  1. I think that him being a gladiator is a good idea and makes sense as he is an individual like Slicer and not a horde enemy like Scorpio and Warrior. It would give him a purpose for the theme and explain why he is a humanoid and individual.
  2. One idea that I have is to use a connection similar to the Barraki eyes, but a lightsaber bar straddling the width of the head. Not only could it use one part for both eyes that is already in production and plentiful, it would give the Creatures (cute) beady eyes and give them somewhere to clip onto the Toa's heads. This part is already available in all the trans-elemental colors. I wouldn't be surprised if they used a similar connection scheme to the Barraki, where the eyes are held on the underside by clips. This same method was also used for Thornaxx's head so it isn't outside the realm of possibility.
  3. I saw that you were able to get the first comment in about that. Gave a very good laugh. It's just promo art, though, so it's not worth overthinking it.
  4. 'Adrenaline Modes' are the way that the Master's weapons where able to transform into a form of transportation, like how Kopaka's shield became skis. As of right now there is no apparent way the Uniter's weapons can become forms of transport. We don't have an official name yet for what the combinations between the Uniters and the Creatures are. I, personally, have been calling them 'Unities' or '[Toa]'s Unity'. They are more analogous to the 'Powered Up Modes' where the Masters received the Protector's weapons. Edit: Tahu and Lewa's Unities are them with wings, Kopaka and Onua's are them with enhanced shoulderpads, Gali gains fins, and Pohatu gains a stinger tail. That seems to be about it.
  5. I meant that his summer set, Umarak the Destroyer, is the one that could include a blended MoCo to match the 'Ekimu the Mask Maker' set having a blended MoCr. It would allow them to give cool variants of the masks instead of just giving us the same colors. That is assuming Ekimu still wears the MoCr (pretty dang likely) and Umarak includes the MoCo again (which is where I got the idea- will UtD contain a secondary mask?). This is all my own idea though and I will be totally okay if it was proven false. So, today, I was thinking of how the arms are attached to the torso. I've come up with a theory that it uses two female axles to attach the shoulders, like this piece. How I have deduced this is by comparing it to the head, which I assume is the same head as 2015. The torso armor laid on top extends a bit to the side, making it 6 modules wide as of the widest points. The (upper) torso overall seems to be 10 modules high, as evidenced by the apparent length of the arms on the poster. Pohatu and Kopaka use similar shoulder builds using a typical y-joint behind the shoulder armor, Lewa uses Hordika necks, Onua uses Glatorian necks attached perpendicular, Tahu uses axles with stops in a similar way to 2015, and I think Gali uses the same method as Tahu. Edit: Here's an imgur album with LDD images exhibiting what I was talking about.
  6. I just had an idea as to why Umarak includes the MoCo. What if the summer sets (Ekimu and Umarak) respectively contain corrupted versions of the MoCr and MoCo? They could be blended between gold and the respective colors (Trans Light Blue and Trans Purple), or silver (ala the 08 release of the Ignika). The story consequences of this could be that, after Umarak gets a hold of the MoCo in the winter wave, he triggers some sort of reaction with both masks.
  7. I saw the video quite a few times as a preroll commercial, so I have a feeling that it was just used a lot as commercial where, yes, there is little to no interactivity like 'Likes'.
  8. Yeah, i'm tired of people making this connection just because some preliminary art used it as a placeholder. G2 probably won't ever be connected to G1's story because it has been said numerous times that G1's complicated and convoluted story was the reason it got cancelled. There's no reason to scrap a line for five years and overhaul it from the ground up only to reconnect it with what came before. Here's a good analogy- it's like if you walked into an Apple store tomorrow and they where selling Apple IIs in place of Macbooks. They can reference them and recognize their past, sure, but dragging in old and outdated product isn't realistic.
  9. That poster looks amazing. Tahu looks amazing. I really like the Skull Armor on his shoulders and the fact that he does have both 6M and 5M Bones in Trans Neon Orange (on his lower legs and upper arms respectively), finally being released in the US. That 6M bone is up for debate though- does the addon look to be 5M or 6M long? I'm sorta concerned about Mata Nui being there; really hoping it is just a placeholder for Okoto. Also don't like how janky the armor looks on his upper leg there...
  10. What is the point behind co-packs anyway? Are they a Toys R Us thing where they throw a bunch of sets together in a giftset? I've only ever seen a City one (pretty sure it was 66523) in person.
  11. I have to say that I dislike the original Kaukau- the design itself is very good, but I hate the fact that the entire mask is Trans-Blue and not just the visor with the mask coming in two pieces. I remember seeing a 3D printed model that did just that using a Mahri visor, but I can't seem to find it anymore.
