Indeed lots of those triple feathers come with the actual sets too, mostly trans orange and trans neon orange but also blue/red. In fact aaron's bow uses 2 in the infernox set, and from my experience with having the sets, they give a lot of spares on those (1 spare per bag). So far the helmet is new this year but comes in 4 colors, blue / dark blue / green / bright light orange

Would WARCRAFT fit the TLG guidelines?
TeriXeri replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I love warcraft (Played WoW 2004-2013), still playing Warcraft 3 sometimes too. The license is huge, it would have to last many many years to cover the most core locations and there are dozens if not hundreds of unique named characters that aren't like "generic orc grunt" or "generic stormwind footman", as well as creatures/dragons that would likely need a whole bunch of specialized pieces. The games only cover the more recent(in the timeline) lore (with a few flashbacks), and the movie only covers a small bit as well. mega bloks covered the license in the past, and they used a lot of specialized heads and they got more detailed posable figures in general , no idea how well they sold iconic locations would have to be huge sets as well to have sufficient detail I agree nexo knights does cover the current "knights vs monsters & magic conflict theme" for the time being and should be easier to manage as an in-house theme since it doesn't have to be lore accurate If it was just based off the movies there wouldve been sets by now. And if it's based of the lore in general they would have to pick a specific time period to begin as the world changed a whole lot I would love to see LEGO try it, but it'd need to be very specific to be a well known product, and the movie was the chance they had for the general public. Warcraft 3 is already 13 years old so no kids (LEGO target age 6-12 or so) really grew up with that, and world of warcraft mmo changed drasticly over the lifespan, and mega bloks did try their hand to cover some of the major events like Lich King/Pandaria/Deathwing at the time -
I would never buy fake lego to mix it with real, even if its figures. Lots of those shops use fake pictures as well, those might just as well be the real ones posted up. Just my 2 cents.

I like the magazine lava warrior figure, even tho it's a mix of a flame thrower on a ash attacker body, the axe and crossbow trigger (brown, not grey) are different then the norm. The knight racer isn't really special, but still will try to get it as a vehicle for a generic soldier since I got some more with a 4-pack+1 promotional I just got, hope there's a minifigure again afterwards since they seem to alternate them. Would love to see something like a princess macy or armored queen but I doubt the magazine will do that as it's too many unique parts. Got the book of monsters recently, seems to sum up the lava wave nicely, as well as expecting to see the other plant/water named minifig characters at least in sets next year since they already look like lego figures for the most part (might need some new molds/colors for some parts tho) I guess they planned at least 2 years of nexo knights, 2016 being lava monster and mostly knight vehicles/fortrex as well as having a lot of sets in general due to being its 1st year Hopefully 2017 hopefully will have some more monster focus sets/locations. I don't think the water monster or plant monster would take 2 waves each unless they surprise us, or add a ton of knight vehicles which imo we dont need more at the moment

Nexo Knights wishlists
TeriXeri replied to JurrasicPiggy's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
My wishes : - More focus on monsters - not yet another 5 knight vehicle sets knights got enough transportationnow - if they go underwater, i dont hope 5 boat/submarine sets. 1 underwater base would be maximum imo if they go that far. - civilian sets (village/house or minfigs like the reporters/camera bots) - the royal transport hover train from the show - Ultimate king/queen/ava or new ultimate monster sets instead of redone knights - water monster/plant monster 4-packs with different faces/prints/torso and legs. -
Black knight mech is taller then I expected, I like that it's a very different build then king's mech ,slightly weird articulation points but all mechs have their limits really, I don't mind the added blue/darkblue at all in the toy version. Whiparella is a nice minfigure (my first snake tail fig), and the monster hover "bull" is cool that it has integrated spring loaders yet keeps a similar size as the hover horses. The prison area is a good addition, fits the style of the lava lair in it's design and the accesoires(2 mini swords/1 sword/dynamite/dagger) & ash attacker with black lance is always nice to have. Also happy Robin is a different color/print this time with a different logo (got 4 robins total ultimate/polybag/magazine so this is extra nice)

REVIEW: 5004419 - Classic Knights Minifigure
TeriXeri replied to Adeel Zubair's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I got this retro set now, and Ninja is NOT mentioned in the booklet timeline, it goes from 1997 (fright knights) straight to 2000 in the set timeline, and for minifigures it shows at 1998 the crazy king (2586) set Ninja was a 1998/1999/2000(minifig packs) theme, brickset considers it as Castle however.- 21 replies

On the Netherlands site right now it added all 3 promotions (poster / classic knight / nexo guard) , also seems to give me double VIP points for the Black Knight Mech somehow.

Seems like the best time for me to get the Black Knight set and 1 of each minifig 4-pack from S@H, 3 promotions going on (poster/retro knight/royal minifig). Then I got 2016 pretty much complete , minus some polybags/books/promotions, altho I do have robin's minifortrex and the battle station, still more magazine gifts to come as well

German amazon randomly seems to have like 25-33% deals (sometimes including free shipping), but those deals sometimes only last like 1 day.

