Christmas box set 40292 (video in post above) will be on Shop@Home with purchase of €85 or more for VIP, 2x VIP weekend 17-18 november. That minimum purchase is just too much imo, after they just had the €55 Minifig Frame promo up to 2 weeks ago. If only they sold 2019 sets early...

I love the older build style house and the hill, wish Lego had more of those Classic style Town houses on decent baseplates (could be 2-4 16x16 plates too) Printing is a good step forward. Overall it's just too expensive for my style of set. Re-Releasing older sets, including prints is fantastic, I love the Town theme. (except the overly simplified Town.Jr style that started in 1997). 1996 is like super nostalgic due to the Lego Island 1 game. More Xtra polybags with Printed Traffic Signs would be nice as well. I understand this is a great set for people who have the budget, and again, the step forward toward Prints is a good sign, and could be a nice display piece, especially motorized, it's just not for everyone, it's very tall so not something you put in a small room or shelf.

LEGO Creator 2019 - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I mostly was like thinking of the 1992 truck+shuttle & 1995 airplane+shuttle sets, but since then vehicle scale, especially Creator ones got up to 8 studs wide instead of 4, so I think it's just too big to realize at that scale. I hope it's not some microscale like this: Of course , Shuttle could be a bus like you said too, since they did make a 3-in-1 Space Shuttle as recent as last year, and a Truck this year for the Stunt Show. While most City bus sets have been 6 stud wide, Friends had a 8 stud wide Pop Star Tour bus in 2015. Seeing how the 8 stud wide Vacation Getaway 2016 set had some creative builds as alternates (a yacht and a house), it still has potential even if its a passenger bus.- 280 replies

I had a 15 year dark age with no new sets (2001-2016), and I haven't mixed the old and the new. (old sets are displayed or stored away from the newer as well). Even while I had the urge to "fix" old lego sets via bricklink, I rather just started anew. Getting "used" parts doesn't feel the same, and there's not many "new" old grey parts, and also you run into the different part varations. Especially since there's the time gap, the grey/bley difference is obvious, not to mention the age/wear/scratches/recolors, some of the old LEGO is older then myself. Sealed sets or promotional remakes (like the Classic Knight minifigure in 2016) could be considered exceptions and new.

Which site give a complete information on historic LEGO ?
TeriXeri replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Bricklink is usually the most complete when it comes to parts/spares/sticker sheets, but it can be complex due to same parts having multiple variants. As for an easier overview, Brickset or Rebrickable both are useful. Rebrickable also has features to manage your collection or rebuild alternate models or MOCs. -
Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion

Current ones cost €9,99 on Shop@home as well, in my Country's website. But it varies per country: UK £10,49 USA $14,99 Canada 19.99 CAD New Zealand $19,99 Australia $17,99 Germany €9,99 France €11,99 -
How did you come out of your Dark Ages?
TeriXeri replied to LegoModularFan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Nexo Knights brought me back after 15 years in 2016. Also rebuilding old sets after sorting them out helped bring back the memories of Space, Castle, Pirates and Town sets. I do keep the old LEGO seperated from the 2016+ however.- 62 replies

An Argument Against Most Non-Licensed Themes
TeriXeri replied to Echo's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I greatly prefer Lego's own themes, in modern times, after my 15 years of no-lego dark age, it was Nexo Knights that brought me back as an AFOL. Now Nexo Knights is pretty much done (2 more magazines at most), I started collecting mostly Creator (3-in-1) sets, along with the Minifig packs (fun in the park/beach/outdoor), and more recent Classic sets for parts (the 60th anniversary sets were great), and Xtra Polybags. I just like plain yellow minifigs, even while I like some Friends or Elves sets for their designs, I never got into them due to Minidoll scale and heavy focus on stickers for decoration. I just have way more nostalgia toward in house themes, like Space/Castle/Pirates/City(town etc.) as I was a kid, and only at the last tail-end of my LEGO time. I got 1 small Star Wars set in 1999. And simply do not feel the same towards the theme, as when I think back of Blacktron, M-Tron, Ice Planet, Space Police 1-2, Insectoids and even some UFO. Despite only having a few small sets of it as most my LEGO was received as gifts as a kid so I never got a whole lot of the same theme. -
40262 was on the Lego Store website for a few days from like october 1-4, might have been leftovers like some other older christmas related sets that were sold the past weeks (some sold out and removed at this time, like the Snow Globe (40223, 2016) or Christmas Magnet (853663, 2017) 40222 and 40253 Christmas Build Up are still being sold currently for €9.99 each on european Shop@home. (2016, and 2017 sets) Overall it's pretty random via the website as some sets appear without being listed under Seasonal or any theme at all. There's also a "Christmas Gift Box" set : https://brickset.com/article/39217/new-seasonal-items-revealed

