    If only Jim... At what will be retail in NZ an $299NZD set even if local retailers do the standard 20% discount, its still a very expensive set for what it is.. And honestly it looks shite.... and I'm certainly one that rarely says or comments like that, so yes its bad folks...

    I think everyone else has said what I would like to say, lots of very cool technical ideas that I am going to try out and for the record, W900's are notorious for bending frames in real life. I'm very much intrigued by your container carrier, but there seems to be little on the net photo wise..

    Wait till you come off a superbike on the back straight of Philip Island ( that hurt ) these days I do like having a cage around me ( 8 point ) which probably is over kill for club sport level but yes, I am a huge fan of full face helmets on the road, the track and motocross style for mountain biking. get better then get back on the horse..

    No it means the spring diameter 9.90mm 43mm long and the wire diameter is 0.9mm I really though if wandered into a mx5 thread don't get me started on spring rates and shocks

    I have a .lxf of how it is done.     When you are building up a multi combination road train in the yard using an (A-DOLLY) I use the Ring Feeder on the back of the semi not the turntable. On the odd occasions I have hauled a dolly trailer behind the semi ( I then run a weight box on the fifth wheel ) It's certainly not a common practice

    Ok, Here goes, My old eight row trailer that we built used a slew ring from a Hitachi as the load pivot point but also we used the outer ring gears to drive the turntable computer as we called it, ( all hydro-mechanical ) no electronics to set the rate of turn for the length being transported. Yellow arm is the ram from the turntable computer Blue is the linkage to the steering rods ( literally how your Moc works ) and Green is the override Ram. Gray pin is the pivot point . Left Normal down the road straight, Middle over ride pushes the steering link out to initiate a faster turn. ( or you can pull it in to delay the turntable ram allowing you to go deeper into the corner Right the steering turntable has turned with the load and the over ride ram has been moved back to normal to allow the turntable to control steering. Hope this helps..

    Efferman I'm quite glad you can poke fun at yourself. Actually you were not to bad though, we tend to drive the prime movers ( tractor unit ) deep into the corner then turn. Most roads you still have the run off either side so you can still gain a truck width. A lot of the times for tight manoeuvring we put a pusher truck on the rear and all he does is steer the rear trailer. I do have trailer steer controls in the cab that I can over ride the guide turntable, takes time and practice. I do like how your system is so modular. and easier to change..

    Given that your driving this around on cobblestones and performing some very sharp turns, its very impressive! Its certainly going to be a hit at show's....you now need a lego load instead of that cardboard tube!

    With older technic set's there are a few options, place the set on the watch list for your local version of ebay and see what pop's up. facebook groups are another area, they are more active in the Uk, and Europe for the buy and sell side. use the configurable lists on rebrickable to see what current sets could or would give you parts at reasonable prices to build it.( or build it in a different colour red looks good ) The problem that faces us in NZ is we also attract import duty and Goods and service Tax so a 42030 for 250 euros goes like this purchase price $420nz freight $100 ( nominal figure but from Europe that's average ) Import duty & GST $154 = grant total of $674nz You can buy a lot of lego for that money..     We cheat when it comes to backing up.( you put a puller truck on the rear trailer ) This is going to be one serious Model once finished and complete with trailers and load. I am watching this with most interest..

    Its certainly different, which is something that we generally see from you, and to be honest I think you have done it justice. defiantly some different styles of building If you could squeeze a Xl motor in or twin L's or do both drive trains on portal hubs.. maybe a MkII version?

    well if you think the 42070 is "king" you need to build a lot more sets.. Pull on your big boy pants and build some of the MOC's out there that are only available as .lxf's then you really have to use your brain..

    Well Given that we just wound the clocks back on the weekend, and it has got a bit colder at night ( Puttles is now sleeping in the bed instead of on top ) you could say winter is on its way...However due to circumstances beyond my control I have had a change of career ( got married as well ) and have a little more time on my hands, and are home at night. And besides I quite enjoy Grum TV ... the show is pretty good.

    I really do like the test version in red with the yellow trailer. The colour just pop's! I did see these in use in Toronto three way on one of the freeways.

    You will never see an Australian Road Train like that, Sorry Mate The max length rules apply. The closest you would see of this style of truck would be Heavy Haulage Australia. and even then they only run a single trailer. Tri drives are used a lot in the northern territory for hauling side dump triples or quad's. The black K200 photo you have is Photo shopped , (Looks good but is a total Photoshop job ). However I can still appreciate you built a truck in your style ( Kenworth W900 US Style ) with at least 95% of it being technic Your side tip trailer is neat and you have some great ideas on your goose / stepped neck trailer.. As for everyone bitching about the engine, your not going to fit a realistic engine under the hood and even legoornot2legos truck engines are static brick builds at least he tried to make a v8 (Cat 3408) and make it move.

    What I do like is your design evolves every time, I will admit at first I was Meh, but the MOC certainly has grown on me now to a point that I really do like it. The watts linkage / rear end is very well executed, there are no huge voids that you see on some MOCs. Can't wait to see this moc in another colour scheme