Jestro's figure is exact the same in both sets. As for matching up the King Mech definately Infernox is the direct rival in size, the other 2 lava monsters (sparkks/burnzie) are a lot smaller in comparison Also infernox is shown in the orange book in 2 sets this summer wave, so hopefully we see him in season 2 of the show as well.

I wouldn't mind actual paper boxed battlepacks replacing Ultimate Sets, especially with the rumours of highly diversity in plant and water monsters. Especially don't want to see Ultimate knighton version 2.0 anytime soon unless they add new characters like King/Queen/Ava. I rather see a few medium to big quality location sets in 2017, preferably structures over vehicles, and use the battlepacks to grow the monster armies.

Yeah looks like inspiration from Clays Rumble Blade (modular bikes) / Macy's Thunder mace (larger bike with 2 6-shooter cannons). But even prior to that it seems Chima started using tracked vehicles and 2 wheeled bikes more regularly. Mainly the lion chi temple bikes or Tiger command bikes/tracks.

Got most of the summer sets now. Just wanted to give my summary, not a review, I'll leave that to experts. Jestro's Lair is by far the most satisfying set with the way it's built, majority of bricks and plates, and the technic structure inside is mostly bricks as well. Macy's flyer can shoot red balls and 2 flickfire missiles. I like the fact each "room" of the castle has a different purpose, the things I couldn't see right away from the box were a small chicken pen in the back, 2 transparent jars in the storage area (neon yellow and light blue), a salt/pepper set at the back kitchen/cauldron, with a space to hold the banana. Inside the jail is a brown bed and a small black pot, and you can use a spare light orange cheese slope from Axl's hover horse as actual cheese for the Rat. Inside the breakable wall on the front is a removable box/case that can hold 4 books (5 if you add one horizontally) The orange book contains an insert of what I believe is a horned/teethed monster which is supposed to be Infernox Other sets: Magmar siege machine and Axl tower carrier have the exact same wheelbase size, and are almost the same size overall. Axl Tower Carrier: When you detach the tower, which allows the catapult to come out, and gives room to add 1 or 2 minifigures inside, 1 computer screen and 2 round neon "ammo" bricks stored inside as well. Burnzie is about the size of Sparkks. Blue book contains insert of Whiparella Siege Machine: Magmar siege engine works well in both modes, the disc launcher shoots at an angled tile in 6 wheel mode which makes it go upward diagonally. The only downside I found is the jail door in vehicle mode points downward, so opens up easily if you have something inside, you don't lose it but it may fall out when transforming/lifting the vehicle. Good amount of globlin(5)+globlin disc(4) included. Aero Striker 2.0: Spring loaded missiles below the structure, are designed in a way, it shoots when pulling the back trigger, first it shoots 1, then the other if you pull it back a bit more. Thunder mace: the knob on the back brings up the 2 6 shooter cannons at the same time. Pretty straigforward vehicle. Glob lobber: simple vehicle with 2 flick fire globlins. Ultimate sets are different then the regular versions: -Magmar got chest armor print and the backpack is designed a bit more sturdy compared to Flama's hammer -Flama has a yellow head/torso/ghost legs compared to Red with different face. The hammer is pretty huge tho and won't really stay up on it's own, sword is more matte-yellow then transparent. -Lance is mostly white with transparent armor/visor. The wings are cool but balance using the huge diamond Lance can be tricky if you got no studs. -Axl is the most different from the original due to being mostly light orange with trans yellow accents (original is silver and trans neon orange) Overall, the summer wave is definately meant as the second complimentary half of 2016, not so much stand-alone, as it completes the "set" of 5 knight specific vehicles/5 hover horses/5 knight squire bot types and the rest of the ultimates/villains and book inserts. It rounds out the monster side a bit more by adding bigger assets like the siege vehicle and castle, burnzie is similar to sparkks, and could pull Jestro's mobile in a similar way. A fair number of added globlins, I pretend the printed Discs are actual globlins too, which makes it around 25 total for 2016 round+disc versions. I hope 2017 will have less vehicles, especially knighton side doesn't need any more right now, so I hope they mostly aim for structures and focus on the monster side of things.
-
I think there are already too many vehicles. Beyond the hover horses (1 per knight) or big specialized knighton vehicle sets (1 per knight + 2 mech), some vehicles can split in multiples. And bigger sets come with more small knighton vehicles as well Fortrex has a small flyer and motorcycle, Jestro's lair has a flyer for Macy. If you have all sets from 2016 for example, and you only use 1 of each knight (even while there are 3-4 of each), plenty of vehicles to pilot for eventual knighton soldiers/bots. There's an actual Nexo Power called "Cloning" which you can pretend there being multiple knights tho I hope 2017 and onwards is mostly focused on knighton civilian structures and badguy (plant/water monster) infrastructure instead of giving each knight yet another small and large vehicle. Also quality over quanitity, I really would not like a second wave of hover horses or knight ultimate sets, not as soon as 2017 at least.

