  1. I wonder if the 60224 - mission for satellite maintenance - 84 pieces is a Starter Pack (each exploration theme had one so far). But could be a 4+ or regular set too (2 minifig max), if 2019 is any indication that starter packs seem gone within City.
  2. Even as a fan/collector, I think the ending story was a bit boring, but since it's been written around the last wave of only 6 Tech-Infection sets, they didn't have much material to work with. Elves also seems to have ended, so onward to some new in-house Castle/Fantasy theme.
  3. Last Magazine issue been out, theme officially over now.
  4. Donut shop would be nice, 790 pieces is a fair bit if it doesn't include large vehicles. 2017 regular police sets aren't retiring yet, unlike the 2016 fire, so I think we get new regular police station/sets in 2020 again like the 3 year cycle they've been on.
  5. The eye / mouth pieces on the Introducing Queen Whatevra Wa'Nabi set are seperate at least. At first I thought the Build Whatever Box faces were seperate too but then I saw the 3x4 bricks. (aside from the orance eye/mouth bricks) Still think its an okay fun set.
  6. I like that set a lot, goes back to the old days of LEGO "Basic" with the eyes and mouths, but in a more modern refreshing way and at an interesting color range and facial expressions.
  7. The only costume figures I really don't like are the ones with the non-standard arms like the Cactus, Shark , Penguin suits, which imo would have still looked okay with colored arms/hands. But this is more about customized useability, mixing torsos around instead of pure display.
  8. It's at least nice they use the hairpiece in unprinted colors in other sets/themes as well, because it's a great design.
  9. It's not a Minifigure in the technical sense (bricks wise), but it's a character that's repeated enough to have made a name within the LEGO franchise, across multiple themes and waves of sets, and 2 movies and TV presence. But it's still not a true minifigure in my eyes. Even something like a Scurrier is closer to a Minifigure as it uses a premade part with arms added on by the factory. It's like a "hybrid". . Unlike brick-built characters like the Brickster who uses arms added by the builder itself using standard technic pin connection. I feel unikitty still falls into the 2nd category of brick-built characters.
  10. Nice set for getting some sharks. parrots, treasure. Spare parts are always a nice bonus on smaller sets like this. I figure getting Even numbers of the bags will be the most logical in terms of number of Oars and Flippers. Still good to see the theme running, and hope to see many more variations.
  11. Yes that set looked very cool, sort of reminds me of a bulkier Black Knight mech (which I do have) But honestly I didn't follow LEGO much at all between like 2001 and 2010 so I only just now learned of that era creator.
  12. If I'd buy a complete non sealed set, I would not consider the extras part of the build. But I do use the Extras section to check on loose pieces I have in storage boxes. 1x1 tiles, plates, antennas are almost guaranteed extras , but I have seen inconsistent results too with for example gemstones. It also depends on the number of bags, so something like an Advent Calendar tend to have more extras compared to a few large bags.
  13. Oh yeah, now I see that, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 all had some form of robots/mech set(s), with the 2004 TitanXP being the biggest Creator Mech by far. (784 pieces) I just didn't look that far back before.
  14. Certainly looks like an impressive set. Can't wait to see all the interior details.
  15. Don't think that's okay at all. Buying it is directly supporting leaks much moreso then a picture that already went viral.
  16. And you know, what's even more funny*, another LEGO youtuber even admitted to buying one of the Ebay sets. * Doesn't mean I support putting the physical thing for sale, or buying it, not to mention reviewing it.
  17. I just don't like the stickered style of headlights on some speed champion cars.
  18. If I nitpick I'd say robots been part of the theme for a while now, but a Spaceship definately is a new direction. 2011 had Rescue Robot / RoboCat / LaserBot builds 2017 had Robo Explorer / RoboDog / RoboBird builds 2019 certainly been the biggest steps to hi-tech and sci-fi, with the Jet/Mech/Spaceship in 1 set, and a Underwater Robot in another & both set have a great part selection for building more jets/mechs. I see at least 6 ratcheted ball joints in that underwater robot alone.
  19. I agree that set 2 alternate builds are much closer to Classic Space then that 2019 "spaceship", because Classic space was all about scanning the ground and analyzing samples and such. Those 2 alternate builds both have something that suggest scanners or ground analysis. The blue panels on the vehicle can be imagined as either solar panels, or even lowered all the way down to the ground to suggest some sort of ground radar/xray. Also Benny's Space Squad even reinforces that the idea of ground scanning still exists because they include a metal detector like minfig tool like they also used back then.
  20. If some of the bigger LEGO channels/blogs post about it before it being officially revealed, it seems they are ok with this particular "leak". They all say Found on Ebay, like it truly was. How it got there, is an entirely different story.
  21. A moonbase subtheme would be awesome, Volcano and Arctic have been heavily stylized ,and really LEGO doesn't have to be real-world realistic either. Something other then a Space Shuttle launch would be refreshing. Ideas currently has 2 SpaceX sets and a microscale International Space Station set in Review, so I wonder how those will influence things.
  22. Prison Island Police wave had 3 sets with police boats in them in 2016, and a base/prison on the waterside with the Prison Island itself. Other then that 2016 subtheme however, in recent City years there have not been many large Police Boat sets (2006, 2011), Smaller and medium boats of various types (hovercraft, airboat, inflatable) have come with Forest, Swamp, and Mountain Police. But it's true that there's only been 1 true Town/City-Style Police Station on the dockside as far back as 1991 Pier Police, 1996 Metro PD Station had a boat and a suggestion of a prison cell that could be seperated as an island with a shark even, but didn't have the dock elements that were used in the then Town Harbor theme.
  23. My thoughts exactly. Same for the green 911 they made for 2018 in my view. If I wanted a single car, with minimal stickers I'd certainly prefer something like the F40.
  24. Playable Piano reached 10000 now as well, while original, it's 2800 pieces, then again, it took less then 2 months to get up to 10000 (added October 19 2018). Queen Victoria Cruise Ship seems more reasonable at 2061 parts and more likely as a set. Food Stand Diners still remains my favorite out of all 5 Achieved sets so far.
  25. The Xtra theme was a small step forward in that regard, however it's still nowhere near the scale from the parts packs the old "Service" Catalogs showed. My country has no Pick a Brick stores either, so no massing single parts as of now.
