  1. I think they are the smaller wheels from the 42043..
  2. Funny you should mention this, I had brought this new part being used for that exact model last night during a phone conversation with Eric(Blakbird)
  3. I also think those black flex axles on the Hydroplane racer are 7L plugged into a tan axle pin..
  4. Maybe changes gears from one speed to a 2nd speed.. You can see a red clutch gear in there.. And is that an orange 1/2 bushing..? Nice to see a big black steering wheel in a small set..
  5. The driving ring extensions over the rear tread links also appear to be in a new color.. I've seen pics of the other Nexo Knight sets and really couldn't see any other new parts or colors.. That red connector looks like a #4... Rats..
  6. The color scheme in the 42052 looks exactly like Nathanael's Predator.. Yes, the stickers have changed...
  7. Here is a pretty reliable independent floating rear suspension module I did a few weeks ago..
  8. As a kid who grew up in the 80's with all of the coolest toys including the awesome M.A.S.K. line, I had always wanted to do a legit M.A.S.K. style vehicle in Technic.. I did a car back in 2009, but it wasn't very good as I was still learning how to build... When Jim announced this new contest, I decided to try my hand at a similar sized scale car(I guess around 1:18 scale) to the original vintage M.A.S.K. vehicles.. I already had the style of car in my head to go along with the name.. This model is not for the contest, but instead to test myself with something new and possibly to inspire everyone still competing during this final week... I have been sitting on a dozen of these Technic parts for about 4 years trying to figure out what to do with them And I finally got the chance to use 4 of them in an interesting way.. I may use these as some type of air intakes in a future super car... Since the model was an Enforcer and would be primarily black, I knew that it would be tough to make a really interesting looking vehicle being limited with only a black and white color palette, luckily I got to absolutely abuse this part which worked out quite nicely.. The vehicle's 4 wheels fold down by turning a small knob in the rear and both of the doors also go up at the same time to act as wings while revealing 4 small Flick Fire missiles ready to blow up the nearest bad guy... The rear spoiler pulls outwards and upwards while dropping the rear valance at the same time to expose defensive dual smoke screen blasters to blind any pursuers... The front machine guns pop out by sliding a lever forward between the seats and retracts by sliding it back.. I made use of this part to lock the guns into and out of place... The car doesn't have any steering, suspension, gearbox, or fake engine(well it does have a fake engine style cover). The wheels roll, but that is about it as I wanted to actually build something just like what I used to play wiht back in the 80's.. Anyways, here it is, The Shuriken Brickshelf Link
  9. I don't know if anyone is aware of this, but if you use your Toys R Us Card on Thursdays you get 10% off of your entire purchase... My wife grabbed these sets yesterday(Along with a Big Bang Theory set and a new motorcycle set).. She saved about $100 on everything.. So far none of the Technic sets have been marked up in price and are what they are supposed to be.. They also didn't have the 42043 and 42042 on the shelves becasue they didn't have room.. I advise anyone looking for the new sets to either call their local store or do a search on Toys R Us's webstire for stores near them as they may in the inventory even if they are not on the shelves.. They also had two 42039 Race Car sets, but they were on the floor because of no space available..
  10. The US Toys R Us website has had some of the new 2nd half sets for sale for a couple days now... I would imagine they'll be showing up in the stores very soon.. Still no 42039 set though...
  11. You can't go by digital designer because Technic parts are not all true and consistent with each other.. And even though it seems that a model should work, that may not always be the case... Unless like Lipko said, you are using both digital and real at the same time... I build by trial and error...
  12. "That part of the world" = China... This isn't the first time that I've had issues with thieves from China... One of the things that pisses me off about this is that over the years I've had dozens of people from China email me asking for free instructions for various reasons(No Paypal, No Money, Parents won't Let them buy, etc) and I have always given them out.. And go figure, the one country that I have had more problems with than any other is the one that I get the most free requests from.. Well that is most certainly going to stop.. 99% of my actual instruction sales are Europe, Canada, USA, and Australia..
  13. Exactly.. Going to youtube and finding a song that I like that is already there for free and converting it to MP3 to listen to while I am building is much different than taking that same converted song and selling it on some knock off thieving website for $1.99 I honestly can't believe(well I guess that I can now) that people have the balls to sell instructions that are already being offered for free... That is what gets me the most.. We already have some names of the people who have bought instructions from Taiwan who we suspect are reselling them.. What is going to happen is that we are just going to stop selling to that part of the world..
  14. Gorgeous...! Very smart design.. I'll admit, I was very disappointed to see a fantastic model-team style car like that built by one of the top car builders in the world moved to such an obscure forum only to lose the attention that it deserved and get buried... I have a Technic based website and I am promoting that model on my front page..
  15. Well well well.. What a coincidence... Hasbro Reveals That They Are Working On M. A. S. K.
  16. You can check out my brickshelf folder, I probably have some new stuff added there.. This thread is a couple years old now and I don't even remember what I was building..
  17. I think it looks very futuristically refreshing...
  18. Someone from China sent me a link for this website where there are many instructions being resold.. Some of them are offered by the original builders for free, but they are selling them anyways... I've seen Nico's, Sheepo's, Nathanael's, mine, and quite a few others... The site is a bit difficult to navigate because of the language... Unless you speak that language, you just have to scroll around.. LINK
  19. I have been noticing a lot of cracks in my technic parts, some of them are brand new.. I bet I've thrown away 100+ parts this year..
  20. I did a car model a few years ago that had a remote opening door mechanism and it was important that the blue pins be inserted in a certain way (2L end pointing downwards) so that the doors would open and close smoothly.. Otherwise they would get hung up on that very small portion of pin that sticks out..
