  2. True, i have this store on my "disliked" list, it does not show up on my [easybuy] list. But i discovered a few others which charge 2-3times the price from Bricks & Pieces for some "common" parts which are still in production.
  3. It was just a small step to convert the IGV-55 to a Gozanti light cruiser. Nearly all of the work was done here: The Tie-Fighters are not my creation. Will add new pictures when the rendering is done.
  4. they are available at "Bricks & Pieces" 10cent per piece.
  5. We use the same techniques for buying bricks, so that´s not the problem. I´m ordering round about 3000pieces per month - there are shops with good prices sure, unfortunately their stocks shrink for the types of bricks/plates i use the most. Often when i see the prices in the US i just have tears in my eyes. The thing over the last half year is, if i order parts which are cheaper in a shop than from Bricks&Pieces the orders get smaller and smaller, not really worth ordering from a Bricklink shop because of the postage disadvantage (to austria) you already mentioned. Dare i ask, where do you come from?
  6. Good evening, is it just me, or are the Bricklink prices in Europe ridiculous? I think pricing was much better in the past. Not only new parts, also many (common) used parts seems to be more expensive on bricklink sometimes up to 2 or 3 times higher, than new parts directly from Lego. I fear we will see this messange more often in the near future: did you make a similar observation? regards mc
  7. - Engines Mod - 2nd cannon on the underside - Overall high is 1plate less. I think it´s time to order some parts. (Part count: 547)
  8. indeed it looks goofy. :) did roof and tail again, which reduced the part count, and make the model more accurate. I also changed some uncommon parts to common ones.
  9. Not sure about the nose, tried some different versions. Sides are more accurate now.
  10. Finished the A-wing a few days ago. I´m really satisfied with the result.
  11. Part count 527Bricks estimated part prices 60€ The wings are thinner now, rebuilt the engines a bit. And the light gray wedges behind the cockpit.
  12. The IGV-55 is a intel modification of the gozanti class. Pictures are rare on this one, i found different Versions of the ship. The wings are too thick right now - 3 plates high should be mor than enough. Need to make a different greebling. Overall the ship has plenty of different angles. Not sure how far i go with the angles, because of the stability. Partcount is 469 right now.
  13. Thank you, there are plenty of different drawings, i picked the one which looks most reasonable to me. Unfortunately there are many illegal connections for the LDD. Don´t know how to do the greebling in LDD yet - will make this step by step and look where it takes me. very true - as you can see on the hull plate the angel isn´t straight, i decided to go for correct dimensions instead of perfect hull gaps. Never the less there can be many improvements on the hull plates to make these gaps smaller and look more uniform. BTW: we are talking about "this area"
  14. actual LDD progress: unfortunately some connections are illegal in LDD but work well with real bricks. the real model is boltet to my "battle wall"
  15. To keep this topic clean, i´ll post everything related to the star destroyer here:
  16. I suggest to read the full topic as the hinge question was already asked and answered. @churcholo shared a LDD file for his stand as alternative to the trans clear cylinders. The stand works very well imho.
  17. Thanks a lot, the LLD is not ready yet, but still working on it, I let you know when it is finished. This is the LDD Progress so far, next step will be the hullpanels. The building process of the panels is repetitive to some point. 505 Bricks here, will make 2 versions - the 10030 alternate build and a free build in case someone want to build it as ecmo47 mentioned.
  18. thank you ecmo47 and cjd223. The nose length is round about 9% of the total ISD length. Maybe someone will build one soon :) True, the barrels are very rare, they can be swapped with some minor changes to wheels. As you can see, i had some problems with the greebling connections in LDD.
  19. I need more Tie-Fighters... The nose of an ISD has joined the battlefront. It´s bolted to the wall in around 170cm height. LDD File is not finished yet, as i stopped simultaneously build during the greebling, the part count is around 1500parts. The "dark side" beside the wall has no greebling.
  20. Hello, my plan is to make a battle szene with mortesv Nebulon B and the Correlian Corvette, both are scale 250:1 And this is the problem, a "in scale" 1600m Star destroyer would be 640cm long. Far more space and bricks i can effort. So im building simultaneously in LDD and real the nose and just the nose of a Star destroyer. The greebling height is aproximately 12Studs in this scale. Picture quality of the studio model is rare if someone has a good reference i would appreciate if you could share the link. Found plenty of different versions of greebling around the star destroyer. To make things a little bit more comlicated i try to design this as an alternate build of the 10030 and use only the original parts. This will cause a few compromises. This is the actual progress in LDD AND real bricks.
  21. started with the model - 1:250 scale this is just the "nose" dimensions are correct so far, the estimated greebling height is around 11 2/3 to 12 1/3 studs. Was a bit difficult to calculate as most available drawings are in a inferior quality. If someone feels disturbed by the WIP picture just drop a message...
  22. around 640cm (1600m) i try to construct at least 50cm long part of the nose, in 1:250 to show a battle scene with microfighters.
  23. sorry for the inconvenience!
  24. I can´t deliver, "no part here, but a hint" My intention was to save Nebulon bricklinkers from harm - you can save 80€ by buying 4 relatively common substitution parts.
  25. haters gonna hate i'm just gonna shake it off...
