  1. wow this looks great! how about the part count?
  2. ordered the Ewok village instead of the ucs hoth set today.
  3. Congrats, fantastic details and greebling, the windows are hottest! Only thing you could also cover technic the holes with some greebling, but i guess it looks exactly how you wanted it to look.
  4. as you can see on the pictures there are some parts missing and or in the wrong color but they are ordered. Leveler are missing, should get them soon, the "rock base" will be painted. and there is a Plan A, B and C for the main engines.
  5. Hello, while waiting for hoth i build the ISD last month. This is a really massive build considering the retail price of 299$ in 2002. Huge value for the money. time to share some pictures. Colour - light gray and dark gray, also invisible parts have the correct color based on peeron inventory. Panel mounting - Magnets. There are some ridiculous part prices for the magnet mounts 30159, i should get the 3D printed substitutions in the next weeks. A Friend of mine is currently drawing them, for the meanwhile i used other mounting parts. part 2 is following
  6. Got some parts yesterday - and changed a few remaining dark bluish grey parts to dark gray. Still waiting for the stickers, but as it is a beautiful day i made some pictures in the sunlight.
  7. dollar per piece y, but when i see the amount of tiny slopes like 54200 and 85984 at the first overview. http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=54200#T=C
  8. Great project! Hope you can gather supporters.
  9. here´s the inventory: http://peeron.com/inv/sets/10179-1 to determine which part is where you should look at the PFD manual
  10. Started gathering parts based on the LDD file for this beautiful piece of art! Got almost ~350 parts in the correct colors from my brickpile. But never the less this will get tricky as some parts looks very rare and a few also expensive to me. Not sure about the display vignette, maybe Endor or a Imperial construction facility?
  11. today at eBay US: http://www.ebay.at/itm/Lego-assault-on-hoth-75098-1-DAY-AUCTION-/331841883905 brand new sealed in Box for 200$ ~ 176€ guess this playset will tank hard.
  12. don´t know exactly but it depends mostly upon where you live. EU ~25-30% more expensive than USA
  13. wow wow wow insane build, love it
  14. thank you for your review! I´m sure now, i will skip this set. UCS? Maybe i will look for minifigs elsewhere. Most disappointing for me is the main gate the door size compared to the snowspeeder is bad. And the snowspeeder itself is terrible for me. And if i want shooter overkill i´ll went for battlepacks.
  15. is it true, that the snowspeeder is bigger than the door? Your Video looks like.
  16. @Lobot totally agree! don´t see the value here, i wanted to buy this set but the more i see about it the more i´m convinced to buy just the minifigs for my hoth project.
  17. ^^ thank you, i really like it especially the cone shape i miss with the plastic wheels, already ordered 3 dishes 3960 in trans-light-blue :)
  18. i know but alternate part is 0.68€ in germany for 20pieces - new in the correct colour thats a good deal for me. compared to 2.5€ for 1 or 2 pieces.
  19. S T O P wait a second :) until now cheap in light bluish gray Wedge, Plate 4 x 9 with Stud Notches - Item No: 14181 http://alpha.brickli...&O={"color":86}
  20. good luck on this task after bricklinking 7 Lego UCS sets i know this is a huge project. currently i bricklink the 10030 myself with magnets. you use the "2573 Black Wheel Hard Plastic Giant (71mm D. x 47mm) – instead of light gray" have you thought about redesigning the 3 engines? or am i the only one who really hate this annoying hard plastic wheel style? buying the giant wheels in black or orange and painting would be my plan C or D.
  21. This project is so incredible, the details on the panels, feet, everywhere look so smooth. Stunning!
  22. Good evening, too dark right now, and my photo skills are limited, will try to make a nice picture in the daylight. The Front window is finished :)
  23. BTW, the LDD picture in your Link from Cjd223 looks nice but its impossible to align the Parts with real Lego. At least with "legal" connections. (Edit: oh i didn´t noticed the changed height of the cabin - y it´s possible like this.) Sure, will make more pictures when the windscreen is totally finished. No Idea if a buy a new UCS one? How sure is a rerelease?
