  1. It seems (by my rough calculations) to be around the size of a 48x48 baseplate, maybe a little bigger. Only one way to find out though.
  2. That is just amazing! I mean, there's no other way to put it. 100% awesomeness!
  3. Wow! I love the skylight! Little (or big) details like these make up the best MOCs. The flat roof skylight is great! I'll have to steal that one!
  4. Amazing! Saw this and I had to support it! I haven't built a LEGO steam locomotive yet (the Emerald Night had been discontinued long before my dark ages ended), so if this does get approved, I would gladly buy several of these. Again, awesome job!
  5. Wow! I love the vintage look. It has a really ice "age of exploration" feel to it. I Love it!
  6. I feel like the most successful Modular buildings have been the sets that have loads of detail, and have unique and fun builds. The Bay window in Pet Shop and the intricate façade on the Parisian Resterauntcome to mind. The 2017 modular should have some sort of "wow!"factor behind it. The next Modular should use ordinary bricks in an extraordinary way. That's what keeps me coming back to the modulars.
  7. That is amazing! How did you build the SNOT trees? Do you have any pictures of the assembly? Again, really awesome. The tree totally ties it all together!
  8. Yes, I would pick up the Pet Shop first. However, keep in mind that for a few months after the set is discontinued, online retailers like Amazon keep the set at retail price, or lower, depending on if they have a sale or not. It's definitely worth checking out.
  9. I'm hoping for another two building modular set, like PS or MS. A coffee shop or a grocery store. OR... A grand hotel, something around the height of TH. That would be amazing!
  10. Yes. The excavator and helicopters look great! I'll be picking them up for certain.
  11. My life has a new set of goals!!!! Costly, but amazing! I'll look into that more...
  12. I second on that! They would have to be minifig scale though. A 737 or small Airbus would be great. The same theme could also have airport structures. A nice scale-ish sided control tower would be great! And to stay on topic, my all-time favorite plane is the 3181. It reminds me of the small commuter planes that fly through PDX and Santa Anna regional airport.
  13. Spectacular Model! Great use of techniques and a great, functional, look overall.
  14. Wow that's great! Can it be used as an open system?( is it easy to add on to?)
  15. Anyway, what else is coming? Does anyone know if new "great vehicles" are coming out, or if they already did?
  16. I can agree with that. I really dig the industrial look. It's nice to have a non run-of-the-mill helicopter, sort of like the Arctic helicrane in 2014. I might have a change of heart about these sets.
  17. True, but I also think that we shouldn't just focus on the trains. There are many examples of train-related items. How about highly detailed maintenance of way unit? Perhaps another Maersk-based product? A generic LRV?
  18. Just an idea, how about putting My Own Train-style cars on ideas? They'll meet the piece preference, and should have enough appeal to a broad crowd, especially if a piece of straight track comes with the sets.
  19. That excavator in the volcano set doesn't look half bad. I wish I could say the same about the other sets...
  20. Ay Ay Ay! That's spectacular. Something along those lines would be great!
  21. Hi, I'm new to this community, and I figured I'd throw my two cents. Themes that I would be interested in are: 1) A nice harbor/ port. I work at a seaport/airport, and I really like the idea of a (new) dedicated port sub theme. The last one was rather disappointing, so something along the lines of a 7823 container crane depot and 7994 harbor combination. A new (brick built?) ship hull would be nice, as the more recent one has been too small, in my opinion. Some new Maersk train-style containers would be nice as well. 2) More buildings. Lego has been very action-oriented recently, and I understand that. But when I was little, I liked the buildings just as much as the fire vehicles. Town Square set did a very good job of this. More in the future? 3) More independent train cars. Something similar to the vehicle line, or my own train, a while back. So there is a newbie to the AFOL world's perspective. Please give me feedback if possible. Thank you.
