci and just2good! So shall the new theme be a volcano rescue or volcano research theme? Volcano rescue sounds weird, but who knows. A volcano research could really have potential. I fear that that playground / park set is not a City set, but the Amusement Park from Friends (there must be one since there will be the set 41129 Amusement Park Hot Dog Van)! But I really hope that my fear won't be confirmed! Since a playground as well as a park are both really since long overdue and would be a perfect addition to Lego City! What about the rescue sets, the cleaning sets and the parking garage legomilk had posted already some months ago? Klaus-Dieter

REVIEW: 71011 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this great review, WhiteFang! After a wait for one year, this series is finally a great and traditional series how they imo should be (no licensed one and none which concentrates on one special subject) and how I like them! And it's even one of the best series we've seen so far! Farmer - no single new accessory - a gardener with watering can would have been much, much better Astronaut + ok, but don't care Grim Knight - acuate tooth in the mouth + excellent torso design + nice new weapon Injured + crutches and bandage + funny torso + nice printing on the plaster Tribal Woman + excellent torso design + nice feather printing + amazing baby Winged Warrior - no buckler + great helmet Satyr + printed flute - dislike this creature Animal Ranger + nice torso + lovely small animal Janitor + feather duster - nasty torso (mainly because of the color) - nasty cap (mainly because of the color) Ballerina + excellent torso design + printed hair + extra skirt Robot + ok, but don't care Kendo Warrior + "helmet" looks good + swords have wooden look (not for war, but for training) Shark Suit Guy + funny Wrestler + nice hair piece - dislike this type Jewel Thief - a bit boring since we've got enough thieves in the City theme + ok Queen - would have prefered another medieval queen + great torso priting + nice that the skirt is one piece I'm really looking forward to buy some of these plus for the next regular series in fall! Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for all the information and pics! Imo the adventure camp sets do look ugly. In contrast the three buildings in the winter wave are terrific:  Supermarket - only one shopping cart - two seperate doors instead of a sliding door as entrance + great design + chocolate and sushi and a half melon + a lot of food Cupcake Café - only one couch with a small table as seats inside - baking oven without control panel - no second floor + brilliant ancient looking architecture + many cupcakes + nice coffee machine and kitchen machine + terrace is nice addition Popstar Villa - strange looking wall like stairs behind the pool - wall on the right side upstairs not completely closed - only one chair in the kitchen - too much dark pink and purple color + perfect price ratio performance + pool is great addition + amazing architecture + great interior + a lot of accessory Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 poll
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this poll, WhiteFang! My favourite one is the tribal woman - simply terrific! Second choice would be the grim knight, third the injured man, fourth the Kendo warrior, fifth the ballerina and sixth the shark suit guy. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you all very much for the pics and links to the reviews of the first half of 2016 City sets! I did already comment on the Fire and Prison Island sets. But here are my thoughts on the Great Vehicles: Rallye Car - no car doors + excellent design + nice new torso Speedboat + perfect price ratio performance + excellent design + even two additional buoys 4x4 + great design + a lot of accessory + nice new torso - with about ten studs in total it's much, much too wide Ambulance Plane  - no medical equipment inside the plane (even not stickers) - no tires under the stretcher + grandios exterior design (with the stickers) + three minifigs + motorcycle and two injections + perfect price ratio performance Garbage Truck - "fork lift parts" don't fold up - no place for the second dustman in the truck - with the "fork lift parts" on its side it's very wide - dustbin is too huge and doesn't have a lid + great colors and design of the truck + completely new design / function + a lot of accessory Van With Caravan  - no new minifig torsos - would have prefered a kid instead of dog and barbecue + perfect price ratio performance + van with car doors + can in blue (not red!) + caravan with some interior Ferry  - no ladder upstairs to the bridge - senseless chair - no car doors + perfect price ratio performance + great design + holding two regular sized and one small car Small Blue Car + nice color - no doors - much too small in comparison to all Lego City vehicles theses days Which I'm really disppointed about is firstly that there is no snowcat (although it would have made a perfect addition to the snowplow from 2015). The set I like the most in this series is the ferrry, closely followed by the ambulance plane, the van with caravan and the garbage truck. Klaus-Dieter
-
Very late but nevertheless here my comment: Thank you very much for the pics, whung! I adore 40221 - the set including the fountain with two possibilities for the statue on it plus too small benches, a woman, a dog and a yellow bicycle. This is a great addition to every city! The only thing you can critisize is that the benches are only four studs bright - so that only one minifigure fits on them - and that there's only that one minifigure included. An additional male fig and the female with a more appealing, new torso (e. g. one of the in the 10686 set) would make the set absolutely perfect. I really hope that this one won't be a giveaway or special limited set, but be a via S@H sold set! Klaus-Dieter
-
