  1. A warm welcome aboard to the contest it is good to see difference styles and people.
  2. While I really like where this is going. The ride height is of a hotrod that has layed frame as we call it. The playability of the model is not there...what would be really smart if you could raise and lower the suspension..kind regards matt
  3. Laughs... its got some horse power... even I can't do a U turn with the trailer loaded like that... the performance is very good..
  4. Absolutely mad props there for a ingenious solution
  5. I wanted to use a rack and pinion front end and also get some ground clearance so back to the chassis design board again ( if anything just like building the real things.) but also I want a five year old to be able to play with this and not have any issues ( had front end sag and wheel rub.. as much as I think the mustang rims would be the way to go I really do like the pop of yellow.. how its on to the interior and functions I do have the ability to run a drive shaft to the front and run a motor but also able to keep the winch feed to the front as well.. currently about 31 studs long 15wide not including mirrors and 16.5 high..
  6. @Seasider Is correct it's not a jag but a Nissan GTP ZX-T. They raced imsa gtp so your engine only needs to be a v6 :)
  7. or how about a radial departure... go rear engine rear wheel drive like a group b rally car...
  8. Id love to do red, @Jurss or a combination ( the renders certainly can be) but simply comes down to the colours available to be ( though on the 20th NZ will find out what the levels are going to mean and if some of us are going back to work on the 23. its no joke the whole country literally is in lock down.. black or dark grey are options.. I will have a look at others..
  9. just had a look on bricklink and in Europe there are a few pricing.. meh not bad then shipping from NZ would kill you... yes I have a lot of lego most of it is destine for my bricklink shop when I retire and need a hobby and income..
  10. Well I have managed to spend some more time on this project, Sariel's model scale pointed out a few issues and also I wanted some shape as well. please note this is not finished colours as it probably will be all black ( its the one colour I do have a lot of.. I think I will do the sides solid like a delivery van, I'm quite tempted to do a Hotwheels version with skinny's on the front a huge motor out of the hood and fats on the back..
  11. looks in my storage box, yea about six of them...
  12. Yes that is a 787 however it never wore wyns as a sponsor...
  13. Just of note it wasn't till later post wars that a number of hotrods did what is called a split radius front beam the lotus 11 used it quite well..
  14. @Jim I believe @Seasider means that a few of the builds have a lot of system bricks not just grills headlights or tail lights..
  15. Kei cars are great fun. Lack of parts leads to being creative with what you have trust me I have had to redesign mine three times now as I don't have the right parts.
  16. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lego-8461-BMW-Williams-Dealer-Edition-NEU-OVP-Technic-F1-Racers-/303134343114
  17. After issues with steering and wheels rubbing ( worse than having 16x9's on a mx5 ). and as much as id like a v8 motor its going to have to be a straight 6.. currently 357 bricks (LDD) its a little ugly but fits the height and width of the box. ( mirrors not counted.)
  18. I'd really like to keep the round headlights but no access to bricklink (we are in lockdown in nz only essential items only) either I come up with another way of doing the front grill and not have tire rub issues
  19. Black holes that cost a lot of money. Sit in sheds and gather dust..oh wait same can be said for motorbikes...
  20. A fake engine v8 of course maybe a 871 littlefield blower with a thunder road carbon shotgun scoop
  21. Hello from nz I have to say thanks to Jim for this competition to past the time thought I have a lot of things to do also be musings from the shed very much like grum (who I hope is well) any way welcome to bricklesskiwi temporary lego shed At the moment I'm hopeful of model with a working motor opening doors and a winch if I can do suspension it would be good but im going for more of a playable model
  22. I like the front end and the v8 snaps spy photos....
  23. Cheers Jim. Will give it a crack I'm better with the real ones than lego
  24. So a jeep or van style vehicle would be acceptable or does it have to be a car kind regards matt