LEGO Creator 2019 - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Not much Creator news yet. Interested to see if they continue the Modular style for 3-in-1 buildings. And also how the Space Shuttle Transport turns out, could be a Truck, Airplane, or even the Crawler-Transporter. Would love a 747 style plane+shuttle but it'd have to be a really big set then, unless they go back to Microscale. They also just had a 3-in-1 Shuttle in 2017. So I wonder how it compares.- 280 replies

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
They just added the new Kayak in 2017. I'd love to see it made in Yellow or Orange too. -
Medium Legs --- are they gonna be in wide uses?
TeriXeri replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hoping City/Creator sets will start to use medium legs more often. Creator houses, or City people packs certainly are the most generic candidates. -
Knighton Castle has been the last big Castle set released, it has neon orange colors into it's interior so it's not really classic, but it does still have a throne room, bedrooms, dining room, and weapon room, and plenty of space to pose figures on the walls/towers, and it can open up for more playability. Jestro's Volcano Lair is also very nice, and more evil.
-
They aren't bad, but already seeing duplicate Reaper before all characters are added is a bit weird and worries me for future waves having more duplicates as well. Also no Bastion minifig, worries me about characters like Wrecking Ball or Orisa. I know there's likely gonna be a summer set wave, but for now I'll wait for reviews.

[MOC] Ice Planet 2002 | Mobile Research Laboratory
TeriXeri replied to Norton74's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
This has some Axl Tower Carrier vibes but without the medieval influence, really nice. -
Really hope to see the rest soon, personally want to see a different Bastion (original skin), because a 3x minifigure size 13cm Bastion still makes no sense to me if most characters are minifigures. Even with bigfigs like Thanos or Hulk which are at most 2-minifig tall.
-
This bastion is just way too big to be part of the "minifig scale" sets, and probably part of a seperate series of bigger display models.
-
I really hope they'll stick to like including each character just once in their base skin, in the first year (assuming more then 1 wave), before moving to alternate skins or duplicates. This game has a lot of "main" characters so seeing duplicates would be a shame if others are missing. Special skin versions of the characters to me would be CMF or year 2 material imo. Time will tell, but at least the confirmation of a Minifig scale theme is fantastic.

Forest and Water monsters were possibly planned, instead of the Rock Monsters and Virus Vampires. Overall I think it would have kept the theme more Fantasy like and varied. Characters were worked out and have names and artwork, some would need more specialized pieces over others (especially the Tree monsters, and the huge Sea monster too). The minifig versions of the Forest and Water monsters would have been nice to have, even if it were just minifig packs. Printed (books/magazines) and digital media showed things that never made it into Toy form. Stone Scurriers were possibly changed to Bricksters, and most stone Globlins (at least the disc versions) became Bouldrons. Overall I still like the theme, Season 5 of the TV show never was released (Canceled?), so I do hope the comic at least has a proper ending within the next 2 magazines.

Seasonal products on November 2018 calendar
TeriXeri replied to wooster's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The minifigure frame promo is coming next week (15-31 October), maybe the Christmas Carousel is early December. -
Very nice to see some non-licensed build approved, and it's a "building" too.

Action and Adventure Themes Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I don't agree. The good guys do use a lot of tech/robots/computers, and the 2018 wave did push the theme way more into a pure technology direction, but the Lava and Rock monsters still have a strong "Magic/Fantasy" feeling. Especially in their artwork/show representation it's clear that the Lava and Rock monster waves aren't mechs, and that's still 80% of the bad guys of the entire theme. Some of the Lava and Rock sets do have a control panels and exhaust flames, but in my eyes it's still not 100% tech vehicles but part creature, part magic. Lava monsters mostly summoned from a magic book, and Rock monsters zapped to life by a magic evil cloud. Magic books, and forbidden powers also are very Fantasy in my eyes. There's also reference to the Yellow Castle in one of the episodes, and mentioned as something that existed long ago in the same world. Overall there's still Castle/Fantasy elements in the theme if you include the media as well, the sets don't show the civilians/farmers, but there's a lot of it in the show/comic/books/game. And it's even less related to a LEGO Space theme, only in some looks of the vehicles themselves with the colors and canopy having a distant familiarity to like Ice Planet 2002. Flying vehicles are shown plenty of times, but nothing related to space outside of maybe a reference of the Classic Space logo on a Nexo Power that doesn't even appear in toy-form. Chima and Nexo Knights being on the same header makes sense. Now I'd personally would have rather have seen the Forest and Underwater monsters instead of the Tech 2018 wave, but so be it. Just my opinion.- 230 replies

I think 2 more issues after this one as they call the next comic "the big final fight (first half)" roughly translated. So November, and December. Also the magazines contain a poster with about scannable 78 nexo powers for september, 71 next issue (including forbidden powers). I know the powers are all over the internet by now, but it's nice to see Lego release this as a final thing. I don't have a good scanner, so taking pictures and uploading those would be just too much work, and also not be of very high quality in comparison. Also don't wanna run into copyright issues uploading 120 pages.
