Lego Bricks n pieces: 70€ shipping included Bricklink spread over : ~150€ shipping included. substitutions a lot but if my plan works out they won´t be that disturbing. - color strict light/dark bluish gray instead of the old colors. -

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
Midlife-crisis replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
would be cool as according to some leaks A-Wings will be part of the resistance force in Star Wars 8 -
As the part price for the Blue round tile is skyrocketing it thought about another solution. Maybe there are some other ideas too. The Tile with hole can be placed lower but this will reduce integrity.

Thank you for your instructions! Finally finished the Robots today, needed to substitute the Blue round Tile 2x2 for R2-D2.

Got the last parts for the AT-ST today, there are 2 color alternates - the LBG paint roller would have sum up to 7€ so i used the black one and i have substituted the barely visible 2817 to black which fits imho better to the black paintroller. It´s a bit tricky to get it stand stable in the first moment :) Looks beautiful, so much details. Great! Big thank to you!

[BL - WIP] 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer
Midlife-crisis replied to Midlife-crisis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you, glad you like it! For the domes, i think i will keep them for now, as the UCS Hoth Ion cannon is disappointing to me, i will most probably use them in the meanwhile in my hoth moc which is also WIP.- 38 replies

Used both html and LDD instructions, as there where sometime a part invisible. But no big problem after all. If i remember right the 2x3 Bracket has no "real" function but it would be efficient to reduce part count. Even if i cannot make it stand - it is planned as a part of my hoth moc attack force, so don´t be surprised over a "fallen" AT-ST. I currently think about building a 2nd one, price with shipping costs was around ~90€ due to orders in 3 different shops.

[BL - WIP] 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer
Midlife-crisis replied to Midlife-crisis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
received a few parts today, 6x6 radar still missing, but never the less i completed all 3 engines and took a shot. size comparison, the overall diameter is about 2 and a half stud smaller, it´s also a brick height lower. as soon as the 6x6 radar arrives i might do some changes in size and shape.- 38 replies

Good morning, started with the building process, some essential parts are missing, i should get them this week but the shape is recognizable. From my experience as Lego builder - you did a awesome job this is an absolute artwork, the way you aligned the parts is far beyond the normal. The build was challenging based on the with the LDD instructions and took very long compared to the part amount. Congrats and deep respect!

Thank you for the hints. The LLD ISD by all in the reflexes is really cool. krisandkris; yes this might work, i have ordered trans blue 6x6 radar dishes as i want to replace the 4x4 ones. I think i have some 6x6 dishes left, this might be worth a try. I should get all the parts this week. regards- 38 replies

this moc is really great! I´m a bit limited on available brick versions due to the old gray concept. Still waiting for some parts, but here is a picture of my Plan A, size is very similar to the giant wheel version, it contains also illegal connections which could be fixed with some 3794, 4275 and 4276 plates. Hope you like it :) Partcount so far 58pieces per engine.- 38 replies

I´m still waiting for some parts in old gray, don´t have that much in stock. Totally agree with you all that they are too big, but the shape looks already better to me then with the giant wheels. The dishes in the first pics are 8x8.- 38 replies

I´d like to show Plan D for the engines, thanks to Raskolnikov´s awesome Imperial star destroyer MOC: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=130922 I still want to change the 4x4 dishes to 6x6 dishes. But overall i´m very satisfied with the shape. Color is light bluish gray unfortunately. Whats missing now are ~25light gray leveler and the 3D printed magnet holder.- 38 replies

totally agree with you, even based on the averages! EUR/USD exchange rate over the last 12 months: 1€ = ~1.1094$ calculated with 249.99$ would be around ~225€. or 12Months average GBP/USD ~1.49310 - ~167pound This are just ridiculous price ranges in a globalized market/world.

The AFOL and maybe their childs are the group which UCS was designed for. People would not care if this box doesn´t have this UCS Logo. A Snowspeeder we know in this version from 4 or 5 Sets with minor changes while there are really awesome but less playable mocs out there! => Lars! The Ion Cannon, the missing fins, the unfinished inside all this facts are objective! This set shows imho what Lego thinks about Star wars fans. They think give them the UCS Logo and they buy every s***y brick pile. The very often compared Ewok village is a really great design, you can "FEEL" the heart blood of the designer to bring in nice details, that piece was designed with love and you can see it with the first blink of an eye. The UCS Hoth is not in the same league - its not even the same sport ;) (pulp fiction)
