  1. Interesting seeing the short have a new Alfred complete with stubble but it uses the regular green lantern.
  2. Wasn't there a rumor about Doctor who and the Lego movie 2, I presumed if it was a real thing then it would probably just be a gag in the movie (like the british robots in the lego batman movie or the star wars scene in the first lego movie) but if they're gonna make a physical minifigure of suicide squid Harley Quinn then it doesn't seem too ridiculous to hope for a 13th doctor minifigure. Though depending on how long it took to make the movie and how far into production any possible scene/s or set with the Doctor were made then 13th doctor might be too recent but I'd be really pleased if they made any of the doctors we don't all ready have (or any of the aliens etc).
  3. Sunny wales? Sunny? those aren't two things I think of as fitting together.
  4. Best Theme: Wizarding World: It had a hugely successfull launch and offered a wide range of products with oversaturating the market (ahem star wars) beatfull parts sets and figures made this the stand out theme of the year. Runner up Ninjago had another stellar year once again proving that lego's own ideas should not all be sacrificed for the sake of licensed products. Best Minifigure/Figure: Brickset lists 798 figures from 2018 and the one that stands out to me most is the Condiment King which might sound like an odd choice but I own this figure and he's one of my favouites. Runners up: Dragon Master Sensei Wu,Sybil Trelawney,Violet Parr, Hagrid, Mad-Eye Moody, Dragon Suit Guy and Albus Dumbledore (both) are all exceptional figures with great new parts and prints, all of them are beautifully detailed. Honorable mentions go to Susan Bones and Cho Chang for finally introducing ravenclaw and hufflepuff torsos. Kinda pissed mentions go to Kabuki Nya, Future Jay, Horace Slughorn and Dolores Umbridge. They are all great figures but the lack of availability espaecilliy in the UK which irritates me. Best Set:Go Brick Me I'll do the rest later.
  5. Boycotts only work in certain scenarios, this is not one of them, probably. Less people people buy the set, lowered demand, less profitable for tlg, lowered budget, reduced demand, lower sales, lego stops making mcu sets, marvel still wants construction toys, they sell the license to mega blocks. That said any afol boycott probably wouldn't affect the line much cause we're not the target audience and not all marvel-afols would join in anyway. Buy or don't buy what you want, voting with your wallet may work if they see sets with less minifig detail are the worst selling of the theme then they may decrease, wait I'm contradicting myself, arrgh so in conclusion maybe it'll work but it probably won't.
  6. @Holodoc Is this better?
  7. Honestly it makes perfect sense to me, batman is the most iconic character in the set and his branding is way more recognisable than dc comics superheroes (and the dc logo is still on the box anyway), the branding doesn't have to batman, just the most iconic brand in the set be it batman, superman, wonder woman flash or the justice league. Lego sets are often bought as gifts for children, and a clueless gift buying relative would have no idea who ocean-master was or what the difference was between dc or marvel comics but if they known the child likes batman then they can get them the one with the batman logo on the box. Lego sets are aimed at children and most the time adults buy things for children rather than the child buying there own sets. This marketing strategy makes perfect sense when we consider that afols are not the target demographic for the vast majority of sets, we are the exception not the rule and afols should be well informed enough about the actual lego that branding isn't relevant to their purchases.
  8. It will be sold by lego but is otherwise exclusive to one retailer, in the UK exclusives often go to Tesco or Argos.
  9. Can I request someone to build 70657: NINJAGO City Docks in LDD.
  10. Thanks for the prices. Interesting that the ultra dragon is more expensive than the monastery, but overall prices look pretty good, I'm hoping they translate well into gbp. Motorcycle packs are usually only 20 but it's not one I'm interested in anyhow.
  11. Anyone have any idea about prices? preferably uk prices but any would be nice to know.
  12. Do we know the UK prices for these sets?
  13. Maybe in 2023 for the 60th .
  14. I deiced to preemptively cull a lot of non-moc photos but I was only at around 400 , so I'll be okay for a while, it was like I uploaded regularly or anything. I'll probably show less separate angles in future maybe one main shot and then splice all the rest into one image.
  15. Batman and hopefully others will be in the lego movie 2 sets at least, better than nothing.
  16. I like the torso/leg designs with the dragons, but the masks are odd as others havestated and Nya should've stayed silver (gunmetal).
  17. King Shark, Spoiler, Mad Mod, Mad Hatter and Batgirl.
  18. The minifig looks legit to me.
  19. For those of us who haven't played lego city undercover, it was originally a Nintendo exclusive and it has some cool Nintendo (mostly Mario) references.
  20. That's a really off-topic question but here goes:
  21. This clip leaves me a little more optimistic than the actual teaser did. Its kinda funny how it only introduces 3 of the 5 in the chosen still, I guess the blue flight suit girl is on a rival team, still I'd appreciate a name at the least.
  22. The Shoretrooper was only available in-store in the UK as well, not online, Making it much easier to miss out.
