  1. I've used them before, but the major problem with them is that they were not designed to be used with any of the hubs(Black ones, newer style) They simply do not lock onto them properly without some modification which is an illegal method... This is from like 9 years ago...
  2. The 42039 replica is really good, but there are issues with the suspension that Lego would not do... For example IF they were using the older style hubs, they wouldn't use the shocks in the front like that because there is a chance that the edge of the shock could catch the edge of the steering arm... I would be really surprised if they used the old hubs...
  3. Wonder why there is such a large gap under the windshield in the 42037..?
  4. That is a good point... I don't know if they are 5 x 9 though.. I would think it would have a much longer sweeping curve.. The curve is pretty short like in the 3 X 7 panel... How many studs wide do you think this is..? 23..? Maybe 25..? Looks like it could be 25 from the front... Looks like two 5 x 11 in the back spoiler with a liftarm between them... maybe an extra stud on each end not being occupied...
  5. Makes you wonder why Lego would make another new panel when they probably could have gotten away with using a 3 X 7 and a little creativeness... Most likely will see more of this size in the summer sets... Or in some off the wall system set...
  6. They are definitely longer than the 3 X 7 panels...
  7. Most Likely the car is using these combined with the newer style hubs, which would explain why the yellow part of the shock is on top... With the distance between the shock travel, there is no chance of the spring getting caught on anything... It's ironic because I have been working on a new chassis that uses what will probably be a similar set-up in the front....
  8. This type of car has the engine in the rear... I am talking about the 42039... :)
  9. You can also see a peak of Yellow on each side right behind the front hood which could very well be shock absorbers... I am 99% sure it is an 11L one.. Which is a good thing like you said...
  10. It would be cool if they were 14L... 14L have become quite expensive... I am hoping that it does, but the suspension wouldn't have very far to travel...
  11. I think you may be right.. It is being used on the top of the handlebars... Edit: a 7L one would be way too short to make that connection.. It is an 11L one.. Curious what size the side ones are.. They are at least 12L
  12. Some rare orange liftarms in the Arctic vehicle.. Some are rather expensive on bricklink... 1 x 11 liftarm only ever came in one set...
  13. For as low to the ground as that 42039 is, I am willing to bet that it doesn't have any type of suspension at all... Lego wouldn't let one of their models "Bottom Out"
  14. Yeah... I really wish Lego would bring back styling packs... But in different colors...
  15. Yeah, I used trans-black ones in my Phantasm Twin Turbo... I was going to use trans-clear ones, but they didn't exist... Yet... Nice to see Lego bringing back the #3 connector in brown again after 12 years...
  16. Those trans-clear pieces in the headlamps of the 42039 are new... They didn't make those in trans-clear before... I think so... Unless they are some strange part from a system set....
  17. I am just a bit disappointed... Lots of new green and blue panels... Curious what functions the 42039 has... Doesn't appear to be very many...I see a HOG and a 12 tooth black bevel gear on the side that must move something...
  18. Maybe they will have some red #3 connectors or some other rare/discontinued parts in a non Technic set next year.. Sometimes we see oddball one-off colored Technic parts find their way into the mix... I was very vocal about my displeasure with the Light Blue Gray smooth toggle joints in that set...
  19. Wow... That is a really awesome piece of machinery you built there...
  20. Here is the question that I would like to know... Did you notice any new parts or the return of previously discontinued ones...? Nice... So they made a new Technic mudguard just for this set..? I suppose it is green...
  21. Thanks for the great video Gary..! Glad that you enoyed building it..
  22. The Lexus LFA is one of my favorite cars of all time.. Looking forward to seeing your progress on this...
