Yes, it turns basically the same way as the 42056 does.. It works pretty much like every other system.. The buttons are the the only real unique part of the module, in fact, these were what brought this idea to a halt(then moved on to the Scoirpion chassis) last year because I could not figure out how to get them to work properly and I wanted the shifter to be it's own unit so the chassis would be modular.. I had posted about the idea of doing a push button HOG system a couple years ago in the "What function doe a supercar need?" thread.. I have no idea how brunojj did the HOG shifting in his car... I've seen his video of it, but it's difficult to really tell what is happening because everything is covered up... I am sure his switchers are designed completely different...

They are the 3/4 type pins. I would be much too scared to flex the part and try and fit two 3L ones in there... Oh, I am sure that I am not to first person to come up with that combo.. I was really surprised that they lined up the way that they did and while my original intent was doing the front of the model differently, I felt that I had to try and get a nice sloping front end curve using them.. I think this was the first time that I had ever used them in a model.. I did also recently use them in the body of a little Technic crow that I built for display...

Correct... His car also has 4 more speeds... The only thing that is somewhat unique about this model's gearbox is the left/right push button system with the indicator dial... I also checked around to make sure the way the actual gearbox and center console shifter is designed is different than any other that I have seen so that it isn't just a rehash of someone Else's design... My main goal for this was trying to come up with a different way to use the shocks that were similar in both the front and back... The length of the links and gear rack just so happened to be a match for what I needed... Even though the links are longer than the wishbones, there isn't any movement by the hubs(when straight or when steered) when the suspension is compressed(this was my main concern when using them) and everything moves properly, so I went with what I felt was the best option... Since it is pretty easy to implement, 'll probably use an ackermann set up in a future build...

Yes, I will take lots of pics of the entire chassis and probably post a link for them to bricksafe.. The chassis is basically broken down into 5 modules and I used multiple colored parts(all axles are the new colored ones) to help make it easy for anyone who wants to try and build it.. Coincidentally enough, someone on my youtube video posted that the "Underside was awful" and the "Color vomit ruins the whole moc" As you can see here, the entire moc is ruined by the underside color vomit.. Just goes to show that you cannot please everyone..

They are 5.5L axles using the stop to keep them from pulling loose... Unfortunately this is the shortest size axle that Lego makes like this... Sure, he could a shorter axle, but he knows that since this is a motorized model that the axles would easily work themselves loose in a short period pf time, so he went with the best solution... Nice Jeep Madoca..! -
The Best Lego Super Car

Nathanael's Predator is an excellent car to build considering he is a former designer for the LEGO Technic team and his model follows all of the guidelines that are expected from an official model.. The best place to get parts from is www.bricklink.com or you can also order them from LEGO's Bricks & Pieces section on their Shop-at-Home page.. -
Purism

This has been an interesting read.. Here is my thought on this subject after having watched AFOL Technic building evolve online over the last 15 or so years... Build what you want, any way that you want, but just don't expect everyone to accept your final product with open arms... In the last few years, I have been trying to build about as pure as I can, (Mainly not using any chromed wheels for eye candy) and I still get hate because I don't like to motorize everything that I build.. Is this critique going to force me to change my style for future builds..? Absolutely not.. I like to build what I think is interesting...- 179 replies

There is also a light missing on top.. Probably got bumped around during shipping... You would think they would properly display their models at a prestigious show like this.. -
Looks good..! Not a real big fan of a universal joint floating out there like this though..

I am not throwing a party for the guy that built it, I just thought that it was interesting to see in white.. To be honest if it were not for all of the threads here with people using 3rd party parts in their models including non Lego tires, motors, stickers, and 3D printed parts, I would have never posted these pics in this thread.. I completely agree with you with not wanting to get non Lego parts mixed into my inventory as I only use Lego and no 3rd party stuff, but this is something that people are just going to have to look out for now since these knock off Lego sets are getting so popular.. Since you called me out on this subject, let me ask you a question.. Have you ever "Celebrated" a model that you've built that used a non-authentic Lego part..?