Very late because of missing time I firstly now comment. So thank you very much for the pics, whung! About the Deli: The exterior of the buildings looks great like all the previous City-compatible buildings, too! But I must admit that I'm really disappointed about that it's no real deli but simply a sidewalk sale for sandwiches. Plus the interior has to be minimalistic - if there's one anyway - since the building is extremely short in its depth - esp. on the second floor (on its right side I see only a one stud interior). That's really a pity! That's correct. Klaus-Dieter
-
I'm very late with commenting, but didn't have time before. So thank you very much for the pics, whung! The Speed Boat looks brilliant for its price! Apart from the starter set the Prison Island sets don't appeal to me - too special and too kiddish. The Fire Station is too similar to the last one. The only lovely detail it has, is the burning hot dog / chicken stand - I plan to buy this one seperately via ebay. The Fire Engine is completely waste since we already get a ladder truck seperately plus it's much too big for how few accessory there comes with it. And the burning house is simply to laugh because it being much, much to small. Havng now the final pics, I must admit that the Fire Boat is for my taste too huge - esp. since its back is nearly empty. Putting it in a layout with regular ships from the last decade would make it looking unfitting. Although the small hut with the mini lighthouse looks fine, I abandoned to buy the set. In contrast, the Fire Distinguish Unit with the burning TV antenna and esp. the great fire truck is amazing! In general to the new Fire theme: I really like it that the majority of the firemen has white helmets. Plus there are lovely (burning) additions in every Fire set. The only three things I have to critize are: - no hazmat guy / fireman with suit for extreme heat - no really big (but six studs wide) fire truck without turnable ladder or rescue basket (like 60111, but longer), but with light mast and water cannon on top and on the right as well as on the left side two roller gates with a lot of accessory (like the Playmobil fire engine) - no car accident set with special fiermen's equipment like hydraulic cutter I'm excited about the rest of the final 1H 2016 City pics! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the updated sets list, CM4Sci! This year I'm the lucky one to inform you about the first wave of Friends (and City and Creator houses) sets: 41110 Birthday Party is an open, colorful stage with a giant torte, a piano and a swing. There are some gifts and balloons included, too. New is a party hat - included in some of the other Party sets, too. 41111 Party Train consists of three very small "carriages" on which you can load gifts. The party train is pulled by a yellow bike. A mini dog is included. 41112 Party Cakes, 41113 Party Gift Shop and 41114 Party Styling are all very small sets for I think five Euros including one or two baby animals and some additional stuff. 41115 Emma's Creative Workshop has some space research things included, but located on earth (some sort of animator laboratory). 41116 Olivia's Exploration Car is a car similar to all the other seperate sold ones before and has I think a telescope included. 41117 Pop Star TV Studio is a small, open stage only with a backwall with two big floodlights and a camcorder on a small vehicle. 41118 Heartlake Supermarket is minimum 24x16, but low. Therefore looks more like a grocery than a supermarket. Colors are orange or yellow or orange and lime green. There are a small stand, a shopping cart and a lot of food (I didn't see any new one) included. 41119 Heartlake Cupcake Café looks similar in architecture to that Disney lake house from last year (?). Mainly white, a bit light blue and pink. Base is with brick bricks. With the terrace for two people on the left it's very huge (minimum 32x16/8). There are two smaller display and a huge display for different cupcakes. And inside there seem to be a counter, some equipment and two sofas with small tables. 41120 Adventure Camp Archery is exactly what the name says - very similar to the Kingdoms archery set from 2010/11/12 (?). 41121 Adventure Camp Rafting is only a big bridge and a pink rubber boat on a river. 41122 Adventure Camp Tree House was very hard to spot. Seems like including tree hut, barn, ski piste and adventures in the forests at the same time. There's a huge, light blue skid included - possibly as waterfall. 41135 Livi's Pop Star House is a 16x16 villa in white with a lot of glas, first floor is kitchen, second floor is bedroom, bathroom and small balcony. Included is even a 16x16 garden with small swimming pool and a mini terrace. Info comes from preliminary pictures. Klaus-Dieter
-
This year I'm the lucky one to give you information on the two Creator houses: Lakeside House looks very similar to the last Mountain Hut. It's brown with red roof and grey chimney. There are a man, a brick-built reindeer (looking much better than the ones included in the Santa's Workshop) and two brick-built water lilies included. Corner Deli looks like a mixture between the two houses included in the Café And Bicycle Shop: first floor is dark red and second light blue. The house is intended to displayed open because only this way it has the L-form. The impression I got from the pictures is not a shop but a street sale of sandwiches. There's even a huge, brick-built sandwich sign between the first and second floor. One balcony and a brick-built antenna with brick-built bird on it, a table with food and chair and lamps outside. Minifigs are a girl and a food salesman. Info comes from preliminary pictures. Klaus-Dieter
-
