[PRESS RELEASE] LEGO Creator Expert 10272 Old Trafford Manchester United
TeriXeri replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was speculating about Minifig Soccer/Sports sets in the City forum, just based off 1 sticker, but we got a Fair people pack that was hinted on a sticker in 2019 , and 2020 also is an olympic year + euro 2020 soccer across many european countries. They did make soccer sets in 2000 during Euro 2000 , 20 years ago. -
[MOC][LEGO Ideas] The Modular Knight's Castle
TeriXeri replied to klockizbroda's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't think those 2 IDEAS are similar enough to be direct competition, the other also expired almost 2 years ago. I also think the idea of having 2 factions helps a lot, both as a playset for kids and army builder/expander for AFOLs. I like this one a LOT more as it feels more like 80s Castle. Also the other project doesn't have seperate thinner wall modules, which I really like as it allows horizontal expansion without using a huge amount of parts compared to double-walls. This set gives me vibes like this while the other does not , which also makes multiples of the set really expandable. -

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I don't have the newer capes, but if those old capes are the same material used as the ones in the Nexo Knight sets (2016-2017), those are really stiff. -
LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Yes, it's a €250+ model , but that still could bring Soccer/Sports related minifig sets somewhere else, like City, 2020 is also a year of Tokyo Summer Olympics. If they can do jungle, volcano, deep sea, space, sports doesn't sound too weird, especially with their own Sports brand in recent sets (2018 mountain biker, 2019 Ski Resort, 2020 racecar), and the figures in on the sticker also having red/white shirt. Not saying all sets have to be soccer either, the Fair people pack/sticker was only 1 set as well. -
LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Maybe, would be cool to have a set combine TV and Soccer, and previous soccer sets did have cameramen. The sticker says TV and Live. Set 3408 from 2000 -
Rewards with actual bricks in them been permanently sold out, since the start, not sure why they even have them on the site.

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
2009 is one of the few paper catalogs I have from that era, and indeed the Farm stands out. Back to current City : In 2019, the Downtown Fire set had a Fair poster tile, and we got a Fair People Pack. As for 2020, I have yet to discover if there's some hint in a set already. The only thing I could think of is Sports, with the Service Station having a Soccer Match on the TV screen, see sticker 5. 2019 LEGO City magazine had a comic about a soccer stadium as well even while it was more about lawnmowing and the included mini-set. 2020 would be the 20th anniversary of the official LEGO Soccer sets which came out in 2000 (I don't count Shell Promotional sets as those were very localized) I still have the year 2000 special edition of Championships Challenge with 5 extra Orange shirt minifigs representing The Netherlands, as the European Championship was in NL/Belgium that year, and for 2020 it's hosted all across Europe. Xtra also made a sports polybag, but soccer is missing. And Creator Expert also gets the Manchester United Stadium set. -

You're right, they just listed Dragonboat race as Retiring soon, which wasn't there a few days ago. -
LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Yeah I don't mind this new plate chassis myself. LEGO also made a lot of those wheel colors recently : https://brickset.com/parts/design-11208 (Warm Gold) new in 2019 in Land Bounty, but new in City in 2020. (Dark Azure) new in 2020 (Black) Only in 1 2014 set before, now back in 1 2020 set. (Police car shown above) (Silver) still relatively new since 2018. (Light Bluish Grey) used the most in the past. -
[MOC][LEGO Ideas] The Modular Knight's Castle
TeriXeri replied to klockizbroda's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is really one of the best Castle Ideas I've seen that would make a good set. It's not too big, yet uses full brick built walls that still keep the look of older sets with some new pieces for texture, and newer faces. Also a set like this with 2 smaller castles of different factions would make a great playset, or could be combined into 1 larger structure. Also makes it very expandable with multiple sets. -
LEGO Hidden Side 2020
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
How can you call receiving wrong color of parts not an error, impossible to know if it's a packing or production error. Part 6313372 is the same number listed in the catalogs of all the sets so should be all the same. LEGO has been dual-molding Trans-Neon Green and Yellowish Green as well for parts like this , maybe a mistake was made somewhere. Also could be that maybe the Yellowish Green part is actually used in Summer sets and there was a mixup with packing instead of moulding. I'm not saying that LEGO makes mistakes often but it happens, recently been seeing multiple reports of light grey parts received that are lighter then intended, and not just 1 set. -
Kind of weird that they released this tile 2 years after that set , while it clearly shows that set 60001 (white cat in tree / fireman with beard) Also, still would love to see minifig horses back into some non-licensed way as well, a horse might be too big for BAM/CMF but if a shark can fit in Xtra , so can a horse + saddle imo.

Since LEGO hasn't put cats in sets for a while (not counting CMF or Licensed) I really do hope to get a cat via BAM soon. I got a lot of dogs and parrots via City, but surprisingly they have no cats for years now, only via CMF, Marvel or Harry Potter. Xtra also been a source for blue parrots, sharks, husky dogs, but no cats yet. Of course farm animals would be great as well, my Nexo Knight pig is my only farm animal.

LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think he means Creator Expert vehicle (like Mustang), this thread is a bit confusing anyway as it mixes both 3-in-1 and Expert set discussions, while the Modular Buildings usually get their own discussions in the Town forum. -
LEGO Speed Champions 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
If ever do another Huracan as a single pack, I hope they pick either Orange, Yellow or Bright-Green The Urus uses Lime-Green , which is close to Verde-Ithaca, but Bright-Green would look more like Verde-Mantis. -
Chinese New Year’s Sets 2020 - Rumours and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Of course they might sell out short-term, especially during a promotion, but I was more pointing at the long-term, maybe not until 2021, but at least for a while longer. I know the first 2 sets retired already officially but those were also limited release, not reaching Europe or America at-all. Dragonboat Race also released later (in Europe/America) so that's another fair point. Still fantastic sets -
Great to have those in 1 place, always loved to see those backs of boxes and models of entirely different things compared to the main model. Also can see a lot of work went into this and the instructions

There's this website I found , as well as topic here on Eurobricks, a lot of photos and even many instructions. Certainly deserves more attention. https://www.backoftheboxbuilds.com/

I don't mind light-blue window colors on those Emergency Vehicles (and buildings) , and the use on the limegreen and darkblue cars (with lightblue headlights) still makes sense. Not saying that blue windows should be everywhere, I don't know how the surfer bus would look with black windows but I also like the blue windows there with the white and teal. Icecream truck where windows are trans-clear also makes sense. I still agree that 2 window colors in 1 set would be weird for things like alternate builds etc but it seems they've been doing that for a long time, especially in Police sets vs red/darkred villain car.
-
I still have the old one built at the place where I have my old LEGO, by now that set is 30 years old. At least the vehicle, honestly haven't checked if I still got all 3 videotapes. But I don't mix the old (pre 2000) and new (2016 onward) LEGO right now, maybe in the future I'd put the zebra doors on the newer car

Chinese New Year’s Sets 2020 - Rumours and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Personally not in a huge hurry on this, if it's anything like Dragonboat Race it'll likely still be in stock months from now. Maybe I'll get the Temple with the Year of the Rat promo and the other one later. -
Me too, I like the larger ratcheted ball joints, but some of those Nexo Knights sets that use the non-ratchet balljoints just feel stiff. I especially like the smaller "mixel" balljoint parts.
-
Nice, but I've learned to take those magazine comics to take a with a huge grain of salt with locations/buildings/sets they feature. For example Nexo Knights showed the City/Villages/Royal Transport "Hover Train" , among other things, which never had sets
