That's why I suggested Storm for Jungle and Flood for Water.

"They were forced together... They were forced to fuse! This is wrong!" I would want the other three beasts (if there are six total) should be Blizzard (Ice) Beast, Flood (Water) Beast, and Sandstorm (Stone) Beast, with the three revealed being Quake (Earth) Beast, Storm (Jungle) Beast, and Lava (Fire) Beast.

Ekimu saying "his evil" really, really makes me suspect the 'sentient MoUP' theory is in play here and we will see a Garmadon-esque Heel-Face-Turn in the end.

Huh, interesting. We just might have. It might still be him in his Protector form, but I agree with you that it is most likely different. That is Onua breaking free, which is a shame also because I expected that to be Makuta popping out in episode 18, 19, whichever one will be the last one.

Star Wars Constraction 2015 Discussion
TheDesuComplex replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, I find it odd that these are included in the embargo as well, I imagine it's because it would be too much trouble saying 'oh, it's okay to talk about six of the upcoming sets, but not the others' and it would be too confusing in a way that could compound the leaks. I'll still respect it though. -
Yeah, It's obviously fake. The head is definitely form one of the stock images. I do agree that the 'Guys' where silly, but in the good sort of way; if they were given out as free (or near free) polybags I would not complain about them.

Than people complain about the Technic function 'breaking the aesthetic'. For real though, I'm really hoping that the creatures are creative Technic-CCBS fusion builds like LoSS and Skull Scorpio, even if people will complain about them.

That's part of why I want to get multiples of them specifically. I want to have two copies of Warrior so that I can make one into a custom in order to have a Skull Villain for Gali to fight, and for the sake of having two of all the pieces that only come in a multiple of one in the set. In the same vein, I want another Slicer in order to have two of all the pieces and to have extra of the exclusive Trans-Bright-Green recolors.

I'm still hoping to get two of all the sets save Basher and Scorpio, mainly because I want two of each part...

Thank you for this objective look at the numbers. While I think this whole thing of calling 2015 releases 'cheap' for not having as many sets in the second half as in the first half is absurd and in no way reflective of how much effort and budget has been put into the year, I can see where it is coming from, as it seems for the majority of Bionicle's run it had roughly an equal number going from one release to the next. I myself am happy with the pattern that 2015 shares with 2001, as it leaves wiggle room for the second wave to do something weird and fun.

I'm still holding out that it is a GWP in the month of October to celebrate Halloween (in the US at least) with a spooky scary golden Skull mask.

Yes, it's made for the MoCr, because both members of the set are going after it and because it is the big MacGuffin of the year and warrants a stand of some sort. I'm just gonna scrap the stand myself and toss the Protector mask in my small bin I already have going of extra masks.

Usually, the first wave consists of smaller sets and the second wave consists of larger sets. That's still just an oversimplification but it's a trend that has pretty much stayed true throughout the years. The first wave is also usually more 'hyped up' than the summer wave which more or less continues with the same theme. More sets are purchased between August-December because of the large amounts of birthdays and holidays.

I really wish that on both PaB and Bricklink there could be categories dedicated to CCBS. Such categories could include: CCBS Bones, CCBS Shells, CCBS Armor (Addons), CCBS Weapons. Sadly, in terms of Bricklink, they most likely don't care about it enough to switch it from everything tossed under 'Hero Factory', 'Bionicle', and 'Large Figure Part'. In terms of PaB, it is most likely mixed up the way it is because that is how the parts are categorized internally. Speaking about Bricklink, I really wish that decorated parts were available as 'sub-parts' and options, but that isn't pertinent to the topic of this discussion.

The reason the gearbox has an extra module is to allow the space for the gears to swing, and the extra friction gears in the middle. The only way I could really see them fixing this is making what is essentially a normal CCBS bone torso but with a gearbox replacing most of the upper chest. However, this would dissallow the heights to be different on the Gearboxes, which the 2015 Toa use to their advantage to create varied builds. Someone mentioned it in the set thread, but I would really like for Pohatu to use some tan now that we are seeing it in the Star Wars figures. He could really benefit from it in the same way Onua has benefited from the addition of Purple, being a brighter color that still fits thematically with his element.

Yeah, I was skeptical from the beginning based on Neckir's past behavior, which has (from personal experience) varied from standoffish to outright rude, and to fabricate a fake leak just to string the entire community along is the nail in the coffin. All he is doing is making actual leaks harder and harder to believe, and raising standards for the sets when they do come out. I do agree that so many fake leaks are a symptom of getting the leaks so early last year (which was totally an anomaly and NOT something to be expected every year by the way), which leads others to be more easily believed. The silver lining to all this is that the grievances people held against the sets based on his leaks (lack of Keetorange, for example) do not apply.

My best is that we will see a Protector-sized Makuta next summer trying to go after the MoCo, ala Ekimu this year. That way we will have the main two characters lined up for 2017's presumed epic showdown for the MoUP. it is unknown whether he will be in his Protector form or enlarged form; I'm hoping for him to be reverted back to his Protector form so that him and Ekimu will be evenly matched.

It has been confirmed for not appearing in September, which still leaves three more months for it to crop up. I'm betting that it will be a freebie in October.

What are the most underrated Hero Factory sets?
TheDesuComplex replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I really liked the Drop Ship. It seems like it was forgotten because it was an exclusive set from before CCBS, but it was an extremely nice attempt at using the canisters within the context of the story and making them the center of a play function. -
To me, the Trans-Dark-Green is a beautiful color. To each their own though; you certainly make a good point with Olive Green, and I'm on board with this idea. Thank you for listing off a few colors that need more parts; I've seen sentiments before that Bionicle needs to keep away from the 'Metru' colors and stick with more vibrant colors, which I completely agree with. These are all a really neat idea. The masks, on top of the 'Unity' models we are guessing, means that there is a much higher incentive to get both figures as opposed to the relatively wimpy 'Powered Up' forms; there are also so many ways the play pattern can go.

I think there won't be an 'after CCBS'. CCBS was designed from the ground up to be a unified and lasting system for Constraction themes. It's here to stay, and I doubt it will be discontinued in any reasonable sense, only more parts added to the catalog. Are you thinking something along the lines of the changeover to 'studless' parts in Technic? That's far more likely.

Talking from the fake leaks... I am really hoping that we see a lot of new recolors in colors we have already seen but have small amounts of. Mainly the smaller Toa's colors and all of the transparent colors; more shells in Dark-Azure, Dark-Orange, Trans-Dark-Blue, Trans-Purple, etc. come to mind. I also think it would be good to separate Ice and Water as having Trans-Light-Blue and Trans-Dark-Blue, which works good at representing crystalline ice and deep ocean respectively; I'm okay with Water's current use of both colors either way. Hoping that Umarak uses Trans-Dark-Green as mentioned, as it would give a really good chance at separating him from the six main elements and give the opportunity to NOT make the big bad use Black and Trans-Neon-Orange.

Honestly, while there are issues with the $10 price point and considering what will be possible, I think that they can fit a lot in if they get creative. Wizwuz is a spiderlike creature, and he's a $5 Mixel; I know that's comparing peanuts to kumquats, but they don't need to spend a ton of parts to at least get the arachnid impression across.

While it's a shame, at least it did pique interest and provide a bit more discussion. Looking forward to what info we do get that is legitimate.
