  1. I hardly think lego would be scalping 42108's on bricklink doesn't quite fit the play well motto.....however after a quick search in nz maybe three of the main players have stock.. and it's not something I have seen on runout yet...either..
  2. This person in question rang pretty much every warehouse and farmers in Auckland and got all th 42113s put on hold for her.. a friend of mine literally followed her around five shops. Unfortunately the big boxes here do not give a rat's megablocks this is also quite problematic with hotwheels sone one scalps the one you need for the set so your stuck paying premium dollars.. I will be honest if my local big box received the 42113 I would have three sets as I get access to new releases before they go on the shelves I had the 42112 on the 22 of August not something that I would shout about here nor on facebook. I am generally am a hour and a half drive to my closest lego supplier so I'm sure as not going to ruin the relationship we have..
  3. You where very lucky we have had to deal with scalpers who I hope rot in hell or the tax department chases.
  4. It's a monster. But I like it and looks to be a good fit to the mack anthem scale of container. Interesting ideas and design
  5. One to two years design time is not uncommon. It would be a interesting question to the former and current lego staff what was the longest design to production time set lego has produced. The Porsche gt3 was three years according to BBC motoring.
  6. As much as everyone is hurting or upset about the situation the lead time on lego projects would be more than six months. Lego would be better to release the parts via bricks and peices. Zero development time and no packaging costs. It seems to me a number of people have no idea of costs and time invested in getting a product to market
  7. One would think so. However the scalpers have well and truly been out in force. Personally if love to see them get stiffed but that's not going to be the case. The one thing that has surprised me is the ratio of sets per head of population. A rough guide is at least 1200 sets where released here.
  8. It remains to be seen whether stores in the US and Europe and Australian sell 42113s by calculating I'd say 1000 to 1200 where shipped to nz given the numbers per store and stores
  9. Question for European and American members . Will the shipped stock be sold or will it all be returned to lego? In nz shipped stock can be sold hence why Ebay is full of 42113 auctions
  10. The battery box is currently only available with this set.
  11. This person is a well known lego collector and reseller in Christchurch nz. And has over ten in his possession and jim if I could swear on this forum is call him a !@#$.. however once the us and Europe sell stock it will be the same I'm sure. It's been madness here in nz people just clearing the shelves
  12. I think jim needs to change your nick to king of the Mack's. Very nicely done
  13. Oh my God what nanny state do you live in....oh wait... its lego for !@#$ sake not some dangerous machine
  14. I feel sorry for the designer but also some of you lot need to pull your heads in. What is done is done. Its lego you can re create it.. Yes I'm disappointed I worked for Boeing for fifteen years this would be a set that I would love on my shelf. And at the time of the tlg group announcing the 42113 I was surprised given the origins of the airframe. Still I don't think two twats with manbun hairdos was the reason that tlg cancelled 42113.
  15. They have been pulled from the shelves of one of the largest lego retailers in nz some people who where lucky to get them.
  16. Rather off topic don't you think? The second thing? Is it really your work when companies are writing your papers... thirdly is that cheating?
  17. Share the instructions sure.... that will be $5.90 please and this looks nothing like a w900. Call it a long nose American truck might be better..
  18. I really like the clean and tidy look of this moc. It's very well done. I spent a lot of time in my youth on Harlam tugs more for aircraft than baggage trolleys. Brings back some very cool memories.
  19. Looks nice Clive. Good to read your well. And a huge thanks to Gilly making it possible. Some technics there that I would like to add to my collection.
  20. Considering it was a quick glance and not a close study the head post are more ge GEVO-12 as to what loco sorry I only did engines not rolling stock..
