The Stranger things set shows TLG is willing to cross a line that they were previously unwilling to cross, now stranger things is nowhere near as 'adult' as some people seem to think but it is definitely not as child oriented as any of the other lego licensed themes. This can sort of be seen in that it has been given a single (so far) 'collectors' set rather than a mass market toy line. I started this topic so we'd have some where to discuss this, how we feel about this and what other license we might like that fit into this niche (i.e not child oriented but not extremely 'Mature'. Now in the Trolls topic @Robert8 suggested that this new slew of licensed themes (stranger things + Trolls) might have something to do with TLG's recent change in CEO and I find he might be on to something. As for themes I'd like I think The Elder Scrolls make sense it isn't super inappropriate so maybe we could see sets to go along with the release of TES6, though Skyrim special edition was an 18 so maybe TES6 will be too which would make that less likely. (Though skyrim isn't anywhere near as 'mature' as GOT or anything but even with stranger things getting a set TES is probably still too 'mature for lego)

Lego themes that we would like to happen
Agent Kallus replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd like to see a goats theme. Each set has at least one goat. with some goat related builds such as a goat version of the horse of troy or a bi-plane piloted by goats or mountain goats on a mountain. I'm not talking anthropomorphic (chima) goats or goats in clothes just plain ordinary goat's doing extraordinary thing. They could make a new mould for a baby goat as well.- 451 replies

I hadn't realised from SDR's description that the upside down was literally upside down, that's nice, looks good to me Perhaps keep the pm requests in the pms.

It's posts like this that make wish EB had a like system. Fair enough, we'll get official pictures in less than two weeks anyway.

It's a shame Jane uses a cloth skirt rather than a printed or plastic one and I'm not sure about Her or Lucas's hair, though I'm sure they'll include her non wig hair as it is much more iconic. I wonder if we'll get a nose bleed face for Jane as well, possibly too graphic for lego but they did make that bruised Iron Man face.

??? First of all, I never said they're were any as of yet. Second of all exclusive sets can still be bought from the lego shop/shop@home or amazon a lot of the time anyway. Third of all people make mistakes don't be nasty. I didn't say that they were exclusive to the UK either if that's what you're trying to imply.

A set that is only sold at certain shops. Like a set exclusive to certain retailers such as Argos in the uk or target across the pond.

I didn't really know what Portal was when they revealed the dimensions pack so I looked into it and now it's one of my all-time favourite games. When LOTR sets were announced/Rumored I didn't really know much about it (i'd read the Hobbit but had read or seen anything else Tolkien) but by the time they released I'd read all 3 books, seen all 3 extended edition movies and started looking for some of the other middle earth books. I'd've probably gotten into LOTR without the lego sets coming but they sped up the process. I'd seen bits of back to the future and my sister was a fan but I never sat down and watched it properly till the Lego sets reminded me it existed. I watched the 8 minute long overwatch dragon short when it came up as an advert on youtube (could skipped after 5 seconds but it got my attention), hadn't touched overwatch since, cause I'm not really into online multiplayer or first person shooters, but the reveal of the lego sets convinced me to have a look at the character bios and the world seems interesting enough. I can wholehearted recommend Doctor Who and Avatar to anyone teetering on the edge. Doctor Who does have a lot of episodes but it frequently reinvents itself so there are plenty of good jumping on points.

Her wings are made of lego!? That's awesome! I can recognise several parts.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well I count that as problem myself as it, the problem wasn't to the same extent in everywhere but the point I was making was that the US wasn't the place where last year's bricktober packs (not just the marvel one but as a whole) could easily be considered a fiasco. -

Not to be a jerk either but It definitely wasn't 'only the US' that had a problem with bricktober last year. I'd say calling it a fiasco is more than fair, distribution was a 'fiasco' more places than it wasn't. The UK, Australia, The USA, Italy, Puerto Rico, The Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Ukraine and tons of places had a "major problem". -
I'm glad the builds are minifig scale like in the castle advent calenders rather than mircobuilds like in the star wars ones. (at least from what we've seen) edit: Also hoping it'll be this Flitwick rather than one like in the cmf

The open back make sense to me, but the lack of uniform torsos is shame, though at least this mean it won't skew the house ratio's even more. (I use the duplicate uniform torso to make extra students and they are almost all gryfindor for obvious reasons)

Look at the giant snake set, compare the head of the snake to the colour of it's shoulder armour. either one of those parts is non metallic or I was right all along.

I kinda prefer the 'less is more' approach, star wars for example gets a lot of sets and lot of them are rehashes.

I was inspired by @Digger of Bricks's suggestion of a batmobile that uses the nexo knights canopy so I decided to throw something together for Batman's 80th anniversary . It isn't based on any one version of batman's iconic vehicle but takes inspiration from many of the numerous depictions of this famous car. I'll apologise in advance for my lacking photography skills. You can see Batman's head but sadly that's all as a whole minifig can't fit inside. I was originally going to use a the smaller fin shown above but I preferred that look of the larger bat wings. I was going to make the stripe blue and use this part but I thought the grey looked better.Anyway thanks taking a look, comments and criticism are welcome.

Prelims always look bad so I won't judge the sets yet but if you look at the prelim for Kai's car it still looks like the snake has two colour of pearled copper/bronze, maybe copper metallic and a new one? I brought this up before but I wasn't so sure, but now two different pictures lead me to this conclusion so I'm more convinced but I guess we'll see soon enough. Also I like that we're getting a recolour of the Khopesh.

You keep suggesting that but none of the spacemen in your pictures are bald which this one would have to be :P (It'd still work though I'm just being daft) I wonder what it'd look like to have the sandy cheeks helm over this one? -

No, they appear to be part of a new pack like the webs/blasts/bats/ninja weapons/ friend dinner stuff/etc it also seems to include the grenade like parts and the studs with bars. -

I'm actually kinda surprised by the (generally) negative response seen here, these sets may be retreads but they are beautiful retreads.