  12. I've liked the idea that the MoUP is the true big bad from Day 1, and having the MoUP be stealing the masks over time until it becomes its own entity in the end would make some pretty interesting story. The main issue is not making it feel too repetitive and being able to mix things up a little (Like the Toa occasionally getting some masks that get stolen from them later.) Makes me wonder what Legendary Masks they can come up with. We have the Masks of Creation, Control, and Time so far; some ideas I have include those for more universal forces like Light, Gravity, etc. and more magical things like Spirit, Magic, etc.
  13. I have a feeling it is a similar prophecy saying that 'great heroes will tame the forces of nature' or something like that. Edit: Here are the two bins of objects sitting by the Toa. The first bin looks like the crystal addons and the second bin looks like something else, maybe the swords. This leads into the idea that the Toa get upgraded by Ekimu. What I find interesting is that the pieces look like they are in a different art style- perhaps hinting that the style seen in the picture if the one that will be used for the 'Journey of One'.
  14. It's pretty obvious to me now that it wasn't a typo, but someone misreading it. I'm very happy that we have official info now for the graphic novel and the last episode has been released. It looks quite promising and I am pretty excited.
  15. Huh, people don't like Onua? I like him quite a lot. His hammer looks far better as a massive hammer than the 2015 version (not knocking on that weapon though, it is awesome). His legs look even more chunky than in 2015 and his arms look to be about the same. The Skull Torso Shells should work well as shoulder armor because they are not too big or too small. While I will be switching them out for the large kaiju feet in the end, his feet work okay for me as well. Even his mask, while not the classical Pakari, is a reasonable update of the Mask of Earth. I liked that they made him wide in 2015 but I feel that I will be okay in the end with it despite this apparent gappiness in the shoulders. (even more) TRANS PURPLE! He is still a 'Day One Purchase' for me as I have said a few times before.
  16. Once again, you are jumping the gun a lot. We are not going to get official pictures so early. The reveal last year was because Bionicle was a returning theme with a big fanbase and is not a pattern that will be repeated. Now it is just another Lego theme that is getting a wave of new sets every six months or so. Did we get official pictures from Lego of the Skull Villains when Episode 9 premiered and we saw a Skull Warrior lurch out of the ground? No, Lego unveiled them a week or so prior to the release date.
  17. I am hoping that Ekimu will be a lot like what 'Toa Ekimu' designs that have popped up look like, pretty much the same but with longer limbs and a normal torso. Speaking of which, do you think we will get a new mask or will he include the MoCr? Possibly in a new color?
  18. I don't think that styling is the way the episodes will look, but if it is I will be okay with it. It looks like the sets but cell shaded outlines ala Borderlands to me. I really believe that image is just a placeholder to show what Bionicle is though, like they googled 'Bionicle' and that is the first thing that came up.
  19. That's a very good whack at a new torso. Have you tried using Technic brackets like this or this?
  20. Netflix US just posted this tweet teasing the new series. Confirmed 'Netflix Original' along with a City series.
  21. I was thinking that they could easily compile this year's animations into an episode if they cut out the recaps and extraneous bits. They could also just put them on there as the normal webisodes and not a compilation. As to the title... 'Journey To One' pretty obviously references that the Toa must go on a 'Journey' to become 'One' i.e. find the creatures, unify with them, and unify as a team. That statement makes me wonder if there is going to be a Matoran Nui esque combination at the end of the year... And also a bit sad that the 'Unities' are just pegging the creatures onto the back and not full-blown combination models.
  22. I think that I will get all of the sets, but just over time. This year I rushed out to get the Winter 2015 sets as soon as possible (thanks to the buildup of hype for them), but next year I will more likely space out my purchases. 'Day One' purchases for me are definitely Onua, Terak, Tahu, Ikir, and Umarak though.
  23. It's available for HUF 1850 from a seller in Hungary on Bricklink, which is cheaper than what I see on eBay.
  24. Yup, had forgotten about that new gear. I will add that to the list because I can see it for sure. On the torso functions, though, I am going to leave those pieces off for now because it is mostly a mystery. Yup. Dark Tan Vorox Armor at the base of Ketar's tail, and Umarak includes both the large and small varieties of the 'bone spikes' in Dark Tan. Honestly, I wish that Ketar and Pohatu did not have a large mix of browns and stayed with Dark Orange, but I am sure it will look good in set form.
  25. Okay, I have compiled a list of new recolors and what colors new parts appear in based on the prelims. Those marked with a question mark are ones I am unsure upon. If you need clarification on any parts or want to correct/validate my observations feel free to say so. Old Parts: New Parts: Masks:
