  1. While I don't have it, that is indeed a very nice set but was retired long before I came back into LEGO , and Creator haven't made houses like that since 2013, not sure why. Maybe the design reasons changed to a more playset approach with open back or hinged buildings for play access, as since 2011 minifigs were included, and 2012 had Friends launch. 2013 also was the year they put Creator on the larger Modular buildings boxes , but at that price/parts count and different designs I don't see those are direct replacements of Creator "houses" Emmet's Dreamhouse is the closest recent example of a more classic house, but had a lot of extra parts due to the spaceship mode.
  2. If it follows previous years, the largest 3-in-1 set should be released around June: 2019 : Petshop/Townhouse 969 pieces 2018 : Pirate Rollercoaster 929 pieces 2017 : Modular Family Villa 728 pieces , (January 2017 also had the 566 pieces Park Street Townhouse) 2016 : Vacation Getaways 792 pieces I'd love more family houses as well. I did like the Summer/June 2017 Family Villa ,that set also had 2 compatible smaller houses released alongside it ,Modern Home / Poolside Holiday, with 2 sets to follow for winter 2018 (Skate House / Winter Vacation) Now those houses all officially retired from LEGO.com so hopefully we get more houses of some sort, Skate House was the last to retire sold up to September 2019.
  3. I know I've been complaining about prices of sets a bit lately, but to my surprise, the 3-in-1 Toy Shop/Townhouse is priced at €40 here in NL, which is fantastic. Especially considering how "overpriced" the 2019 Outback Cabin felt at €35 NL price, which is less then half the size, and almost half the amount of parts (305 vs 554)
  4. I think it's nice to be excited for something new, and hopefully good, and keywords like Pirates and Castle are my favorite classic themes beside the always-present Town/City/Creator. It's been 2 years now since the last Nexo January wave, and Elves also ended more then a year ago. At least for 2019, the focus seemed to be mostly on Lego Movie 2 so a new Big Bang theme launch wouldn't really make sense. Hidden Side still launched in 2019 but had 8 sets, and 6 2020 sets, so is a somewhat smaller theme, like Elves. Ninjago getting Legacy and all is nice, but for me, it's a lot easier to get excited to get into a theme from the very beginning especially if it would fill a gap like Pirates or Castle. I came back into LEGO due to Nexo Knights launch, since that ended, my focus on set types shifted a bit more to preference for Location based sets. Of course without set names or any substantial info to go from it's pure speculation.
  5. 18 is close enough to previous themes at launch : 2016 Nexo Knights launched with 17 sets, 6 of which were Ultimate. https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Nexo-Knights/releasedin-EU-2016-01 2013 Chima launched with 16 sets, 7 of which were Speedorz. https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Legends-of-Chima/releasedin-EU-2012-12 2011 Ninjago launched with 17 sets, 7 of which were Spinners. https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Ninjago/releasedin-EU-2010-12
  6. Yes it's real, and will have 5-6 sets maybe more. https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Minions-The-Rise-of-Gru Some info I found here : https://www.stonewars.de/lego-2020/#lego-minions-2020 It also says May 2020 release date, while movie launches in July. Brickset also lists a 75548 75546 4+ 19,99€ 87 pieces 75547 4+ 29,99€ 199 pieces 75549 19,99€ 136 pieces 75550 39,99€ 310 pieces 75551 Buildable Figures of Kevin, Bob and Stuart (3-in-1) 49,99€ 876 pieces I assume the 75551 is brick-built big fig like they did with the Star Wars Porg in 2018 and 3-in-1 meaning build 1 at a time, but parts to change between those 3 characters.
  7. I suppose it shouldn't be too hard to turn the Cyber Dragon into a Blue/Neon Orange version at the very least
  8. If they can do Ghosts, Dragons, Nindroids, Time-Magic, Sky Pirates, Ice Samurai, Snakes and even a Digital Game World they can manage a Space subtheme.
  9. Could use the dark blue wing parts used in the Hidden Side Stuntplane as roof parts, 1 set comes with 8 of them , so covers a length of 32 studs. https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-6292955
  10. Just saw the review of the Stunt Plane on Brickset, and gotta say it's getting me interested in HS again, the wing design and the Mary figure are just very good. Those wing pieces just seem very useful for 6-wide vehicle/train builds as well. I didn't get the 2019 3-in-1 Airplane, which has a similar price point, but I might pick this up instead.
  11. I'm planning to go to the Amsterdam Store hopefully soon, I don't know what parts they have but BAM certainly looks great overall.
  12. As I've been saying before, with Ninjago going full "Nexo-Ninja-Gaming" theme at least now, room for some "Classic" theme certainly seems to open up a bit more. I certainly don't expect another Nexo-Pirates theme alongside that. 2016 when Nexo Knights launched, Ninjago had the Sky Pirates but those designs were a lot more dulled then the neon colors Nexo Knights had And now we see Ninjago fully going Trans Neon-Yellow and Neon-Orange in it's sets for 2020, I don't expect some neon-colored Pirates/Castle. With that said Hidden Side also still has it's neon yellow possesed figures and red/yellow ghosts for 2020. Of course pure speculation until we know more. I do hope for the more "Classic" take on the theme, going more traditional, and not yet another 5-colors of "heroes" that each need their colored vehicles each wave. Named characters aren't an issue, just don't overdo it, or add some smaller sets like Nexo Knights Ultimate sets for accesoires later on, I loved those even for the villain variants.