I've got the information because I saw the prelimary pictures. For my taste the Prison Island Police sets are - excpect from the starter pack - boring. But the Fire and the Great Vehicles sets are - apart from the Racing Car - all absolutely amazing! Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for the updated set list, CM4Sci! This year I'm the lucky one to give you information on the City sets: 60105 Fire ATV looks similar to all previous fire ATVs. A firemanm, a saw, a fire drencher and some burning scenery are included. 60106 Fire Starter Set has a mini hover craft for one fireman, a small rack with something burning on it, two firemen, a mechanic and a (fire?) diver. 60107 Fire Ladder Truck is about the same one like the 2013 one with two firemen, but with a burning barrel. 60108 Fire Response Unit is a fire heli throwing water like bombs, the 2015 racing motorcycle as fire motorcycle, a burning container (construction site), a firefighter, a fire pilot and a welder. 60109 Fire Boat has a fire boat using the hull from the Deep Sea Exploration Vehicle, but in red, the bridge is smaller, there's a huge water cannon in the front and on the left and right side a small one, a crane boom with a water cannon behind the bridge. The back part of the ship isn't closed - there's a plate in between. Additionally there's a yellow rubber boat, a burning mini lighthouse (like the one in the last CG ship) and a small rack with a little hut on it included. Minifigs are three firemen, a (fire?) diver and a man. 60110 Fire Station is very similar to the previous version, but with the small garage on the left and the big on the right, the main building is three floors big with that yellow stack in front, but with a revolving door. Small fire car (like fire chief's car), small fire heli and a fire truck looking like the one in the 2013 fire station, but with crane with rescue basket. There is even a burning hot dog and chicken cart included. Minifigs are three firemen, a fire pilot and a cook. 60111 Fire Utility Truck has a burning satellite dish on a pole, a fire truck similar to the Forest Police Truck With Boat, but without office in the back and it's six studs wide. Included is a trailer with a crane with a rescue basket. Two firemen. 60113 Rally Car looks like one of the Speed Champions cars, yellow-black, a minifig and a racing flag. 60114 Race Boat is lime-green with one minifigure and two small buoys. 60115 4x4 Off Roader looks like a giantic monster truck, six studs wide, Octan colors, with two Octan minifigs and a lot of tools. 60116 Ambulance Plane is a bit similar to the cargo heliplane, but without heliplane functions, colors mainly white, a stretcher, a motorcycle, a driver and a paramedic are included. 60117 Van Caravan actually is a blue van similar to the last SUV with jetskis, a caravan nearly the same like the 2012 version, a bbq, a dog, a woman an a man. 60118 Garbage Truck is a completely new design: It has on the left as well as on the right side a bar with which the huge, open dustbin can be pulled up to the top of the truck and be unloaded there. Huge, open dustbin with garbage, two workers and shovel and brush belong to the set. 60119 Ferry is surprisingly a car ferry, yellow-white with a very small elevated 6x6 bridge and place for (I apperciate) three regular sized cars. Minifigs are the captain and a woman who's driving a red cabriolet. 60126 Tire Escape includes a huge tire with a paddle and a police jetski, a prisoner and a policeman. 60127 Prison Island Starter Set has a small rack with a light and a little hiding place for a treasure, a mini boat for a prisoner and an open police car which looks like a car used at golf course. Minifigs are two policemen and two prisoners. 60128 Police Pursuit is a six studs wide white police racer and a red pick-up, a prisoner and a policeman. 60129 Police Patrol Boat uses the last CG ship's boat hull, but in black. Supposably it's a prison ship. A huge red rubber boat is included, too. Minifigs are three or four. 60130 Prison Island is built on a brick-built rock, there's a heliport on the sea, a prison and waste-pipe (through which one prisoner escapes) on the first floor and a watchtower (being three floors big) and another prison cell on the second. Big, black police rubber boat, little police heli, small, swamp-green prisoner's rubber boat and a hot air balloon for the prisoners to escape are included. Minifigs are four policemen and four prisoners. I haven't info about the 60112 Fire Engine and 60131 Crooks Island. Supposably they are retail exclusives. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this information, Itaria No Shintaku! I completely agree, Robert8! Since I dislike all those licensed and special themed series. But really like the regular series which do justice to all cutomers since there's always a huge variety in themes included - city, space, history and fantasy. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for the press release, Rick! I'm with the majority here: HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! This is the second year that I don't buy the Winter Village set. It's really disappointing how TLG kills this great theme! The first four years there had been amazing sets - toy shop, bakery, post office and hut. Already the winter market was not that awesome since the stalls were too small, there was no stand selling hot drinks and even no building included. But the death blow for the WV theme came last year with that kitschy Santa's Workshop imo absolutely not fitting in the charm and the lovely and realistic atmosphere of this theme. So I was that much hoping on this year finally getting another new and great WV building! But what?! Only a re-release of the first set with minor changes?! That's like TLG did not release a WV set at all! I understand that some people are happy because they missed this set. And so even TLG thinks that they could get these customers. But why then not releasing a completely new toy shop as a completely new building / shop, which could give those people the chance to get a toy shop, but nevertheless do justice to the majority of their WV customers who already own the old toy shop?! Besides: I missed the Winter Train - which had been released long before the toy shop. But where is the re-release of this set?! I really don't understand why TLG doesn't release new WV buildings! There are so many which are highly in demand - such as a candy shop, a grocery or a train station. I'm really, really hoping that TLG will surprise us with a completely new and awesome Winter Village building (set) in 2016! Since a winter village with only a toy shop, a bakery, a post office, a hut and a winter market (and for those who like it, the Santa's wokshop) is since long not already a complete winter village! Klaus-Dieter
