  1. I'm sorry mr wigg I might be having a blonde moment. Or getting lost in translation. What is a pretty low barrier of entry? Kind regards Matt...
  2. TC18 was smack in the middle of a global pandemic lockdown. Might have been a few bored people with time on theirs hands. I know I had a go but did not cross the finish line. Anyway the data even to a non data person is interesting well done.
  3. That's nothing. Try and compete with the bots on the hotwheels site. Unless you managed a pre order on one of the latest legends cars. Sold out in 15 seconds.
  4. There is a lot of gear cracking when your driving. Yes you have packed a lot into a small space but I think you have sacrificed a lot of structural rigidity. For me. A lot of the times it's the playability that counts not so much the looks. Sorry way to much system. Not just your covers but the cab itself. It pays to have a work in progress thread. Sure people will come along and say way to much system. But they are also a helpful bunch offering idea's or hey have you tried this. Still you got on the board and entered which is more than I managed. So don't get discouraged and certainly have a crack at tc23... Kind regards Matt
  5. Customer service is playing dumb. However a contact for the lego distribution hub for New Zealand and Australia has confirmed my thoughts on the subject....
  6. Mate..... of course we are being ripped off... here's the stupid thing. I can buy the 4x4 merc of zarvi for $352NZD delivered yet shops in nz the cheapest is $500.... so go figure
  7. Model team is a style of building which predominantly uses system bricks. Your trucks which I admire very much would certainly be model team style.
  8. You are on a bit of a roll with your trucks. It's nice to see system and technic mix well together.
  9. I know this might be cheating. But we use skid steers with fork attachments a lot. You could do a forklift attachment with fold up forks to get inside the box limits. Don't get me wrong a bucket would be the icing on the cake. Regard matt
  10. Jim if the winner was from Ukraine or Russia. Could you receive the prise on their behalf and I would be happy to chip in a few dollars so your not out of pocket to forward the prizes. I know why lego has done this. However in times of hardship and stress I don't see why someone should be discouraged or disappointed in a hobby which might be the one thing keeping them safe or sane. Regards Matt
  11. I see you have changed your front bumper and wheel arch. The first version to me looks very clean and having the step looks good. I'm guessing with the new version it'd easier to add lights and indicators that function?
  12. The first photo is a volvo l70 or l90e The give away is the door handle and frame. These are old machines pre 2008 roughly and still in use today. If you walked into goldpines yard in morrinsville its full of them as you can't really kill them. The second photo is a g series. I drive a F which is similar not so boxy and more room in the cab. The other office...
  13. More of a jim question. Sorry Jim. As with tc18 mirrors on cars / vechiles did not count towards the overall width. Is this the case this time or are you going to be measuring to the last half stud? Of the model in the rest / transport position Kind regards Matt
  14. I know this is a bit of a wish. But how hard would it to motorise a bed lift.... bit of a challenge for you....
  15. Laughs ok this is probably going to sound like a sales pitch. A sustainable product. Treated and rammed and covered with no oxygen penetration even in a water table they do not rot. Cabon credits and you can laugh all you like but with the special sauce we can turn piles into batteries and hold charge so mass storage. Cheaper than concrete and rebar. Highly resilient to earth quakes. So yes we do wired and wacky stuff with timber poles..... and hell I'm proud of what I do... it's different
  16. Standard practice for TTT. Safety and also speed. When your dealing with the butt end of a 375 sed there is a bit of weight involved..... Oh welcome to what I do for a living...
  17. Dunno.. I had one on a construction site last week as we are using it to cut the geotec rammed uglies piles to a consistent height using a lazer and GPS system... https://www.facebook.com/259997034480861/posts/617371105410117/?app=fbl
  18. The base unit is a l180. Just the boom section is changed. And only good for handling shorts I find. Quite a difference experience driving one.
  19. They are known as "feds" front engine dragster. Still a highly popular class around the world.
  20. Rule one. Don't post to eurobricks when tired. It should have been camber. Not toe in. Could well be just the way I'm looking at the photo as well. Kind regards Matt
  21. It's no secret im a huge truck fan. It's the small details and the correct proportions that make this moc outstanding given the scale It's built in and the functions. A lot of love has been lavished on this. The only one comment is the amount of toe in on the front axle when turning. It's a by product of your front axle design.
  22. The sun is out with a vengeance. High 30 degrees which is not common in nz or rather is starting to become the norm. The forests close for a month so we switch over to hauling finished products for another company just to clear the backlog ( excuse the pun ). It's been a busy year despite covid-19 and 2022 looks to be just as busy. So certainly more lego watching than building for another year. https://bricksafe.com/files/brickless_kiwi/eurobricks/test/20211119_134021.jpg/800x600.jpg
  23. Normally self loaders with the loader behind the cab drag a single beam trailer and generally carry longs. Where this has been set for what we call shorts. Call it artistic liscence I think it's neat moc. There is a lot of hints of 9397 there.
