[WIP] Clocktower square. My latest Modular MOC.
Littleworlds replied to theCroc's topic in LEGO Town
Some very neat updates! And the close-ups reveal some detailing I missed at the older pictures. Good work! -
This looks really good and the animation is quite spectacular! I'd love to see more of the interior and more detail shots in general. What I see so far is very convincing already.

[MOC] There's a new family owned pizzeria in town.
Littleworlds replied to Guzzisti's topic in LEGO Town
This is just hilarious! Excellent choice of colour and style. Very cartoony and fun! -
Welcome to Eurobricks! I'm looking forward to see pictures of your town! Always interesting to see what people come up with.

Very cool! Like a wild comic-mix of the 5th Element and Blade Runner (not only because of the flying police car!). Excellent ideas regarding surface textures, colours and detailing. Every element has its own character, yet fits very coherent into the overall theme of your build. Amazing work with a lot of life and charm!

[MOC] Modular Florentine Steakhouse & Butchery
Littleworlds replied to Giacinto Consiglio's topic in LEGO Town
Lovely build! The brickwork on the butchery makes it look wonderfully old and rustic and the interiors are just spot on. I really like the brick build sausages and bacons too. It wouldn't have worked without them! All in all a wonderful reference to italian food and lifestyle in general. Brilliant.- 37 replies

Looks great! Surprisingly simple, but very effective with an excellent use of cape-pieces. The pilot herself is just hilarious. I guess you have to be a bit crazy to fly something like this! It also seeks that your hiker has went lost for his last time. Overall a brilliant little vignette!

Hello there! Welcome to Eurobricks! Glad your kids enjoy their Lego! I am not an expert in building Lego with digital tools, but here is what I know: The building tool for making digital models is called LDD (Lego digital designer). Many digital builder use 3D modelling programs like blender for post production and a more realistic render. There are also ways to automatically generate instructions from the LDD files iirc. I guess there are tutorials or at least discussion about the software in the LDD subforum. I don't think it is possible to make Lego models only from pictures (yet!)

[WIP] Clocktower square. My latest Modular MOC.
Littleworlds replied to theCroc's topic in LEGO Town
Looks good! This might sound like a very silly question, but did you put an actual clock into the tower? I really would like to see how you attached it. Really cool! Apart from that, the build fits very nicely to regular modulars, but the walls, especially the tower itself would look better with some more structure. Maybe some tiling, like you did on the centre of the clocktower or using some 1x1 cylinder pieces for the corners. Also, if its supposed to be natural stone, some dark tan pieces to simulate colour-variation due to weathering could work too. -
Now this is really cool! Awesome idea and realization. I really have to smile when looking at your pictures. Gandalf with basecap is really hilarious!

Hello Peter! Welcome to Eurobricks! I just got started with modulars at Christmas and I enjoy them a lot. The Wiener Linien sets look really cool, if a bit pricey. I will show them to a friend of mine who is from Vienna too.

Slope piece is still used for minifigure dresses...?
Littleworlds replied to MattedBricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thats good news! Maybe not quite as flowing looking as I hoped it would be, but the rounded slope certainly has more dynamic to it than the old pieces.- 42 replies

Hmmm, good observation. I haven't noticed that by myself, but I really welcome a helpful stud here and there to help with keeping things in their places. Considering that many of us have several modulars, moving them would cause a mid-size piece-chaos!

Lovely story. I wish you two a lot of fun with your trains. And welcome to Eurobricks, of course!

Storing a city in a playable, yet protected, state?
Littleworlds replied to Huaojozu's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I see. My idea is more for easy taking out and (minor) assembling, not for storing it completely in playable state. -
Storing a city in a playable, yet protected, state?
Littleworlds replied to Huaojozu's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Your idea sounds at least suitable for smaller builds, unless it is a very big coffee table! I am currently going the way of creating scenes to be stored in a book-shelf-style setup, just deeper, at least 32 studs. You can make whole streets, or castle facades with interior, and still access and remove them quickly. Of course, having them open means they gather dust, but I prefer that from locking them away too much. Having several of those levels means quick access to the best part of a city. Modulars will be my "core" city setup. -
[MOC] The Simpsons Springfield Skyline - Now on LEGO Ideas
Littleworlds replied to MOMAtteo79's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looks good. I had to think a bit until I could identify all of the buildings, but thats more because its been such a long time rather than their quality. Very well done!- 14 replies

One of the last things I would have expected from TLG was releasing a Fokker Eindecker-inspired set, so pleasant surprise there! It was actually pretty good already, especially for the tricky scale, but your modifications really enhance it. The trussing does a lot in adding detail and the gun and rudder look really good as well. I would also consider playing a bit with the sides of the fuselage. The eindecker was a very boxy thing beyond the engine section, so maybe using tiles and/or wedge shaped plates would fit better. Regardless of that, it is a really cool mod!

Now this is something seriously crazy. Love it! Great and inventive use of parts - especially some you don't usually see on a vehicle. I also really like that its asymmetric. That makes it even more mad science. Brilliant build!

After seeing the Jangbricks review on it, I like it quite a bit more. The flashiness of the 50s-style facade can be quite deceiving. It is much more than that, with some really nifty building techniques and clever layout. Just as you would expect from a modular. I think it now really only comes down to liking the style, or not. In regards of complexity its in no way inferior.

Beautiful and lush - a very impressive build. So many details and clever camera angles. Very vivid, very scenic. The background story serves very well in setting the place into context and fleshen it out.

Thank you, Lego, for making the most inspiring and high quality toy, that gave generations joy and good play time!