It's nice to add a Merlok minifig somewhere , I rather have a unique character then some reprint of an existing character.

Seems to be: €89,99 Netherlands Price €79,99 German Price. Fortrex/Lava Lair and Evil Mobile were also €10 different between those countries. Some shops offering 10-15% pre order discounts now, but sometimes amazon goes beyond that on individual sets it can be even 25-33% off, even better when free shipping included, but amazon actions only seem to happen randomly and are very short. Some of the cheaper Dutch webshops do have better prices then Shop@Home but higher shipping (€5-7), and only offer free shipping at €100-150. The sites with better shipping rates, usually have higher set prices, so it's different sales tactics I guess.

Got the entire 1st wave too. Netherland release should be around June 1st, Amazon.de shows May 24, Amazon.uk shows June 3, so give or take the 1st week of June.

If you collect all sets this is the minifigure count so far 2016 (not counting magazine gifts here) - Royal Soldier (multiple variations) : 3 + 2 (Polybag) + 3 (Battlepack) = 8 - Crust Smasher : 3 + 1 Polybag + 2 different variants using helmets in battlepack = 4 - Flame Thrower : 3 + 1 variant using hair in battlepack = 4 - Ash Attacker : 7 + 1 variant using helm (silver horns) in battlepack = 8 Aaron 4 + 1 Ultimate Axl 3 + 1 Ultimate Clay 3 + 1 Ultimate Lance 4 + 1 Ultimate Macy 3 + 1 Ultimate Robin 1 Ulimate(regular with armor) + 1 Polybag + 1 (Black Mech Knight Version) = 3 Ava: 1 King Halbert: 1 Queen Halbert: 1 Aaron Bot : 1 (1 is in an activity book as well) Axl Bot: 2 Clay Bot : 2 Lance Bot (Dennis) : 1 Macy Bot : 1 Royal Squirebot: 2 + 1 battlepack = 3 Chef Bot: 1 General Magmar 1 + 1 Ultimate Beast Master: 1 + 1 Ultimate Flama: 1 + 1 Ultimate Lavaria 1 + 1 Ultimate Whiparella: 1 Jestro: 2 Moltor: 1 Book Keeper: 1 Book of Monsters: 2 Globlin : 4 Orange ( 2 Beast Master variants) + 11 Red (3 variants) Scurrier: 4 Red ( 3 variants, 2x Big Smile Version) + 1 Black "lava version" Globlin printed disc tiles in 3 variants (At least 10) Someone correct the numbers If I'm wrong.

Black Knight mech set is nice imo, wouldn't have liked a 100% recolored cloned king's mech model at all, so I don't mind the differences from King's mech, and the blue isn't ruining it for me either. Kind of surprised they changed the shield shape (from the show) and used a Rubber missile instead of using one of those fist pieces used in ultimate AXL But it might have been used to save space & weight. (in the show a fist comes out the shield after it opens 2 half-shield panels). King's mech has a somewhat weight problem for the shield/vehicle. The addition of a generic kingdom squire bot is okay (Robin isn't a full knight so does not have it's own "chicken" squirebot yet). Having a different colored Robin is even better because "ultimate" robin used his standard blue/azure minfiig and this one seems to use grey arms and black legs. On the bad guy side, the vehicle is a nice counterpart of hoverhorse, and even has spring loaded missiles integrated for offense. The structure/prison doesn't add a whole lot in terms of looks on it's own, but as a collector it will be a nice addition to the Jestro's Lair, and will fit it's design. Summer wave uses a lot of Ash Attackers but they look cool, and the black lance they use is also nice (2 in Jestro's lair have it also). Makes sense if they are like the closest of jestro's guards since they got the most armor out of the 3, that's how I see it anyway. (I haven't classified the battlepack guards yet) King's mech seems to have actually been built later in the show as an effort to defend the city so it might be an updated model with articulated knees :P Now we know all winter/summer sets and got all villains covered in toy form. (spider globlins only came with magazine so far however) despite them being in the game/show and on this: All that's left (for 2016) really is the minfig that comes with the book "The Book of Knights" and further magazine sets.

Just noticed Robin's face is used in the City Fun in the Park People set :)

70318 Glob Lobber is also small set coming this summer, which contains the "flame thrower" character, so with the 3 small sets you get 1 of each bad guy and 3 soldiers (6 minifigs) for €30 or less (with discount).

LEGO Shop@Home Netherlands sadly lists them at €14,99 here. I know it's different per country, €12,99 for Germany / France (and others). But that won't work if it's "LEGO Exclusive" Yeah Brickset makes a difference in listings, the minfig blister packs been listed as "LEGO exclusive" while the other sets (library, infernox, 2x mechs) are "Retail - Limited". Just noticed that recently.

Alright, makes sense.
