Kenworth K100
brickless_kiwi replied to LegoV94's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There's a number of suttle details that unless your a diehard truck spotter or you happen to own a k100 or two are very well done. A lot of love has been lavished on the truck and reefer I would certain love this on my shelf.- 18 replies

Air cooled classic car
brickless_kiwi replied to rm8's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well with four days to go you better get busy -
The photos are good and crisp the addition of tools and a wood background suit. The technical side of the review is ? I'm picking the way it reads your the opposite sex as that's what my missus would say working on cars . The set only appeals to fans of the franchise. Me I think lego dropped the ball not making a ucs or flagship set. However practice make perfect and I look forward to other technics review.

[TC18] Orange car (WIP)

I know that feeling my stepson has borrowed the wheels of my racecar and left his stock biscuits sitting on my car... -

The only one thing you can't use is balloon tires. You might want to go and read the thread pertaining to the rules. Kind regards matt -

42108 Roll-off Truck
brickless_kiwi replied to M_longer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There have been in the last couple of weeks in Australia some quite nasty truck accidents. I would certainly go and buy a second 42108 to build this through I really do like the red. We use a endless chain with a skate version. Safer for the driver quicker and you can have a much higher rated chain link than cable. -
42108 Roll-off Truck
brickless_kiwi replied to M_longer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Your Australian spec needs a bit of work. It's not quite been rolled, bowled and assholed... -
I think its a hard car to capture, the 944 has "hips" and that rear wheel arch is just disappearing, and the tire should be fat and right at the lip of the guard. the Lego guards suit a 911 unfortunately and your car is not sitting level, I think at this scale suspension is a luxury not a necessity

I like the good turn of speed the truck has and I like the loading ramps on the trailer. It looks a lot of fun to play with. Well done.

One possible entry if the person completes it will have by my count well over 100 system bricks. Once again it's nearly an entire brick built interior which fits the car like a glove and I think this moc would be hard pressed not to have a heavy brick system count. Maybe next time @Jim a percentage ratio of you don't want technic/ model team builds. I still can sit here and appreciate the design and work as its beautiful done @HorcikDesigns and hopefully the voters decide too.

Mini Crane Truck
brickless_kiwi replied to Krall's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like how the trailer contains all the Pf yet the truck can and remains a standalone hog play moc. Very well done.