  13. That's not gonna help a lot but just annoy many people who don't live in US and got those now rare 2012 bricktober packs. I must not be the only one here to think that there are people new to classic space with 2014 Lego Movie 1, or 2019 Movie 2, or returned to LEGO due to that. I came back to LEGO in 2016 myself after 15 yrs, and at the very least, getting a new complete Red Spaceman would be nice again. Getting just helmets would only help a few people.
  14. It's a so far speculated summer theme (with set numbers but no names/parts count/pricing) with possibly Pirates and/or Castle elements in it. Likely know more in a few months. Hidden Side was codename Banana before it was revealed.
  15. It's the inconsistent part that doesn't make sense to me. Why is 2020 Snowspeeder, $20/€20, and then Mustafar $20 vs €27, and some $30/€30 sets like Obi Wan hut/Landspeeder , while other $30 sets are €40 here. And I've seen the opposite for City sets for the US where they are more expensive, like 2020 Racing Cars / Police Highway Arrest = $30 vs €20 and the Icecream truck somehow is $20 / €20. Anyhow, don't want to go too offtopic as this is SW forum.
  16. European prices on Licensed (which includes Speed Champions/Harry Potter as well) can be a lot worse, especially in NL For just 2020 , Spider Jet , Mysterio , Speed Champion Jaguar set = €40 ($30 in US) Mustafar Duel $20 vs €27. Spider-Man vs Doc Ock $20 vs €30 Many other sets are €5-€10 higher then the US $ price, especially in the 20-50 price range, even a €5-10 difference is a lot Couple years ago a $30 Star Wars set was €50 here somehow. I know US has it worse on City and Chinese new years etc (Temple Fair is $120 vs €100) but still most licensed seem cheaper there.
  17. Seems LEGO is really keen on listing the past again in recent years. 2018: 40th/60th anniversary sets Series 18 Classic Policeman 2019: Ninjago Legacy sets+magazine Benny's Space Squad 2020: LEGO Legacy Heroes Unboxed mobile game should officially launch in 2020 This book ?? LEAF Theme ?? I did get some Nexo Knights books in the past, some with figures, but this looks great as well. I know this is a new color so likely exclusive , but I do hope they make more Classic Space sets/figures as well for existing colors, like Red, Blue, Black at least, maybe re-issue of Green/Grey with new helmets. 2012 had some (Red/Blue/Black) spaceman re-issues in exclusive Toys R Us packs but not exactly worldwide, and no new 2019 helmets, yellow and white also but those were in Benny's Squad in 2019.
  18. Minions sets already have their set numbers assigned: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Minions-The-Rise-of-Gru 75546 - 75550 , could be more as Stonewars lists a 75551 , Trolls also had more sets then initially known. https://www.stonewars.de/lego-2020/#lego-minions-2020
  19. 2019 was a year I didn't really have a theme to collect as Nexo Knights ended in 2018, so most my sets were City/Creator 3-in-1 and some LEGO Movie 2 + Speed Champions F40 / 911 Worst would be unfair to list things I don't collect like Licensed or Technic, but overall I'd say the Wooden Figure was the worst LEGO product of 2019. Best Theme: Creator 3-in-1 Best Minifigure/Figure: Lime/Darkblue jet-pack+helmet Rex Dangervest (Emmet Dream House set) but I also really liked the City Space figures for 2019. Best Set: Just listing sets I collected : Benny's Space Squad Emmet's Dream House 3-in-1 Townhouse/Petshop Most Anticipated for 2020: Creator 3-in-1 Toyshop Leaf theme Summer sets , hopefully including a City People Pack or another 3-in-1 building.
  20. 2019 Apocalypseburg had a Barber/Tattoo parlor, Creator 3-in-1 2019 Townhouse/Petshop had a Barber Shop/Dentist alternate build, and 2020 Friends has a Barber shop as well. But that doesn't mean that they can't have a City Barber at some point, with the overlap between themes not impossible, especially now that City is making more shops again (2019 Burger Bar, Donut/Toy Shop, Ski Resort Shop)
  21. 1600+ parts + 14 minifigs for €100 could have been €160 or even €200 if it were a licensed theme set, with stickers. I know parts count isn't everything with all the small pieces, but I think the Temple Fair's price is more then "fair". I see it costs $120 in US so fair point on being more expensive, but here in NL, we often get the bad pricing on Star Wars and Harry Potter especially. Printed parts certainly don't inflate the price here on the Temple Fair set.
  22. Since people packs come out in summer, we might still get 1 Town, and 1 Subtheme pack, set names are not known yet.
  23. With all those spiderman/thanos/ironman mechs for 2020 I wonder if that's the current style of "constraction" going forward for a while, as in, more system-based and less technic. I know it's not the same as what true constraction is (bionicle/hero factory), but it still fills the gap of cheaper articulated "action-figure" style sets, especially at that €10 price point. Nexo Knight Battle Suits were also €10 but those newer sets have even more articulation.
  24. I'd personally prefer anything Castle/Pirates/Space that's non-licensed. But any other playtheme/buildings like Adventurers, Aquazone, Western etc would be welcome, or a return of the Creator Houses, Modular buildings are NOT the same.
  25. Seems there are some release-date differences per region, as for Ninjago, S@H both says January 1st for US and NL, meanwhile Hidden Side is listed at January 1st for US and December 26 for NL.
